In my experience at facial treatment clinics, we sat down and shared with the doctor what the problem was, and how it worked. "Hey, this doctor, before treating a patient, needs to know the condition of their teeth, what the procedure is, etc.," I said. Then, after I lay down, the doctor immediately started scaling. NO EXPLANATION OF HOW TO DO IT, EVEN THOUGH HE KNEW IT WAS MY FIRST TIME SCALED!!! For first-time patients, there's a sense of fear and confusion about what to do. THE DOCTOR SHOULD HOLD THEM FIRST. There's no explanation before or during the procedure, just "if you swallow, don't sit down immediately, raise your hand." THE DOCTOR SHOULD have explained it! It's going to hurt, and what should I do? For me, the first time, I was confused about how wide to open my mouth, and my jaw even hurt like I was being forced. I raised my hand and said, "IT HURTS." THE DOCTOR DIDN'T CARE AND JUST CONTINUED. HEY, WE'RE PAYING FOR THIS!!! Be more friendly, the doctor was in a hurry, and he was also rough, and it hurt. For first-timers, be CAREFUL, take it slow, don't traumatize the person. FINALLY, I stood up and was about to sit down at the doctor's table, but was immediately told to leave. WAS THERE NO EXPLANATION OF WHAT WAS AFTER THE SCALS? What was the condition of my teeth? Just "Don't eat for 2 hours after the scaling. It's normal to feel sore for a few days." Even then, they explained that I was standing, not sitting down, as if they were rushing me out. As a nurse, I know standard operating procedures (SOP). Post-tongue surgery patients are told to drink ice to prevent bleeding. I took the initiative to ask if I could drink cold water. *still standing* The doctor then replied, "Yes, in fact, it's recommended." SO WHY DIDN'T YOU GIVE AN EXPLANATION? IF I WERE A LAYMAN, I WOULD HAVE BEEN BLEEDING AT HOME. As a doctor, EXPLAIN THE DETAILS, especially if you're a first-time scaler!!! He was in a hurry, then rude. It hurt a few times, my voice was a reflex, and the doctor kept going, and he didn't stop. OH MY GOD, THE POINT IS I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO A BPJS CLINIC AGAIN
