I visited March 2025 on a Saturday for mercury filling replacements. Dr. Laura attended me, I was able to communicate my concerns and she listened without feeling rushed. I had 2 filling done and 1 other that was a potential root canal. The specialist was not there, so I had to schedule an appointment for another day. I did also receive a basic cleaning that was just polish and floss. I live in Southern Cali, a 2 hour drive. I used the medical transportation to the office & back across to the U.S. The drive back on a Saturday at the border crossing took about 2 hrs. No passport, just driver's license & birth certificate. Cross back with no problem. I got a second opinion with a U.S dentist for the 1 tooth that could be a potential root canal (about 3 weeks later) I realized that one of the teeth I got filled with Baja Dental (Dr. Laura) was not filled all the way. About 5-10% was not filled with composite. That tooth was missing its filling for 2 years prior and to find out that it was left unfilled is upsetting especially when it was visible & discussed. Fortunately, the other filling was okay and the potential root canal tooth turned out to not need a root canal just a filling replacement. Overall, my first experience in TJ, the medical transportation, 2 filling replacements (1 done right & the other needing to be redone); I would consider to be fair in my 3 star rating. However, there is no excuse for my tooth being left unfilled. If there are other booked clients, I would recommend that they have another dental assistant to help. After my first filling, the other dentist needed the one assistant's help which left me with just the dentist & no assistant. Would I come back? Maybe with another dentist, but unlikely. Would I refer Baja Dental? I would say only if you have explored every other option & if you do decide to, be aware & cautious.

I had an incredible experience at My Baja Dental! In the U.S., I was quoted over $3,000 for a root canal and crown, and although many people recommended going to Tijuana, I was a bit nervous since I had never been there before. While searching online, I found My Baja Dental and filled out a form on their website. They reached out to me almost immediately, and they were able to schedule my appointment just two days later. Since it was my first time in Tijuana, I decided to use their transportation service, which offers pickups from San Diego Airport or the border. The fees were very reasonable, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The care I received from Dr. Henry and his team was outstanding. They explained every detail thoroughly, so I felt informed and comfortable throughout the procedure. The staff at My Baja Dental are not only friendly but also very knowledgeable. The office itself is modern and offers a beautiful view of the city. What impressed me most was hearing from other patients. They shared that they had been seeing Dr. Henry for over 15 years and traveled from all over the country to receive care from him. Dr. Henry and his team have earned a lifelong patient in me and my partner —I’ll definitely return for any future dental needs!

If you are looking for quality work by honest people, this is the place. I’m so grateful to have found Baja dentistry! I needed quite a bit of work done and my dentist in the US (San Diego area) quoted me 7k for all the work that needed to be done. A family friend had recommended me to Baja dental before so I decided to look into it. It was the best decision I’ve made so far for my dental health. There was no waiting for appointments, they worked with my schedule and even helped arrange transportation for me and my partner to cross the border. The quality of work they do is amazing. Way better than anything I’ve ever had done in the US and the cost was so much cheaper than the quote I got in the US. In the US, my dentist told me I needed a bunch of work done. I found out when I got to Baja Dental that those teeth were still good. That was worth the trip in itself. Trustworthy honest people, fast service, convenience and much cheaper than anywhere else. Their office is clean and you can tell they’re very experienced and knowledgeable people. All around it was worth the trip!

I am extremely happy with the treatments, and the time they took to explain my dental treatment options. I had a fixed bridge done and paid about a third of what I would in the states. They did a great job. I highly recommend My Baja Dental.

I have been going down to Tijuana for dental work at My Baja Dental for over 10 years. I can personally recommend there services in dentistry and implants, since now I've had both done. The cost is about a 1/3 of what it will cost you in the states, just look at his prices. The person care and help getting around with your stay, is priceless. Take the chance, what do have to loss but your time and money. I have always had dental insurance, but I still couldn't afford to have my teeth work on in the states...

Response from the owner a year agoHello Donald, like always: it is a pleasure to see you at the office. Thank you for your kind words and for placing your oral health in our hands. Hope to see you soon.

I visited Dr. Villegas back in Summer 2024 for a crown on a tooth that I got a root canal on in San Diego. The staff was professional and friendly, the clinic was clean, and the entire process was super smooth. My crown required 2 visits since they needed to create the permanent crown in lab and I was able to get it 5 days later. 16 months later, the crown is still doing great. For my first trip to the clinic I opted for the transportation from the US side to the clinic. You carpool with the other patients who are doing the same, it is very safe, and the clinic staff kept me in touch with any updates. I opted to walk back to the US since I did not want to wait for the other patients to finish their procedures, and the clinic is very close to the border. The doctors all have great English, and were able to explain all of my medical conditions and post-care easily. I am planning on going back to Dr. Hernandez's clinic for more crowns that I need, and have recommended My Baja Dental to all of my friends in San Diego that need more costly treatments. I really appreciate that their website has prices upfront, so I know exactly how much everything will cost.

My experience with Drs. Hernandez & Villegas at My Baja Dental has been phenomenal!! First the communication to organize visits with Monica is clear & concise; she does a fabulous job! The office is clean & modern with state of the art equipment. I needed 5 crowns & a bridge. I wasn't getting it done in San Diego b/c I was fed up with the prices I had been paying. Not only are the prices excellent but the quality of all the work is BEAUTIFUL & I am picky!! Both Drs. were gentle and fully explained each step; I was made to feel very comfortable! I got a ride from San Ysidro to the office for $55 round trip and the drivers, Jose & Danny were friendly and ON TIME, medical fast lane back to San Diego meant NO WAIT at the border. I could go on & on but this review would be too long. They deserve more than 5 stars!!! I'm so happy to have found them!!!

They’re very nice but be careful! I had a crown and they charged a lot of money for what they said it was a zirconia crown. It broke 4 months after they placed it and turned out it was zirconia AND porcelain. Porcelain breaks easier and it’s not ideal for molar teeth. Endodoncy was great and well done but I’m very disappointed that they lied about the crown materials.
