A 14-day Phnom Penh + Angkor Wat dental tourism itinerary

By SmileJet Editorial Team · Published May 2026

The full Cambodia trip: 8 days in Phnom Penh for treatment and recovery, then 4 days at Siem Reap for Angkor Wat. Suitable for veneers, smile makeover, single-trip implant Trip 2, or Trip 2 of an All-on-4 case.

Days 1 to 8: Phnom Penh (treatment + recovery)

Day 1: Arrive PNH, coordinator pickup, hotel check-in BKK1 or Daun Penh, light dinner.

Day 2: 9am clinic consultation, photos, panoramic X-ray, 3D CBCT scan, treatment plan signed in writing. Afternoon: National Museum (90 min, air-conditioned).

Day 3: Main treatment day. 9am to noon: implant placement, multi-veneer preparation, or All-on-4 trip 2 final fitting depending on case. Afternoon: hotel rest, soft food.

Day 4: Recovery day. Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda morning visit (90 min self-guided). Afternoon: lunch and rest. 5pm Mekong sunset cruise.

Day 5: Lab fabrication day for veneers, or rest day for implants. Russian Market shopping morning, afternoon hotel pool.

Day 6: Veneer try-in or crown fitting. Bite check and adjustment. Afternoon free.

Day 7: Final bonding and occlusal balancing. Treatment is now clinically complete. Afternoon: Wat Phnom (the city\'s namesake hill temple) or Independence Monument area.

Day 8: Morning post-treatment review at clinic. Afternoon: domestic flight PNH to REP (45 min). Check into Siem Reap hotel.

Days 9 to 13: Siem Reap and Angkor Wat

Day 9: Soft introduction. Old Market browsing morning, lunch on Pub Street, late afternoon spa treatment if you want it. Early dinner. Pre-booked Khmer-speaking guide briefs you for tomorrow\'s sunrise.

Day 10: The signature day. 4:30am pickup, sunrise at Angkor Wat, then Bayon temple at South Gate of Angkor Thom, then Ta Prohm. Return to hotel by lunch for rest. Afternoon free; many patients sleep through it.

Day 11: Banteay Srei (the pink-stone "Citadel of Women", 30 minutes outside town) in the morning. Light afternoon at the hotel pool or a relaxed spa session.

Day 12: Tonle Sap floating villages (full day with the same guide). Stilted houses, fishing boats, lunch on a floating restaurant. The cultural counterpart to the temple days.

Day 13: Final day. Morning Old Market for last souvenirs. Afternoon: Pub Street for a last Khmer dinner.

Day 14: Departure

Morning flight home from REP. International connections from Siem Reap are easier than from Phnom Penh because REP connects directly to Bangkok, Singapore, and Seoul. Cross-check this with your coordinator when planning — your return flight may originate from REP rather than PNH, saving the domestic backtrack.

For Australian patients: SilkAir REP-SIN-SYD is the most common routing, around 11 hours total including a Singapore connection. UK patients: Singapore Airlines REP-SIN-LHR runs around 16 hours. US patients: Asiana or Korean Air REP-ICN-LAX runs around 22 hours.

Indicative cost (Australian, 8 veneers + Angkor extension)

  • Treatment: 8 e.max veneers, US$2,050 = A$3,137
  • International flights, return Sydney–PNH–REP–Sydney: A$1,800 (off-peak)
  • Phnom Penh hotel, 8 nights mid-range: US$480 = A$734
  • Domestic flight PNH–REP: US$110 = A$168
  • Siem Reap hotel, 5 nights mid-range: US$300 = A$459
  • Khmer guide for 3 Siem Reap days: US$180 = A$275
  • Angkor Wat 3-day pass: US$62 = A$95
  • Visa: US$36 = A$55
