Treatment coordination support
How SmileJet liaises with your treating partner clinic, and the wider partner network across the five Vietnamese cities, to help resolve treatment-related issues. This is coordination support, not a warranty or insurance product: no promised remedy, no fixed coverage window, no no-charge re-treatment, no reimbursement.
If a treatment-related issue arises after you return home, you are not on your own. SmileJet coordinates with your original treating partner clinic and the partner network across the five Vietnamese cities to help organise a clinical review and any follow-up care. What this is not: it is not a warranty or insurance product, it does not promise a specific remedy, it sets no fixed coverage window, and it does not provide no-charge re-treatment or reimbursement. Clinical decisions, pricing, and any remedy rest with the treating partner clinic.
What treatment coordination support actually means
SmileJet is a marketplace, not a clinic. Coordination support is the help we give you in dealing with the clinical side when something needs looking at after your treatment.
When a treatment-related issue arises, SmileJet acts as the point of contact between you and the partner clinic that treated you. We help you describe the issue clearly, pass it to the treating partner clinic, and organise a clinical review. If follow-up care is appropriate, we help with scheduling across the partner network. That is the whole of what coordination support is: liaison, communication, and scheduling help.
It is important to be precise about what coordination support is not. It is not a warranty or an insurance product. It does not promise that any particular outcome will be delivered. It sets no fixed coverage window during which a remedy is owed. It does not entitle you to no-charge re-treatment, and it does not reimburse treatment, travel, accommodation, or any other cost. Whether re-treatment is clinically appropriate, what it involves, and how it is priced are decisions made by the treating partner clinic, not by SmileJet.
Situations we can help coordinate
For each of these, SmileJet liaises with the treating partner clinic to organise a clinical review and, where appropriate, help schedule follow-up care. Any remedy, and its cost, is determined by the clinic.
Implant concerns
If a dental implant placed at a partner clinic shows signs of trouble, such as mobility, peri-implantitis with bone loss, or fracture of the implant body, SmileJet helps you raise it with the treating partner clinic and coordinate a clinical review at any of the five Vietnamese cities. Any bone grafting, re-placement, or other treatment is assessed and priced by the clinic.
Crown, bridge, or veneer debonding
If a crown, bridge, or veneer placed at a partner clinic comes loose from its tooth or implant abutment, SmileJet coordinates a review with the treating partner clinic. Whether the item can be re-cemented or needs to be remade, and on what terms, is the clinic's clinical and commercial decision.
Restoration fracture
If a crown, bridge, veneer, or full-arch prosthesis cracks or fractures, SmileJet helps organise an assessment by the treating partner clinic to determine the cause and the appropriate next step. Fabrication and placement of any replacement is arranged and priced by the clinic.
Endodontic complications
If root canal therapy performed at a partner clinic develops a treatment-related complication, such as re-infection, post-treatment pain requiring intervention, or a retreatment need, SmileJet helps you raise it with the treating partner clinic and coordinate a clinical review.
Surgical-site infection
Early post-operative infection is normally managed by the treating partner clinic as part of the original treatment package. For infections that appear later, SmileJet helps coordinate a clinical review by the treating partner clinic to assess whether and how it relates to the original treatment.
Manufacturer warranty questions
Premium implant systems carry their own manufacturer warranty on the implant component (for example Straumann). These warranties are separate from SmileJet and remain in force on their own terms. SmileJet can help you and the partner clinic identify an applicable manufacturer warranty during a clinical review.
What coordination support does not do
Being clear about the limits matters more here than anywhere. Coordination support is help, not a promise of any specific result.
| Coordination support is not | What this means in practice |
|---|---|
| A warranty or insurance product | No fixed coverage window, no promised remedy, and no entitlement to any particular outcome. It is a coordination service only. |
| Free or no-charge re-treatment | Whether re-treatment happens, and what it costs, is decided and priced by the treating partner clinic. SmileJet does not promise that any work will be done at no charge. |
| Reimbursement of any kind | SmileJet does not refund treatment, and does not reimburse travel, accommodation, transfers, or meals. Travel for any return trip is the patient's responsibility. |
| Cover for issues unrelated to the original treatment | Accidents, trauma, non-compliance with written post-treatment care, chewing on hard objects, untreated grinding where a recommended night guard was not used, gum disease from poor hygiene after treatment, and normal wear beyond a restoration's natural lifespan are not treatment-related issues. |
| Cover for work done elsewhere | Treatment performed at non-partner clinics, and modifications to your SmileJet treatment by a home-country dentist, fall outside what coordination support can assess. |
| A substitute for clinical judgement | Every decision about diagnosis, suitability, and the appropriate remedy is made by a qualified clinician at the treating partner clinic, not by SmileJet. |
| SmileJet coordinates; partner clinics treat. Any clinical or pricing decision is the treating partner clinic's. | |
How coordination works, step by step
If something needs looking at, here is how SmileJet coordinates with the treating partner clinic on your behalf.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. You contact SmileJet | Reach us through the channel you used to book (Facebook Messenger, email, or phone) and describe the issue. Photos of the affected restoration help. |
| 2. We acknowledge and gather information | We acknowledge promptly and ask for supporting information: any post-treatment X-rays from your home dentist, when the issue arose, and any dental work done since the original treatment. |
| 3. We coordinate a clinical review | We pass the information to the original treating partner clinic and help arrange a clinical review. The clinic assesses whether and how the issue relates to the original treatment. |
| 4. We help schedule follow-up care | If the partner clinic determines follow-up care is appropriate, we help with scheduling. You may choose any partner clinic across the five Vietnamese cities, subject to clinical suitability and the clinic's agreement. |
| 5. The clinic treats and prices the work | Any follow-up treatment is performed and priced by the treating partner clinic. SmileJet does not set, waive, or reimburse those charges. Travel, accommodation, and meals for the trip are your responsibility. |
One shared record across five cities
Any partner clinic can pick it up
You can return to the original treating clinic, but you do not have to. Any partner clinic across the five Vietnamese cities can be the location for a clinical review or follow-up care, subject to clinical suitability and the clinic's agreement.
Your clinical record travels with you
Partner clinics share your treatment record: X-rays, treatment plan, materials used, and surgical notes. A clinic that did not perform the original work still has full visibility of it, which makes a review across the network practical.
You can choose a different city
Some patients prefer to combine a return trip with a different recovery experience. A Hoi An patient might choose Da Nang; a Phu Quoc patient might choose Ho Chi Minh City. The choice of city is yours within the partner network.
Materials are matched where possible
Where follow-up work is carried out, the partner clinic will normally match the brand and tier of materials used originally unless a clinical reason calls for a change. Any difference in material cost is set and explained by the clinic.
Over the longer term
SmileJet continues to help coordinate any care you need at partner clinics for as long as you are a SmileJet patient. There is no fixed window after which we stop helping you communicate with the network, because coordination is a service rather than a time-limited entitlement. What follow-up care costs is always set by the treating partner clinic at its standard rates.
For implant cases, the modern dental implant has a clinical lifespan of 20 or more years, so complications are uncommon, and most later issues relate to the crown or bridge on top of the implant rather than the implant itself. Replacing a crown or bridge after its natural lifespan (typically 10 to 15 years) is a normal part of ongoing dental care. Where a premium system carries a manufacturer warranty on the implant component, that warranty runs on its own separate terms.
