The consultant was always present during the treatment and informed me about what the surgeon was doing. The local anesthetic is better than what we have in Austria. I felt absolutely no pain. The medication I needed after having three implants placed was prescribed by a doctor just around the corner. I paid about €25 for a total of eight medications. I had checkups almost daily. The consultant was also available when I wasn't at the clinic and provided me with advice and support. My second visit, six months later, went smoothly again. Dental impressions are taken exclusively in 3D multiple times. I also had three X-rays. Even the head of the clinic, Dr. Ömer, examined me and gave the surgeon instructions before the teeth were prepared. Finally, the head of the clinic personally examined me again with my new crowns and made any necessary adjustments. I felt extremely well cared for throughout my entire stay. They have many consultants who speak different languages ​​to provide the best possible care for their patients from various countries. Amira kept in touch even though it was past 10 pm to make sure we arrived safely since our flight was late. The hotel arranged for us was very clean and comfortable and near the Clinic. The clinic itself was highly hygienic, the service was warm and welcoming. When we arrived to the clinic we got a personal consultant Magnus came to greet us and he was very helpful, kind, professional and always kept us up to date with schedules and was always present at the clinic when we were there. The treatment itself took place with a very highly skilled and extremely caring doctor, Merve. She was Professionalism and strong work ethic. The doctor's work was excellent. We would gladly come back again even just to meet this amazing staff. Dr. Merve, Amira and Magnus and the rest of the team were truly outstanding, professional, caring, and excellent at what they do. I was still very doubtful about the situation. When the dentist was about to cut my teeth, I asked her to stop before she cut my teeth. My interpreter started asking me what was wrong and I told her that I didn't feel completely comfortable with it. He then told me that the only thing I should ask myself is whether I want a beautiful smile. They have a 10-year warranty, so there is no reason to worry (This later turned out not to be the case at all – there is every reason to worry, which I also felt). With those words and the lack of counterarguments, I feel a little pressured to undergo this operation and I have all my functional strong teeth cut down to small tooth fragments. My mouth is bleeding heavily and I am given a mouth mask with the equipment to take some of the blood. They tell me that they cannot take an impression of my mouth because I am bleeding too much. I am then sent home. I cannot eat anything because of the pain and because I only have small tooth fragments in my mouth. The next day they take an impression of my teeth and I am given some temporary plastic teeth. They fall off for a good word and I am sent home. On the 3rd day I then have root canal treatment. The dentist, who is a very young woman, probably between 25 and her assistants, who look like friends of the same age, put on some Turkish comedy show that they laugh at while they perform my treatment. I would like to ask them to turn it off and concentrate on my treatment instead, but I don't really feel like I can, as I am heavily anesthetized and have a lot of equipment in my mouth. The 4th day is a rest day and I just lay down with my many pains and wish I had never started this treatment in the first place. The 5th day I try on the crowns. They don't fit particularly well and are not well designed. I complain about it and they say they will send them back to the laboratory and have it fixed. The 6th day I have the crowns cemented on and they say goodbye. I have a lot of pain and was told that as soon as I got the crowns on, my teeth would no longer be sensitive and I would be able to eat normally. When I then tell them that I have pain every time I eat, they tell me that it is normal and that they will take action. I have additional pain that is not only there when I eat. I am also told that this is normal. I contact a dentist who lives at home who tells me that there is a lot that has been done wrong and needs to be redone. I contact my contact person from the clinic in Istanbul and send him a panoramic picture from the Danish clinic. A few days later he tells me that their dentist says that everything looks completely normal despite the fact that I have pain and even though the Danish dentist has pointed out several places in the picture where mistakes have been made. The crowns do not cover the teeth or are too wide and do not sit close to the gums, the root canals are either too short or too long, a tooth has been drilled all the way down instead of being pulled out and cement has not been removed from the teeth. I am truly sad that I have spent so much money and time having my functional good teeth destroyed and am now left with a poor result and pain even 4 months later. If you are considering getting crowns on all your teeth, first talk to a dentist in your home country about the possible risks.
