Important โ€” about this score

Please read before drawing conclusions about this clinic.

This score is an automated, opinion-based assessment generated by SmileJet's proprietary AI algorithm from publicly available information โ€” including aggregated third-party reviews, clinic-published materials, and other open-source signals. It is not a statement of verified fact, a professional medical opinion, or an endorsement, and individual experiences may differ.

How the algorithm penalises scores

Our methodology applies score reductions where signals are detected that, in the algorithm's assessment, may indicate: unverifiable or potentially overstated claims about clinical experience or credentials; review patterns the model flags as inconsistent with organic user behaviour; or limited independent corroboration of marketing statements.

These adjustments reflect algorithmic signal-weighting only and do not constitute an allegation of any specific wrongdoing by this clinic or its staff.

Corporate health programs are available for businesses with staff based in Vietnam, offering group medical and dental coverage, annual health screenings, and occupational health services. Raffles Medical Group's insurance desk is experienced in working with international health insurance plans, assisting patients with direct billing arrangements to reduce out-of-pocket expenses at the time of treatment.

We wanted to take only the tests, for my boyfriend they cost 16,000,000 (without a doctor's visit), at medlatec 1,000,000 the same tests. My set of tests cost them 125 dollars, at medlatec, 12 dollars. We spent about an hour here to find out the price of the tests. At medlatec it all took 10 minutes.

Nurse LAN ANH took the baby's blood with an unpleasant attitude and failed several times even though my attitude was very normal. ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก There was an older nurse who took the blood very gently and at least she made me feel secure because she loved children. โ€ฆ

The clinic works very professionally and quickly. The customer service staff are very dedicated and the doctors take care of the patients very carefully. The clinic space is clean, airy and private. The clinic is affiliated with many international insurances and accepts direct guarantees. I will introduce more family and friends to come here for examination.

I have been slow traveling the globe and I was in need of a check-up. I wanted comprehensive blood work and other tests. I came here for an elite physical exam which, overall was a wonderful experience. The exam included complete blood panel, chest X-Ray, ECG, basic vision test (no eye pressure test - which would be nice to have), Ultra-sound of major organs and Thyroid. I did end up selecting an additional exam, the MSCT scan of my heart, which was separate fee and another facility. Raffles provided transportation and an English-speaking nurse to accompany me for the entire trip and procedure, which was amazing, very helpful and reassuring. If you are in Hanoi and in need of a check-up, Raffles is worth considering. I would certainly use them again in the future. The Good The staff - everyone from reception, to the nurses, the tech's, and the Dr's were all so friendly, kind and professional Value โ€“ the cost is reasonable for number of tests received Conveniently located in the Tay Ho area The Facility is clean and organized well for the services they provide I speak very little Vietnamese, Raffles had many English-speaking members, which was great, the language barrier was not an issue for me The Dr I met with to review my results was very thorough and we spent 30+ minutes talking about my health and lifestyle. this was a pleasant surprise, Drโ€™s in my home country spend very little time actually talking and discussing health & lifestyle issues with patients, in my experience I was emailed all the results including the X-Ray, ultrasounds and MSCT scan for my records Areas for improvement The initial arrival was a little confusing for me. The sequence and timing of the exam was not clear or intuitive. It would be nice to have a brief conversation about what to expect throughout the exam process. This is a small to medium item that would go a long way to help people be more comfortable and at ease. IMO The results do take several days before they are available for review. In other places, I have had the blood work results available within 24 hours. These might be negotiable, so check with them if you have time constraints.

I called to make a reservation and asked about what kind of doctors and specialists were available for a consultation. The receptionist didnโ€™t seem to understand and was very rude and aggressive on the phone.

I decided to have my baby tested for tuberculosis here. Although the cost was higher than other clinics, I still chose this one because I believed the higher price meant better service. However, on October 6th, my family had an unpleasant experience with the service and attitude of a female doctor. While relatives were allowed inside with the baby during family examinations and blood draws, they refused to let my family in once we went downstairs. My mother saw the baby crying loudly and suddenly stopped. Worried, she rushed in and saw the baby crying silently and its face turning purple. The male doctor held the baby's legs tightly, held his hand firmly with one hand, and then applied pressure to his chest, frightening the baby. My family had previously said that the baby was very obedient and would allow the blood draw immediately as long as they held his hand and comforted him. However, the round-faced, plump doctor, perhaps annoyed with my family, hurriedly changed the baby's diaper, fearing that the nurses would have to wait. Since then, the doctor's attitude has been unpleasant. She has refused to let my mother in at all. I yelled at my mother. But when she saw the baby, she came over to comfort him, and he stopped crying and had his blood drawn. She said that if she had let him in from the beginning, he wouldn't have cried and been so scared. Since we left that room, my baby has always been scared. Just yesterday, when my baby went for a vaccination and saw the nurse, he cried and was scared. He seemed possessed by a ghost. He usually doesn't cry when he gets a vaccination or has his blood drawn. My family was furious.

