asked what we were doing. Isn't the doctor supposed to know better than the patient? When I was here back in 2018, it was hands down the best dental clinic I'd ever visited in my life. Same dentist back then too, apparently. Measured the degree of my gum recession, told me we'd have to keep an eye on it, and even taught me a better way to brush my teeth which I've practiced diligently for the past 8 years. Back then, it felt like they were genuinely concerned with the well-being of my teeth. This time she couldn't get me outta there fast enough. Couldn't even get her to take a 2nd look at my gums. See you again in 8 years, I guess.
He damaged my tooth; the dentist's skills were poor. I had to go to a larger hospital to have the tooth extracted.

University. Dr Tien is very capable and is also very gentle. I am continually amazed at the quality and attention to detail that I receive. Westcoast has the latest equipment, products and procedures. They also keep up with the latest dental advances. Dr Tien does an excellent clean and check. In December 2024 I returned to Vietnam for my latest visit to get a second opinion which has differed greatly from my Australian dentist. I am very happy with Dr Andrew and Dr Tien’s latest recommendations and work that has been performed and has saved me many thousands of dollars from what it would have cost in Australia. Dr Andrew explained why I didn’t need to have that work done. The guarantee is second to none, as I have had several procedures done where the fee was waived and I thought no fault on their part. Dr Andrew, the Clinical Director, is highly skilled and has offered honest advice. Westcoast has also completed 2 implants and bridge on my son’s top front teeth several years ago. He was very happy with the result. I will continue to visit Westcoast in future years for my dental work.

2010 when I first visited, the clinic had x-ray equipment that even the specialist dentists did not have in Townsville, Queensland, Australia at that time. This year, 2024, I needed an implant with Dr Andrew, the Clinical Director. I had faith in his professional ability. Never having had an implant before, I was a little nervous. However, Dr Andrew was brilliant with putting me at ease and explaining throughout the procedure what was happening and the sensations I would feel etc. Dr Andrew also upgraded my implant from the Straumann to the BLX Sttaumann for no extra cost.As I would not be returning to Vietnam for 12 months, he made me night guards (for both upper and lower teeth) free of charge. Can you imagine any dentist in Townsville doing this for free? I was given an ice pack and antibiotics to take. Also, I was given Ibuprofen and codeine in case I needed it for any pain. Andrew explained the procedure and answered any questions I had. All the staff at Westcoast, including the front office, especially Vy, are professional with great English and easy to communicate with. Westcoast always gives you a suggested plan with a price for your dental work unlike my new dentist (my usual dentist has retired) where you receive a price for a crown and then there's x-rays and consults on top of that price so you end up paying way more than was originally quoted. At Westcoast I have never felt that I have been over serviced, as the dentist goes through your x-rays beside your chair and explains in detail what is going on in your mouth. You are encouraged to ask questions. Dr Tien informs you what she thinks is essential and what is preventative work that should take place. There is never any pressure to get work done. Westcoast is happy to send my x-rays and work that has been completed by them to my Australian dentist. I highly recommend Westcoast International Dental Clinic to everyone. If you wish to see their qualifications then go to their website and LinkedIn profiles. They also guarantee their work. This clinic gets 10 out of 10 from me. It is now November 2025 and my husband and I are back again to Westcoast for some more dental work. We are seeing Dr Nhu An who is simply brilliant (just like our Dr Tien who is on maternity leave) this year and she is very gentle with perfect English. I'm certainly glad that a Canberra lady who we met in 2009 recommended these dentists to us.

Worth every penny. The staff at Westcoast are phenomenal! Had 23 crowns, 1 bridge and 1 root canal done here almost 8 years ago. Haven’t had a single problem with the work since and every dentist i have visited for regular cleanings etc. in America and Europe are always impressed with the work that they did.
