SmileJet Hanoi coordination support
Treatment coordination support – Hanoi
By SmileJet Editorial Team · Updated May 2026
SmileJet coordination support on every treatment, plus the separate manufacturer warranty that applies to implants on its own terms. This is coordination support, not a warranty or insurance product: no promised remedy, no fixed coverage window, no reimbursement. This page covers what coordination does by treatment type, how to raise an issue, and its limits.
Where coordination helps, by treatment
Dental implants
If an implant placed at your Hanoi partner clinic shows signs of trouble, SmileJet helps you raise it and coordinate a clinical review. Separately, the implant manufacturer warranty on the fixture (Straumann lifetime, Nobel Biocare lifetime, Osstem 10 years, Dentium 10 years) remains in force on its own terms.
Crowns and bridges
If a crown or bridge debonds, fractures under normal use, or shows a material issue at the SmileJet-listed Hanoi clinic, SmileJet coordinates a review. Whether it is re-fitted or remade, and on what terms, is the clinic's clinical and commercial decision.
Porcelain veneers (E.max)
If a veneer debonds, fractures under normal use, or shows a material defect, SmileJet helps organise a review with the treating clinic. Any remedy and its cost are determined by the clinic.
All-on-4 / All-on-6
If the full prosthetic system (implants, abutments, or zirconia bridge) develops an issue, SmileJet helps coordinate an assessment. The implant manufacturer warranty on the fixtures applies separately on its own terms.
Composite bonding
Composite is naturally less durable than porcelain. If it debonds under normal use, SmileJet can help coordinate a review, though touch-ups are quick and inexpensive as part of normal dental maintenance.
Root canal + crown
Contact SmileJet if endodontic treatment or the subsequent crown develops a clinical issue – we will help coordinate a review with the treating clinic. Crown issues are handled separately.
How to raise an issue, step by step
Contact
Email SmileJet with photos and a description of the issue. We acknowledge promptly and gather supporting information.
Assessment
SmileJet reviews against your treatment record and passes it to the treating partner clinic to help arrange a clinical review.
Follow-up care
If the clinic determines follow-up care is appropriate, SmileJet helps with scheduling. Any treatment is performed and priced by the treating clinic; travel and accommodation are the patient's responsibility.
Clinical decisions rest with the clinic
Whether follow-up care is appropriate, what it involves, and how it is priced are decisions made by the treating partner clinic, not by SmileJet. SmileJet coordinates communication throughout.
What coordination support does not do
Not a warranty or insurance product
Coordination support sets no fixed coverage window, promises no specific remedy, and does not entitle you to no-charge re-treatment or reimbursement of treatment, travel, or accommodation. It is a coordination service only.
Trauma and accident
Damage from sporting accidents, falls, or trauma is not a treatment-related issue. Standard travel insurance and dental accident coverage typically apply.
Wear from bruxism without protection
If you grind your teeth and decline a recommended night guard, accelerated wear on veneers or crowns is not a treatment-related issue. The guard is offered with every cosmetic case.
Failure to attend follow-up
Periodic dental check-ups (twice yearly) and prompt treatment of new caries or periodontal issues are part of normal ongoing care. Follow-up can be at any qualified dentist – not necessarily back in Hanoi.
Smoking and uncontrolled diabetes
Implant outcomes are affected in smokers and uncontrolled diabetics – both factors disclosed and discussed pre-treatment. The separate implant manufacturer warranty still applies on its own terms.
Travel and accommodation costs
SmileJet does not reimburse treatment, and does not reimburse return flights or accommodation for any return trip. Any follow-up treatment is priced by the treating clinic.
How coordination works in practice
Coordination support is a service, not a warranty or a promise of any specific result. Here is what the process looks like from the patient's perspective – from the moment you leave Hanoi through to a clinical review if one is ever needed.
At departure
Your treatment summary is issued at your final appointment in Hanoi. It is in English, personalised to you, and lists the specific work performed, the materials used, and the SmileJet contact for coordination. You leave Hanoi with this document in your records – digital and paper copies.
If a problem arises
Email SmileJet with your name, treatment date, clinic, and a description of the issue – photos help. SmileJet acknowledges promptly and passes the information to your treating partner clinic to help arrange a clinical review of whether and how the issue relates to the original treatment.
Follow-up
SmileJet helps arrange a clinical review with the Hanoi partner clinic and, where the clinic determines follow-up care is appropriate, helps with scheduling. If return to Hanoi is not possible, SmileJet can help arrange a local assessment and pass clinical context between your home-country dentist and the clinic. Any decision on care, and its cost, rests with the treating partner clinic.
Coordination support FAQ – Hanoi
How quickly does SmileJet respond when I raise an issue?
We acknowledge promptly, typically within one business day, and help pass the information to the Hanoi clinic to arrange a clinical review. For clinical concerns involving pain or active complications, we prioritise the response.
Who decides whether an implant issue is treatment-related?
The treating clinician at the Hanoi partner clinic assesses the issue: fracture of the implant fixture, abutment failure, or crown detachment, and how bone resorption after osseointegration is interpreted. SmileJet coordinates the review; it does not make clinical decisions.
Can I use a local dentist for the assessment instead of returning to Hanoi?
Yes, for assessment. A local dentist's written assessment documenting the issue helps the review. For any follow-up care, the Hanoi clinic is typically the most straightforward option. Whether care is appropriate, what it involves, and how it is priced are decisions made by the treating clinic, not by SmileJet.
Does coordination support apply to both Osstem and Straumann implants?
Yes. SmileJet coordinates with our partner clinics for treatment-related issues regardless of the implant system used. Separately, the implant manufacturer warranties (Straumann lifetime, Osstem 10 years) remain in force on their own terms. SmileJet does not issue or extend any warranty.
What if my home dentist disagrees with the Hanoi clinic assessment?
If there is a clinical disagreement between your home dentist's view and the Hanoi clinic's view, SmileJet helps pass clinical context between them so the treating clinic can respond. SmileJet acts as the intermediary; clinical decisions rest with the qualified clinicians involved.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if I need follow-up care after Hanoi treatment?
Contact SmileJet with photos and a description. We acknowledge promptly and pass the information to the Hanoi partner clinic to help arrange a clinical review. Any follow-up care is performed and priced by the treating clinic; travel and accommodation are the patient's responsibility.
Does coordination support cover dental work done at my home dentist after returning?
Coordination support is help liaising with the treating partner clinic about treatment-related issues, not cover for work done elsewhere. Contact SmileJet before authorising any corrective work at home, as home-dentist modifications may limit what the treating clinic can assess against its original work.
How do I raise a treatment issue for Hanoi treatment?
Email SmileJet with your name, treatment date, clinic, a description of the issue, and photos where possible. We acknowledge promptly. For urgent cases involving pain or swelling, use the Messenger contact in your pre-trip briefing for a priority response.
