The SmileJet Vietnam 12-month treatment guarantee covers free re-treatment for any treatment-related issue arising within 12 months of your final restoration date, at any SmileJet partner clinic across the five Vietnamese cities. This is the document that defines the scope, the claims process, and the limits.
What is covered
Implant failure
If a dental implant placed at a SmileJet partner clinic fails to integrate or fails after integration within the 12-month window, the guarantee covers free re-placement at any partner clinic in any of the five Vietnamese cities. Failure means: clinical mobility, peri-implantitis with bone loss exceeding clinical thresholds, or fracture of the implant body. Bone grafting that may be required as part of the re-placement is also covered.
Crown, bridge, or veneer debonding
If a crown, bridge, or veneer placed at a SmileJet partner clinic comes loose from its tooth or implant abutment within 12 months, the guarantee covers free re-cementation. If re-cementation is not clinically successful (the underlying tooth or abutment requires repair), the guarantee covers fabrication and placement of a replacement crown, bridge, or veneer at any partner clinic.
Restoration fracture
If a crown, bridge, veneer, or All-on-4 prosthesis cracks or fractures under normal use within 12 months, the guarantee covers free fabrication and placement of a replacement at any partner clinic.
Endodontic complications
If a root canal therapy performed at a SmileJet partner clinic develops a treatment-related complication within 12 months — re-infection, post-treatment pain requiring intervention, or root canal retreatment need — the guarantee covers free re-treatment at any partner clinic.
Infection at the surgical site
Surgical-site infections within 30 days of placement are managed without charge as part of the original treatment package (these are not strictly guarantee claims). Infections beyond 30 days but within 12 months that are clinically attributable to the original treatment are covered under the guarantee.
What is not covered
The claims process
- 1 Contact SmileJet via the channel you originally used to book your treatment (WhatsApp, email, or phone). Describe the issue. Photos of the affected restoration help.
- 2 We acknowledge the claim within 48 hours and request supporting information: post-treatment X-rays from your home dentist if you have had any, a description of when the issue arose, and any home dental work done since the original treatment.
- 3 We coordinate a clinical review with the original treating partner clinic. If the issue is clinically attributable to the original treatment and falls within the covered scope, the claim is approved.
- 4 We coordinate scheduling for re-treatment at any SmileJet partner clinic across the five Vietnamese cities. You are not required to return to the original clinic; you may choose any partner location.
- 5 Re-treatment is performed at no charge. You are responsible for travel, accommodation, and meals during the re-treatment trip; the clinical work itself is fully covered.
- 6 Post-re-treatment, the standard 12-month guarantee continues from the original treatment date. Re-treatment does not extend the guarantee window beyond the original 12 months.
Country-wide transferability
The transferability is what makes this a country-wide guarantee rather than a clinic-specific one. The mechanics:
- Original clinic vs network clinic. You can return to the original treating clinic, but you are not required to. Any SmileJet partner clinic in any of the five Vietnamese cities can absorb the re-treatment.
- Clinical record transfer. Your treatment record — X-rays, treatment plan, materials used, surgical notes — transfers across the network through a shared patient record. The treating clinic for re-treatment has full visibility of the original work.
- City selection on re-treatment. Many patients prefer to combine re-treatment with a different recovery experience the second time. A Hoi An patient might choose Da Nang for the re-treatment trip; a Phu Quoc patient might choose Ho Chi Minh City. The choice is yours within the SmileJet partner network.
- Materials. Re-treatment uses the same brand and tier of materials as the original treatment unless clinical reasons require a change. If a different brand is clinically indicated and is more expensive, the cost difference is the patient\'s responsibility; if it is the same or less, no additional charge.
Beyond the 12-month window
After the 12-month guarantee window expires, treatment-related issues are no longer covered at no charge. We continue to coordinate any care you need at SmileJet partner clinics, and our partner network honours the SmileJet referral relationship for ongoing patients — typically priced at standard partner rates, occasionally with goodwill adjustments at clinic discretion for issues that arise close to the 12-month cutoff.
For implant cases specifically, the modern dental implant has a clinical lifespan of 20+ years; complications beyond 12 months are uncommon, and most issues that do arise relate to the crown or bridge on top of the implant rather than the implant itself. Crown and bridge replacement after their natural lifespan (typically 10-15 years) is a normal part of dental care, not a guarantee claim.
