I highly recommend coming here for any of your dental needs. I have driven down from Orange County a few times for Crown work and wisdom teeth removal. You get top notch care for half the price. Whether you have insurance or not, this place will be more affordable and worth the drive if you are not down the street. I will be coming here for future dental work. Shoutout Dr. Baker!
I was fortunate enough to be referred to this clinic several years. I have had an implant done (by a periodontist) as well as root canals and crown replacements at a fraction of the cost. me decide to go to her clinic. Compared to three other estimates I got from other Tijuana clinics, her office provided the most detail and their communication with me was excellent. Their office coordinater, Craig, picked me up at San Diego Airport as expected, and drove me across the border without any problems. Dr. Baker and staff started my dental work immediately on my arrival, without any surprises. I felt very comfortable with everything right away and was reassured by Dr. Baker's and the staff's level of professional confidence and experience. A driver brought me to my hotel, the Tijuana Grand, on Agua Caliente about 10 minutes away from the office. The neighborhoods immediately around my hotel and the clinic were very walkable and safe with great restaurants and street food. I especially loved El Rodeo, which was near my hotel. It has been there since 1972, looks like a set from Bonanza, and surprised me with the best food of the whole trip! Transportation to and from every appointment was provided for me, mostly by the same driver named Ramon. He was very friendly and helpful! After my stay of 6 days in Tijuana, Craig took me back across the border in plenty of time to catch my flight home. I had two molar root canals with build-ups and temporary crowns, five restorative fillings, a cleaning and polishing, and two permanent crowns to replace the temporary ones, put in on my last day in TJ. I never experienced any pain, didn't even need to take a Tylenol, which seemed like a miracle in itself. All of that work cost me just over $3,000, which was about $9,000 less than the estimate from my dentist in Washington state. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Baker and everyone there. Traveling to Tijuana for my dental work and choosing this clinic ended up being one of the best decisions I've ever made! Everything was flawless and better then expected. Had to cross border on foot with my passport and she had a driver that I met that took me to the office. He also picked me up after prescription was dropped off to me. Got in and out with a wisdom teeth removal. Nervous, she eased my nerves with how easy she made it. Got there at 10 was out by 11. quick and constant communication with her staff (Veronica is amazing) to set up the appt., give precise directions to meet the driver and especially talking through all the options about my teeth. Even before or during a procedure I can ask her questions and she is very thorough and reassuring. I am happy with the work completed so far by Dr. Baker and I have more work to be done but I have gotten so many compliments on my new smile I have brought my husband and my sister as referrals. complete, both upper and lower Implant supportive denture procedure done and I I am very satisfied with the outcome! they even provided a taxi service to and from my hotel, which made my trip there all the more comfortable. Highly recommended! I have been going to this clinic for at least 5 years. I have had old work done by another dentist fixed here, I got other necessary work done. I also get regular cleanings here. Everything is always top notch, super clean, and pleasant! Good work for at least 1/2 of the cost in the US. Will keep coming here for as long as I can. Dr Baker is excellent!
This is the worst dentist I've ever been to. I had veneers, crowns & 2 fillings done by her. One of the filling fell off after only 1 month, the crowns & veneers start falling one by one after 2-3 weeks after she glue them PERMANENTLY. this?!!!! She knows her work sucks, and the materials that she uses are very poor quality. And if something goes wrong, she blaims the patient. Every time a veneer or crown would fell off, she would tell me to go back and have it re-glued, and that would happen almost every 2 weeks. After 2 months of driving back and forth to Tijuana (I live in Los Angeles), I got physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted and decided not to go see her anymore and see a different doctor here in U.S, to basically repair all the damage she caused. I ended up with low quality materials and very poor work done. After this bad experience, I don’t think I would ever go back to Mexico to have any dental work done. I’m very very disappointed and sad. I’ve wasted more than $6000 and almost 3 months for nothing.

Response from the owner Edited 4 years agoOlga, You have misunderstood that the veneers were temporarily placed, as we were waiting for the permanent veneers to arrive. During the last visit to our office you expressed that you were very happy with the work, thanked us, and went on your way. These reviews are the first communications we have received from you since. The course of events are not as you describe, but I can understand that you may have misunderstood the procedure. You actually had the work completely redone twice. 99.9% of our patients love the veneers they receive, but some will find an issue and will be unhappy, no matter how perfect the smile. Unfortunately we cannot help these patients by simply changing their smile, they will need to find happiness within, and be happy with themselves. I wish the best for you, and I hope that you find that for yourself.
Dr. Baker did veneers for me on 12 teeth, six on top and six on the bottom so all the teeth you can see when I talk or smile are perfect! I had three teeth bottom front that were taller than the others and also leaning into one another so there were large gaps you could see when I talked. Gone! with snow white teeth which would look fake and the color of white they are now is perfect. Dr. Baker will now be my regular doctor for cleaning and routine dentistry. Getting to the office is a breeze. Park on the USA side of the border, park near the trolley (I live near the trolley so I don't even need the car), walk across and go through customs and Manny, their driver, will pick you up and take you straight to the office. This procedure would have been way too expensive with a US dentist and if you still are worried, Dr. Baker went to school at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She and her staff speak English and they have a US phone line. Get the teeth you have always wanted at a price you can afford!

The experience was amazing. I got 16 porcelain w/ a cleaning & the whole process was complete in 3 days. D.R Baker & her assistant took their time with my work with efficiency. I will definetly be going back!

Dr. Shirley Baker is an excellent dentist. She put in veneers for me and they are beautiful. Cross the border and her driver will pick you up and take you to her office. It's quiet and serene. When you are finished the driver will take you back to the border again. I saved so much money over American dentists I'll never go to anyone other than Dr. Baker.

Dr. Baker is amazing! She saved my teeth while saving me $25,500. The prosthodontist in Las Vegas wanted to pull all my teeth and replace them with "All-on-4's"; these are basically permanent dentures that they call implants. y smile look better. For less than 1/2 the price, I was able to save my teeth and make them better and stronger! I could have chosen the All-on 4 for 1/2 the cost of the LV doctor, but my choice was to follow Dr. Baker's advice and improve my own teeth - an option the LV doctor wouldn't give me. I was a little scared going to Tijuana by myself. It was so simple - Dr. Baker sent her driver to pick me up at the border, just 30 minutes south of San Diego. 2 hours later, I left with the hard part completed. I come back to get the crowns in 90 days. My experience was nearly pain-free. It's hard to put your trust in a stranger when it comes to surgery, but it was easy to trust Dr. Baker - it was obvious she was on my side, and wanted to do the right thing by protecting what I already had and making it better. Her staff was great. The entire experience was nearly stress free. I was dreading the pain after the numbness wore off, but just as the doctor said, it never came! I look forward to my next visit. And when can you ever say that about a dental appointment?!

I had been hesitant to have my dental work done in Tijuana until I found Dr. Baker's office. My wife and I have been going there for three years now and have always been very satisfied with her dental work, the office location and the safety we felt.
