Regarding one tooth that is hurting and I was worried had decay, I communicated clearly that it was bothering me and I was very worried about it. He looked at the images and decided there was nothing there and « maybe the issue got resolved ». I thought that was a very odd thing to say without even looking at my mouth. I insisted that I am not imagining the pain and doctors in Paris had already suggested something. He was then willing to get up, almost reluctantly put some gloves on and looked quickly inside my mouth, poking at the tooth that was hurting. I told him yes, it is painful. He then ordered a scan that cost me a 100euros. When it got there, he chuckled at the image, his back turned to me, and dismissively repeated that as he said before, there was nothing wrong with the tooth. I then asked about the implants I needed to replace two missing teeth, which he turned around again, to measure the bone for one implant and told me that yes, he can do the implant for that one. For context, the doctors I saw in Paris measured the bones before the appointment and told me that I was missing a very tiny bit they could fill in using a special procedure. Hence his answer was already setting off a bunch of alarms in my head. I asked about the second missing tooth and he shrugged it off, saying the bone was « weirdly shaped » and he doesn’t think it is needed to do an implant there. Here again, I had already been told that it would be a 2 step process, where we needed to move the upper molar that had filled the empty space before placing the implant with the special procedure. When I sat down with the assistant to look at the quote, I made sure to mention that his answers are so troubling that I didn’t want him to treat me, and I was hoping the next appointment was not going to be as disappointing. I believe my message went through because I met an incredible orthodontist who took the time to examine my teeth and was able to find what was causing me pain: my gum around the root canal was visibly inflamed and causing pain and bleeding. We discussed the treatments I needed for it and she very honestly communicated what she thought was best for me to do in Paris or things I should just not worry about, which I really appreciated. The assistant had to later admit that the first doctor « just missed the issue », which funny enough cost me 100euros. At the end, the only treatments I would have needed to do at Dentum are the implants, but I found the interactions I had with the doctor who is supposed to do them so troubling that I do not feel safe going forward with them. It pains me to write this review because of all the amazing people I met, but I found it important because it is very concerning to see a doctor completely dismiss a patient telling them about pain and discomfort they are experiencing, and not do the required checks needed for implant or communicate a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan.

Instead, they kept asking when I would continue my treatment with them. Within eight months, I had to take twelve boxes of antibiotics just for the dental infections. I must emphasize that I am otherwise a healthy woman, both before and after my appointments with them. Except for the dental infections that started. I would never go there again. There's a dentist there who gave me my first Botox injection. It lasted three months, but the second time she charged three times as much as the first time, and it was terrible. I had to have it corrected in Switzerland because it looked so awful. I wouldn't wish what happened to me on anyone, especially since it was incredibly painful.

Instead of extraction, she carefully explained that the tooth could be protected with a crown, which was made in just one day. This brought me enormous relief. I would also like to give special praise to her assistant Martina, always friendly, smiling, and patient. She answered all my questions and made the whole experience even more pleasant. You can really feel the teamwork and positive energy between them. If anyone has any doubts about this clinic, I truly recommend not to hesitate- just go and take care of your teeth. You will be in great hands♥️
