The SmileJet Vietnam Promise

Every patient we send to any of the five SmileJet Vietnamese cities is backed by these commitments. In writing. Enforceable. Country-wide.

The SmileJet country-wide treatment guarantee covers every patient sent to any of the five SmileJet Vietnamese partner cities — Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hoi An, and Phu Quoc. The guarantee runs for 12 months from the date of treatment and is transferable: a patient treated in Hoi An who later needs a revision can have that revision performed in Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh City without returning to their original clinic. The guarantee covers clinical failures — implant rejection, crown debonding, veneer delamination — and excludes patient-initiated damage, non-compliance with post-op instructions, and cosmetic dissatisfaction not attributable to clinical error. Platform fees are refunded in full if SmileJet cannot match a patient to a verified clinic within seven days of enquiry. The guarantee is enforceable in writing. All SmileJet partner clinics across the five Vietnamese cities are on-site inspected and re-audited annually to the same 18-point standard.

Every SmileJet partner clinic across the five Vietnamese cities is on-site inspected and meets our quality standard. The standard is identical regardless of city — sterilisation, credentials, equipment, and outcomes audited by a single country-wide verification team.

12-month treatment guarantee, transferable across cities

If any treatment-related issue arises within 12 months of completion, we coordinate free re-treatment at our Vietnamese partner network. Hoi An patients can be re-treated in Da Nang. Phu Quoc patients can be re-treated in Ho Chi Minh City. Country-wide coverage, transferable.

Free re-quote on arrival, in any city

If your case turns out more complex than the photos showed once you reach your chosen city, we re-quote you on arrival. No surprise bills. If you choose to walk away after the in-clinic consultation, we refund any SmileJet platform fees in full.

Match in your chosen city, or full refund

If we cannot match you to a suitable clinic in your chosen Vietnamese city within 7 days of your inquiry, we refund any SmileJet platform fees in full and offer to route you to an alternate Vietnamese city of your preference. You are not stuck with a city that does not fit.

How the country-wide guarantee actually works

The Vietnam Promise is country-wide because the SmileJet Vietnamese partner network is country-wide. The dental school pedigree at the National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology is national, not regional. The verification process is identical across cities. The clinical materials — Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Osstem, Dentium implants — are the same brands in every partner clinic. So when something needs re-treatment, the network can absorb the case in any of the five SmileJet cities.

This matters in practice. Consider a Hoi An All-on-4 patient who returns home, then six months later experiences an issue with one implant site. Under city-bound guarantees that some operators offer, that patient would have to fly back specifically to Hoi An. Under our country-wide guarantee, they can be re-treated in Da Nang (a 30-minute drive away if they prefer Da Nang's airport access) or in Ho Chi Minh City (if their original case is best resumed there). The clinical record travels with them. Their guarantee travels with them.

The same logic covers re-quoting. If a Phu Quoc patient arrives and the on-site consultation reveals their case is more complex than photos suggested, the SmileJet partner there will re-quote with the new case complexity factored in. If the patient prefers to seek a second opinion at a Ho Chi Minh City clinic instead, that is honoured at no platform fee penalty. The promise is to deliver the right clinical match, not to lock the patient into the first city they picked.

What we do not promise

To be honest about what is and is not covered:

The 12-month guarantee covers treatment-related issues — implant failure, restoration debonding, prosthetic mechanical failure under normal use. It does not cover damage from accidents, injury, or failure to follow post-treatment care instructions.
We do not pay for return flights for re-treatment. The clinical work is at no charge under the guarantee; getting back to Vietnam is on you. Most patients who need re-treatment combine it with another trip rather than flying solely for the re-treatment.
We do not guarantee a specific clinic match — only a suitable clinic match in your chosen city. The verification network is what we curate, not a single named practice.
We do not guarantee any specific clinical outcome. Implant survival rates at protocol-aligned clinics meet the published Moraschini 2015 systematic review benchmark of approximately 94.6% pooled five-year survival, but no clinical procedure is 100% guaranteed.

How we hold ourselves accountable

Outcomes tracked country-wide

We track every SmileJet-referred patient outcome for 12 months post-treatment, regardless of city. Clinics whose complication rates drift above benchmark are removed from the network.

Annual re-audit

Sterilisation logs, instrument tracking, waste disposal protocols, and outcome data are re-audited annually for every partner clinic in every Vietnamese city. The standard does not slacken over time.
