Thank you to Dr. Kimberly for the cleaning, I loved it! Highly recommended.
Never thought this would actually happen. I got new teeth!! The staff at the Tijuana office are fantastic. From Cindy at the desk to Dr Yvette and Dr David I felt cared for through the entire process. I had all of my remaining upper teeth extracted. Given a temporary denture while my implant posts healed and 5 1/2 months later I have my new smile. I’ve been driving down from Riverside County…

y California and crossing the border at San Ysidro. Super easy to get a taxi to the office or they will send their driver to pick you up. If you are debating doing it, I recommend going for it! It isn’t quick or painless but it is oh so worth it in the end!!!!
Forgive me in advance if I go too long, but I can’t thank Marietta Dental enough for the whole process of my All-on-4 implants!! For me I felt I was in urgent need of this procedure and from my first appointment they agreed with me. On that same day, they took me to go get CT scans (Marcelo their driver is awesome), took impressions, and did a teeth whitening. About a week later Dr David and his…

s staff removed all my teeth and put the screws in. There is a fusing period for the screws and jawbone to heal, and since I’m somewhat local I was able to have multiple CT scans to make sure everything was healing properly. On to the fun part, after about 4 1/2 months everything was looking good so I decided to go ahead and finish the procedure. This is where Dr Sarai, Dr Karen, and Dr Kimberly were all at their best. They made me feel super comfortable and their attention to detail is unmatched. In my opinion I believe I was a more difficult case because of how my natural teeth were laid out. Dr Sarai wasn’t satisfied with my wax molding a couple of times and made sure everything looked aesthetically pleasing. Thank you!! I also want to especially thank Dr Karen!! I feel like she was there from the beginning, and through every part of my procedure. From the teeth cleaning, to the surgery, she adjusted my temporary dentures, she was there for most of my final permanent implant procedure, and also explained care/maintenance for my implants. I really felt embarrassed when I first walked in because of my smile, and she always assured me that there was nothing to be embarrassed about. So thank you so much!! Thank you Marietta Dental for helping me gain my confidence!!!
I recently visited Marietta Dental Clinic in Tijuana and wanted to share my experience in detail, especially since reading reviews helped me a lot before I made my own decision. First Impressions and Crossing the Border: One big issue right off the bat was communication once I crossed the border. The clinic had arranged to pick me up, which was great, but as soon as I crossed into Mexico, my phone…

ne completely lost reception. I thought my plan would cover Mexico, but it didn’t, and that left me stranded and unable to contact them. They couldn’t reach me either, so they left, and I was stuck for about 20 minutes in a really stressful situation without a taxi or phone service. Luckily, they did come back for me, but it set a stressful tone. My tip: make sure you have a solid international phone plan or another way to stay in touch across the border. Treatment Plan and Decisions. In the US, I’d been told by a couple of dentists that I’d need a mix of about 7 crowns and veneers. But when I got to the clinic, Dr. Yvette examined me and said veneers wouldn’t work for my bite and that I’d need all crowns—all across the roof of my mouth- 12 in total. That was a big shift and a lot more work than expected, and I felt pretty overwhelmed having to decide on the spot. In hindsight, I recommend giving yourself a moment to really think it through. This was a lot of work of work and a lot of pain in such a short amount of time (2 days, plus I drove 4 hours home after they got placed on the second day) Pain Management and Whitening. Another thing I wish I’d known was how intense the Philips whitening pain would be. I had it done on my bottom teeth to match the new crowns, and that night in the hotel was almost unbearable. Even with 800 mg of Tylenol, I couldn’t sleep. My heart was racing, I was shaking, and I hadn’t eaten anything all day, so it was just a scary experience in a foreign country alone. My advice: be prepared for the whitening sensitivity and maybe ask in advance about pain management options. Crown Color and Final Fit. When they put the crowns on the next day, they were initially way too white. I looked a bit like Ross from that “Friends” episode! Thankfully, they let me wait and adjusted the color to something more natural, which made a huge difference. They didn’t let me change the material, which was a bit disappointing, but overall the natural shade looked much better. I do wish I could have had a wax-up preview of the teeth beforehand. They told me it would take an extra two days, and I didn’t have the time. Because of that, I ended up with a slight slant to the left. It’s not super noticeable to others, but I can see it, and it’s definitely something a wax-up might have helped catch. We also didn’t have time to properly adjust my bite so my teeth are now bulky at the back and my bite is off, eating food hurts. I would recommend anyone going for serious work to spend an extra night after to let your teeth settle and check the bite, I wish I would have done that. My night guard was off too and I now can’t go back and get that changed or my bite adjusted since the drive would take too long. On the positive side, Dr Yvette was super kind and patient, and overall the place was nice. I am still adjusting to the new teeth but they do look professional and certainly better than before, and I saved a significant amount of money by doing them in Mexico vs Los Angeles. Final Thoughts and Rating. Overall, I’d give the clinic four stars. The main reasons for deducting a star are the lack of a wax-up, the unexpected whitening pain, and the slant to the left. On the plus side, Dr. Yvette was very friendly, patient, and kind. The clinic felt clean and professional, and they did pick me up and drop me back at the hotel, which was a nice touch. The hotel itself was comfortable. In the end, I’m happy with the overall look of the crowns; they do look natural and real. If I were to do it again, I’d plan for an extra day to adjust my bite and ensure I was 100% comfortable before heading home though.
Dr. Yvette was wonderful. She worked on my dental implant. Her expertise at fitting the crown was very impressive. Dr. Kimberly fitted a night time mouth guard and it was quick and easy. Fits great! Marrietta Dental Care does wonderful work!
DR. Valerie was great! She addressed all my concerns and the prices were reasonable. 10/10
