about everything. There is nothing worse than teeth which look fake. She is able to make your smile look like it should look with your own tooth shape, but of course much better! Lol. She also speaks perfect English so that helps with communicating. Really nice office in a super safe and quiet area too. If I go back for lower teeth will likely stay in Playacar by the pier, but staying at the Grand Hyatt in Playa Del Carmen was easy, very safe and secure for a female solo traveler, and only a 10 min cab ride each way. The clinic is very clean and advanced, better than most Canadian clinics that we’ve seen. The staff are very friendly, prices are competitive and in-line with Mexican market standards. The service is outstanding and accommodating; on one trip occasion, Dr. Alejandra Arrechedera stayed long after-hours to complete our denture procedure due to our tight travel times. I have recommended my friends to her from Canada and they have all had great experiences. It is worth the travel to Playa Del Carmen from Cancun. All of her staff are highly educated and professionally certified; majority speaks fluent English among other languages. We highly recommend Koosi Dental to anyone looking for a professional, dedicated, and genuine dental clinic that truly puts a smile on your face.

and Riviera Maya, and had heard good things about the dental tourism industry, so I did some research that led me to Koosi. I communicated with a lovely liason named Greta who patiently listened to my list of dental needs and concerns, and whom I sent my films and estimates to. I was very assured, so she sent me paperwork and setup all my appointments, very easy . The office was lovely and friendly, the dentists spoke perfect english, and the receptionists spoke ok, definitely well enough for us to communicate. I redid my cat scans around the corner from Koosi for $75 so they could be sure it was current. The dentists here wanted to pull my teeth, bone graft, and immediately do 7 implants, including a bridge in the front, 4 teeth on 3 implant bridge. Dr Mario said bad idea. He insisted on extractions and bone grafting, waiting 3 months for the bone to heal, then coming back twice- once for the implants, and months later for the crowns. He didn't believe my bones would be strong enough to hold immediate implants, and would eventually fail. Additionally, he didn't like the idea of the implants and bridge in the front. He said I only really needed 4 implants in total, the other teeth (which were laminates but falling apart) looked bad, but really only needed root canals! I couldn't believe it. The lovely Dr. Gruber took care of the root canals, no pain! So Koosi Dental could have done all that work, charged me all that money, and called it a day. Instead, they changed the plans knowing they were making way less that day, and rolling the dice that I'd come back to Mexico for the 4 implants instead of 7. I was very impressed and grateful for Dr. Mario's advice and decision to treat me conservatively (and I want to repeat we were able to have this complicated conversation in perfect English). I followed his advice, and returned for the implants. I was out of vacation time, so I got the crowns here in New Jersey, and the dentist admired his work, (even though he rolled his eyes when I said I went to Mexico). I would never hesitate to go back, I got GREAT care on complicated work, and it cost wayyy less. Basically my husband and I had two 10 day vacations with the $$$ I saved by doing it there. It's almost 3 years since they completed my work and it's perfect. GREAT EXPERIENCE GREAT OFFICE!!! P.S. They also had a cat house outside, bc they take care of a couple local strays, which warmed my heart!!!! (Posting my AFTER pic first!)

They even took some photos for free — photos that Koosi wanted to charge extra for through additional studies. It definitely feels elitist, and if they sense you don’t have money, they basically ignore you.

However, Dr. Alejandra’s knowledge and expertise, coupled with her genuine passion and attention to detail, continued to instill confidence in me that I had made the right decision. What amazed me the most was how pain-free the entire process was—something I never expected given the extent of the work needed. Every step of the way, Alejandra and her team, were gentle, thorough, and genuinely cared about my comfort and well-being. It’s been four months since the work was completed, and I waited this long to write my review to ensure everything held up as promised. I am thrilled to say the results have been nothing short of life-changing. I went from never smiling to smiling constantly, and I feel like a completely new person. A massive thank you to the entire teamat Koosi, and a very special thank you to the legend herself, Alejandra! I’ve already recommended her to many friends, all of whom have had equally great experiences. If you’re looking for a dentist who can transform your life with her expertise and kindness, Dr. Alejandra is the one!

necessary and recommended Jorge Gruber as an "excellent specialist" and insisted it had to be done as fast as possible. When we arrived at the appointment on time, Jorge Gruber came out of the office saying he had to go buy things he needed for the procedure. At this point we should have just left, but we waited about 25 minutes for him to come back, me thinking that it was very odd, and that I just hope what he bought to use came sterilized. Root canal was done without any assistant or magnification in about 35-40 minutes total. In the middle of the procedure Jorge Gruber yelled to the reception that they bring him a cup of chlorine, not sure from where they got it from. Tooth kept hurting after that root canal treatment for many months, sometimes with pulsating pain, giving a headache, and of course we had to do retreatment at the office of a really highly skilled specialist in Cancun, who works with 2 assistants and uses magnification, onsite imaging, and it took 2 visits and 4 hours total. Many extra x-rays, scans and a course of strong antibiotics, which we normally avoid, had to be done as a result of the first root canal treatment performed by Jorge Gruber. We paid 5000 pesos for Jorge Gruber's root canal treatment and another 7000 pesos for retreatment, 5,700 pesos to Mario Bertran for "abono" and preparation for a crown, a few thousand pesos more for scans, antibiotics, consultations with specialists. We really regret trusting Mario Bertran, Jorge Gruber and using Koosi Dental Studio, which resulted in many months of pain and suffering. Still not sure if the tooth can be saved. Before they touched the tooth it did not hurt at all and wasn't bothering in any way. Mario Bertran also did "abono" leaving some bump on the side, later saying it was a "mistake", when it showed on an x-ray and grinded the tooth below margin, according to another specialist. Tooth sensitivity got much worse after the second "abono", 2 weeks after root canal. Hope this review helps other people.1 star that i put goes to receptionist who does answer the phones and whatsapp messages. 7 months later after paying Koosi Dental Studio and incurring many more additional expenses we are still dealing with the issue that resulted from trusting Mario Bertran, Jorge Gruber and using Koosi Dental Studio.
