Pricing methodology
Where the numbers come from,
and how far to trust them.
Every price on this site is a published fee, not an estimate we generated. That makes them useful for comparison and useless as a quote. This page explains the difference.
Coverage, stated first
Most listings have no price.
We hold 1,461 published treatment prices, and they come from 164 clinics. That is out of 6,074 listed clinics, so roughly 5,910 listings carry no price from us at all.
We would rather say that than imply a fee schedule sits behind every listing. Where a clinic page shows no price, it is because the clinic has not published one and we have not invented one. Where a city or treatment page quotes a range, that range is built only from the clinics that did publish, which means it is a sample and not a market average.
The method
How a figure gets on this site.
- 01
It is published by the clinic. Prices come from a clinic's own fee schedule, its website, or what it supplies to us directly. We do not model, extrapolate or average our way to a number that no clinic quoted.
- 02
One value per clinic, per treatment. A range on a city page is the lowest and highest of the clinics we hold prices for there. When only one clinic has published, we print the single figure instead of a range that pretends to be a comparison.
- 03
Currency is converted, not restated. Figures are held in the currency the clinic published and converted for display. Conversion moves daily; the underlying fee does not.
- 04
Savings comparisons name their basis. Where a page says you save a percentage, it says what it is comparing against. We clamp those figures to what the underlying prices support rather than quoting the widest gap we can find.
The limits
What these prices are not.
- 01
Not a quote. Only a clinic's written quote, after it has seen your mouth or your scans, applies to you. Every figure here is indicative.
- 02
Not continuously re-checked. We do not hold a verification date against each price, so we cannot tell you when a given figure was last confirmed. Treat older-looking listings with more caution and ask the clinic.
- 03
Not the whole cost of treatment. A published implant fee usually covers the implant. Abutments, crowns, bone grafting, sinus lifts, imaging and follow-up may all be separate. What is included varies by clinic and it is the first thing worth asking.
- 04
Not the cost of the trip. Flights, accommodation, time off work and any return visit are yours to add. A second trip is normal for implants.
- 05
Not a quality signal. A lower price is not a worse clinic and a higher one is not a better dentist.

Found a price that is wrong?
Send it to us with the clinic and the page. If a clinic quotes you something different from what we show, the clinic is right and we will update our record. Clinics can also claim their listing and correct their own fees directly.
