The worst place I could have taken my dog. He's 9 years old, and we took him in for what seemed to be an emergency case of constipation last night because he was in pain. They took x-rays, and now my dog has injuries to his right front paw and left back paw to the point where he can barely walk due to improper handling during the x-ray. A terrible experience, and we do not recommend them.
My dog was killed at this clinic due to negligence and malpractice.

another vet, Mr. Patitas, they charged me 50,000 colones just for my Chihuahua's blood tests and 35,000 colones for the neutering, plus another 58,000 colones for the inhalation procedure! That's a total of 90,000 colones just to neuter him! Just look at how much money I saved!

Dr. Andrea provided terrible service. After I admitted my dog for a procedure that was supposed to cost 362,000, they charged me 550,000. Dr. Andrea told us we could take him to another vet to have the stitches removed. The billing breakdown was on an Excel spreadsheet showing charges for the same procedure twice, and all she said was, "Pay us to bring the dog back."

It's a lifesaver that this place exists in Alajuela. They treated my dog in critical condition on a Thursday at midnight and quickly diagnosed a problem that had been going on for two weeks despite unsuccessful appointments at El Establo. Here's my story. I took my Chihuahua to the emergency vet for hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. The doctors were on duty. Honestly, the treatment wasn't ideal, but it wasn't bad either. The doctor told us she wasn't seriously ill. They said they gave her fluids and medication, but I don't know how true that is. The next morning, they told me she was completely stable.
