He always gave me a thorough explanation before treatment, and was very considerate during treatment. He was a great doctor. Thanks to Dr. Sugimori, I was relieved of the pain from my wisdom teeth, and my teeth became whiter with the whitening. I'm glad I came here. The receptionists and assistants were also very kind. Thank you very much.
DO NOT GO HERE. THEY ARE THIEVES. Lied and cheated me with $90 extra fees. I asked the receptionist how much a cleaning would cost and she said between $15 -$20 depending on the condition of the teeth. So I said fine. r my cleaning, and they gave me a bill for more than 2.7 million VND ($120). I was irate. They charged me for scaling and polishing ($60!). I never ordered that. I only asked for a cleaning and she said the cleaning would be max $20. Also, there was a $30, again I was not made aware of this cost. She said only $20 for a cleaning. The dentist needed to take some X-rays for my back teeth so I said OK. They never said it would cost extra money, but I understand that X-rays cost money so whatever, I won't complain. I never asked for a scaling or polishing, the dentist just gave it to me while I was in the chair and I was unaware that it was anything other than the standard cleaning that I ordered. Do not trust these people.

Dear Mr. Kevin Meng, Thanks for your review. We treat your reference that the clinic staff are “thieves” very seriously. We also do note your email note “I am writing poor reviews of your company on every one of your GMB profiles and sharing it on Facebook” as one of great concern. Because these allegations are important to review, I hoped to discuss everything in person at 10:45 am today. Your first scheduled appointment was 19th November at 10am. After 15 minutes waiting, we called to see whether you would show up, but you admit you forgot your appointment. Today on 2nd December you did not show up for a scheduled meeting and complimentary dental consultation with me. Since it’s been two weeks without posting a reply to your review, it’s now time to explain to readers about your post. Firstly, we are sorry that our communication procedures about the fees were not clear enough for you. When you called us on 17th Nov at 14:59pm, Ms. Thanh our front office team member received your question “how much is a cleaning?” and she replied “50 to 90USD dollars for a full hour of dental cleaning with a dentist.” We suspect you might have interpreted hearing 15USD and not 50USD. This would be our error since Ms. Thanh’s first language is not English. Regarding you did not “request a Scaling and Polishing” and upset paying for this service, we would like to explain. I believe many Americans, as well as any American free lance writers, would be aware that this term “scaling and polishing” is simply the formal name of a “dental cleaning.” If one had ever gone to the dentist in America, it appears you have, they you would likely be aware of this same meaning. If you haven’t encountered this English term, googling this term would instantly reveal that this is the same of dental cleaning. Regardless, you remain unhappy with paying for the visit. Perhaps do not understand why you had an exam done (which you agreed). I can understand this feeling of being overbilled and would like to share my professional view. For the 20usd exam, I can share with you that it was suggested in your best interest. During your cleaning, the dentist noticed a serious issue and noted it to you. To explore the issue, the dentist requested to have an exam, x-ray and diagnose the situation. A small exam fee can save you a lot of pain, time and headache if dealt with early. In case it wasn’t clear, I wanted to see you today to explain how serious this issue is and left unattended will cost you into the thousands (if treated in the USA). So the intention was not to steal from you but to indicate what could potentially save you from a major dental problem. With regards to your email and expectations that cleanings should be very cheap, I like to explain why the fees are 60usd. I know you can have a cleaning done for 5usd in Hanoi but it isn’t feasible for a International clinic like ours. The cleaning you had performed was by an experienced dentist who graduated from elite Japanese dental school and has a high degree of knowledge and skill in dentistry. Generally, an hour cleaning in the United States is 120 to 300usd/ hour. But you are correct in Vietnam, some clinics charge as low as 5usd per hour. This fee would provide the staff to share about 2.5usd in incentive per hour. The differences in fees include many reasons including who the person who performs the procedure, the cleanliness and professional atmosphere and the consumables used in infection control. Your cleaning was 60usd. Some would say it is expensive and some would say great value to have healthy disease free teeth in a professional environment. We understand people can make their own value proposition for their teeth and money. I hope this helps explain our side of your accusation of theft. The Westcoast Dental Clinic did a great job in fixing my teeth. I had gone through various procedure - and even root canal. My experience was very good, especially Dr. Tomoaki Sugimori was very considerate with all my concerns! (even teeth whitening!). Nonetheless, the nurses and staff were also very helpful and considerate :D THUMBS UP! the service they render here is superb!

Thank you for the other day. It was my first time here, but the Japanese dentist was very kind and provided a very thorough consultation. I was surprised at how thorough the treatment was. The clinic was also very clean and all rooms were private, which was great.
I had an extremely complicated wisdom tooth removal that my dentist in Bali and South Africa had reservations about performing. After reading reviews and speaking to some expats in Hanoi, I can HIGHLY recommend seeing Adrian. I was highly impressed with his care pre and post operation and the skill with which he performed the complicated extraction! 5 stars
All dental treatments are in private rooms, so I was able to receive treatment with peace of mind. I would like to go again.

I am generally happy to have fun with my Vietnamese in most situations but when it comes to health, it is so handy to a very clear outline of the problem and the solutions. Don't be like me and wait until you're going crazy from pain, and when you do book an appointment go with someone who who will do the best job for you, I.E., Dr. Wienmann at West Coast dental.
Well, if you're looking for a dentist here, Westcoast is the right place. It's a small world... so I ended up with Arne, who lives a village away from me in Germany. On top of being cheaper than at home, everything was handled easily in German. So, don't be shy... ;-) Not everything is always better at home! :-))))
I've been seeing Dr Adrian for a year or so now and he came highly recommended to me for good reasons. Dr Adrian is highly skilled and has a wonderfully calming manner. You will feel completely at ease in his care. Dr Adrian will take the time to carefully explain all of your dental plan options and will show genuine care for you before, during and after treatment.

Dr. Andrew Tsang is a skillful dentist and the surgery which he performed for my wisdom tooth was very successful as I felt little pain afterwards. His extensive experience is definitely worth noting and I would like to thank him for helping me.
