I had 2 implants prepared at Smile Dental Services and within a year after the installation, one of them keeps on constantly getting loose and needs to be tightened every couple of months. Lesson learned; cheap will become more expensive in the long run so if you’re reading this I highly recommend to go somewhere else, avoid these cheap cowboy dentists and dental and medical tourism, pay more and get proper quality products as that will cost you less money in the long haul.

Dear Mr. Rantala, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you have experienced difficulties with the crowns. We would like to clarify the circumstances regarding your second visit to our clinic. As per your request, you came for a check-up assessment with a planned stay in Sofia of only two days. At that stage, the healing period for osseointegration was still at the minimum, which is why we did not recommend shortening the time before proceeding with the second-stage prosthetic treatment. Following the examination, it was confirmed that the implants could be prosthetically loaded. We then explained that completing the prosthetic work in our clinic according to our standard protocol requires approximately five working days for fabrication, fitting, adjustments, and final placement of the crowns. You were offered the option to extend your stay in Sofia or to schedule a separate visit for the full second-stage treatment. However, you clearly declined both options and chose to leave Sofia the following day. As a result, we only had time to take impressions for the prosthetic fabrication. The full prosthetic process, including fitting, tightening, adjustments, and final placement, was therefore not completed in our clinic. At your request, the prosthetic components were later sent to Portugal to be placed by another dental clinic. We explained that this is not our standard treatment process and that we cannot take responsibility for the fitting, tightening, adjustments, or placement performed by another dentist. We are sorry that the final result has not met your expectations. However, the prosthetic treatment was not completed in our clinic under our standard protocol, as you declined to allow the necessary treatment time either by extending your stay or by returning for a separate visit. I went to SMILE DENTAL SERVICES yesterday after being charged three times more for 1 implant at another place. Unlike the other place, I received all the information with them, I trusted them and a while ago I had an implant placed - now in the bone, and in a few months the upper part. I needed to do making it stress free.... I was absolutely terrified on day 1 at the dental practice but everyone was lovely and put me at ease, even had me laughing. Day 2 I had the implants in and I can honestly say I had no pain just discomfort, which was to be expected. They saw me everyday for the rest of the week to make sure I was in no pain and check and dbl check the bite and if I felt comfortable with them. I would highly recommend sofia dental practice. The clinic was very welcoming and professional. They coped extremely well with a very nervous customer and couldn’t do enough for me.