I chose this clinic for my child's tuberculosis examination. Although it was more expensive than other clinics, I still chose it because I thought that the higher price meant better service. But no, on October 6th, my family had a very unpleasant experience with the service and behavior of a female doctor. When we were advised that one family member could accompany the child during the blood test, they wouldn't let us in when we went downstairs. My mother saw my child crying loudly, then suddenly stopped crying, and she rushed in to check. She found my child crying silently, turning purple. The male doctor held my child's legs tightly, gripped my child's hand, and pressed on my child's chest, causing the child to be terrified. Before that, my family had discussed that my child was very well-behaved and would readily allow the blood test if my grandmother was nearby to hold and comfort her. But the chubby, round-faced doctor, perhaps annoyed with my family, quickly changed the baby's diaper, afraid of keeping the nurses waiting. From that moment on, the doctor became irritable and absolutely refused to let my mother in. She even yelled at my mother. But when my mother saw my child like that, she comforted her, and my child stopped crying and had her blood drawn. She said that if she had let her in from the beginning, my child wouldn't have cried and been so scared. Since leaving that room, my child has been constantly frightened. Just yesterday, when she went for vaccinations and saw the nurses, she cried and was terrified. It's like she's been traumatized. Normally, she never cries during vaccinations or blood draws. This has angered my family.

Frequently Asked Questions

What dental treatments does Raffles Medical Vietnam offer? โ–พ
Raffles Medical Vietnam provides a broad range of dental services including routine check-ups, teeth cleaning, fillings, crowns, bridges, tooth extractions, and cosmetic dentistry such as whitening and veneers. As an international multi-specialty clinic in Hanoi, it combines dental care with general healthcare under one roof, making it a convenient choice for expatriates and international patients who need coordinated medical services during their visit.
How much does dental treatment cost in Hanoi compared to Australia? โ–พ
Dental treatment in Hanoi typically costs 60-75% less than in Australia. A dental implant that runs AUD 4,000-6,000 at home can often be completed for AUD 1,200-2,000 in Vietnam. Crowns and veneers follow a similar pattern, with Australian prices of AUD 1,500-2,500 per tooth compared to AUD 400-800 in Hanoi. Even factoring in flights and accommodation, most patients find the trip delivers significant overall savings.
Is Raffles Medical Vietnam accredited or internationally recognized? โ–พ
Raffles Medical Vietnam is part of the Raffles Medical Group, a Singapore-headquartered healthcare network with a long-standing reputation for international standards of care. The group operates clinics across Asia with strong governance and quality protocols. While individual country-level dental accreditation varies, patients benefit from the group-wide clinical frameworks and the assurance that comes with a well-established regional brand serving expatriates and international travelers.
Do the staff and dentists speak English? โ–พ
Yes. Being an international clinic, English is a primary working language at Raffles Medical Vietnam. The clinical team is accustomed to treating expatriates and foreign visitors, so consultations, treatment plans, and aftercare instructions are all communicated clearly in English. Staff can also assist in several other languages, making coordination straightforward for patients traveling from English-speaking countries.
How long should I plan to stay in Hanoi for dental work? โ–พ
The length of stay depends on the complexity of your treatment. A straightforward procedure such as a cleaning, filling, or single crown can usually be completed in one to two days. More involved work, including multiple crowns or a full smile makeover, typically requires five to seven days. Dental implants need a longer gap between placement and final restoration, so some patients split the process across two separate trips.
Which implant brands does the clinic use? โ–พ
Raffles Medical Vietnam uses internationally recognized implant systems from established global manufacturers. Patients can expect titanium implants that meet ISO standards and are widely used in clinics across Singapore, Australia, and Europe. The specific brand selected for each patient is usually discussed during the consultation, taking into account bone density, jaw anatomy, and budget. Ask the treating dentist to confirm the exact system before proceeding.
Can I complete my dental treatment in a single trip to Hanoi? โ–พ
For many common procedures, yes. Fillings, extractions, teeth whitening, and porcelain veneers can be completed within a single visit of a few days. However, dental implants involve a healing phase of several months between placement and crown fitting, which usually requires two separate trips. During your initial consultation, the dentist will outline a realistic treatment timeline so you can plan your travel accordingly.
What technology and equipment does the clinic have? โ–พ
As part of an international healthcare group, Raffles Medical Vietnam maintains modern clinical equipment. The facility is equipped for digital X-rays, which reduce radiation exposure compared to traditional film, along with standard tools for restorative and cosmetic dental procedures. The clinic follows the Raffles Medical Group quality standards, which include regular equipment maintenance and infection-control protocols aligned with international guidelines.
What aftercare support is available once I return home? โ–พ
Raffles Medical Vietnam can provide written treatment summaries and X-rays in a format your dentist at home can use for follow-up care. Because the clinic is part of an international network, communicating via email or phone for post-treatment questions is straightforward. Your local dentist should still be involved for any ongoing monitoring, but having detailed records from your Hanoi visit makes that handover much simpler.
How do I book an appointment at Raffles Medical Vietnam? โ–พ
The easiest way to get started is through your SmileJet profile page for Raffles Medical Vietnam, where you can submit a booking enquiry and receive a treatment coordinator response. Alternatively, you can request a free quote through SmileJet by sharing your dental X-rays or photos. It is a good idea to send any recent X-rays or a brief description of the treatment you need so the clinic can prepare a cost estimate before you travel.
