My initial discussions with Daniel were for only a few implants and crowns, although I stated to him at the time if I was happy with the work and treatment received, I would be a repeat patient. After digital X-Rays and a thorough but painless examination I had the options and costs explained to me with no pressure to proceed and I agreed to go ahead and have my few remaining teeth removed and have implants fitted. The cost was somewhere between a third and a half of UK prices. Ten years later I'm still delighted with the result; when I run my tongue along the teeth they feel exactly like real teeth not like the horrid plasticky feel of dentures and I brush them with normal toothpaste twice daily. The whole team are courteous, helpful and professional, the premises are modern and spotless and the equipment is state-of-the-art. Below are the before, after treatment and 10 years later photographs; I'm 72 and the hair's all but gone but the teeth are as good as new. Financially, I've made some costly mistakes on the stock market but this investment was the best I've ever done. Regrets? only that I didn't do it sooner!

gave me no sense of patient care whatsoever. The team in Bratislava, led by Dr Kafka, were completely the opposite. From the moment you are met at the airport by Dano, they made me feel extremely welcome, didn't judge and when Dr Kafka did my initial consultation and explained what he would do, I almost burst into tears (of relief). He gave me an absolute level of confidence straight away and Katarina prepared a treatment plan for me. She also talked me through every step, answered all of my questions and has been my patient coordinator right through to the end. Three months later, I was back in the Bratislava clinic and Dr Kafka did the surgery to remove all of my remaining teeth, perform 2 sinus lifts, undertake gum recontouring and insert 12 implants (6 top and 6 bottom) - plus the fitting of my provisional set of crowns. This surgery is usually done by Dr Marek in Piestany, but due to scheduling, I had it done in Bratislava. Dr Kafka and his team made me feel comfortable at every step of the way and once the injections were done, I felt no pain whatsoever (I only felt sensations and pressure, but definitely no pain). Straight away, I had a set of crowns which were a vast improvement on what I had before and these lasted me until my next two visits in Piestany with Dr Marek, 4 months later. The two visits consisted of creating impressions for the final crowns / arches and then the final fitting and adjustment of the permanent crowns. Once again, Dr Marek and his team gave me utter confidence and made me feel very welcome. Words simply are not enough to describe how happy I was after the final fitting and I cannot thank Dr Kafka, Dr Marek, Katarina, Michaela, Dano and the entire team for everything they have done. To be able to smile again, talk with confidence and eat with ease is TRULY life changing. It is a fraction of the cost of the same procedure in the UK and this kind of work is what they do, day in and day out. If you are even considering this kind of treatment, I would urge you to have a consultation. You will be in extremely safe hands.

friend who had undergone treatment there, I made my way from my home in Fuerteventura, via Madrid to Slovakia. I arrived the morning of 17th June, picked up by a friendly driver....Dano...and taken straight to the clinic in Piestany. After scans, x-rays and discussions decided to go ahead with full dental implants, sinus lift and bone grafts. I went back to my lovely apartment nearby the clinic, walking distance in fact, and freshened up and before I could develop any nerves or excuses was on my way back to the clinic to have the upper teeth sorted. I chose to have IV sedation which means that I really do not remember much about the experience. I just came to and it was all done! Went back to my apartment, then went for a walk and got some soups from the nearby supermarket. Slept and had no real pain at all, little bleeding or swelling that night. Next day back to the clinic to have the lower teeth sorted. Same again, do not remember much at all, in fact not one unpleasant memory from the whole experience which is so different to all of my other dental experiences. After the second treatment I thought I would be swollen and sore, but again minimal discomfort and swelling. If you did not know me you would not know I had had anything done. I was out early the next morning for a walk in the beautiful Spa island. I took several photos and some of my self. So you can see how things are just the next morning after both upper and lower jaws done. I had one last appointment that day to make sure everything was in place and all was, and I returned home the next day with instructions how to care for the temporary teeth, which I am delighted with, having lived for years with painful, brown teeth with many gaps including gaps in the front teeth! I have had no pain or complications since getting home. I am following the instructions of good dental hygiene and a soft diet. Not a penance as not been able to eat anything but a soft diet for years...and at least now I have no pain at all and I can smile and not frighten people off! Already this has changed my life and of course when I have let the implants heal and the bone grow around them, I will be returning to have impressions and my final lovely permanent crowns put in. And then can begin a normal diet for the first time in decades. I cannot thank the clinic and all the staff for their professional, painless and friendly treatment from the first email to having treatment. I am actually looking forward to going back and having the next and final stage of my dental treatment done. Now that is something I can honestly say I have never felt about any dental treatment in my whole life. My confidence is already 100% improved and I am now looking forward to the future, not dreading it. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again!

ut time I left one. I did a bit of research before opting to use this clinic. The service was excellent all the way through. Back then I was picked up/dropped off at the airport, given a phone, wonderful accommodation and excellent service from all the staff throughout my two trips Piestany. I had 6 ceramic crowns by Dr Marek that look great and have never caused any problem at all. No one would even know I had work done unless I told them. Which I do as I'm proud of the wonderful work he has done. So finally to thanks Dr Marek and the wonderful team at Piestany Dental Clinic. Only 12 years late.
