y picky. So I decided to go for a dental crown first to test it out and ended up having some other procedures as a Dental Implant I wasn´t able to afford back home. Once I arrived to their clinic and seeing the attention their team provided I was eased, I have a pending appointment with Dr. Vargas to finish up some of the work we did last summer and I am really looking forward to it.

to anyone, great prices and can´t stress enough how beautiful it is. Also wouldn´t hesitate to recommend America Dental to anyone who are in need of great service for an affordable price.

thorough, patient, and genuinely focused on comfort and results. I have never experienced such attentive client treatment at a dental office anywhere. An added bonus: the hotel and suites directly across the road are excellent, and the dental office can help arrange a discounted rate, which made the whole process extremely convenient. If you are considering dental work in Costa Rica, America Dental is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

surgery, which was such a thoughtful touch. This was hands down the best treatment I’ve ever received at any medical office and at a fraction of the cost. Highly recommend!

o have a compromised root-canal tooth (#7) removed and replaced with an implant. The implant failed shortly after placement. A local dentist told me it appeared the infection may not have been fully removed before the implant was placed. America Dental wasn’t sure why it failed and suggested possibilities like rejection or vitamin deficiencies (the latter definitely did not apply to me). There is no way to know for sure. They removed the implant and performed gum surgery to address the bone and gum loss, which they did not charge me for and I appreciated. The surgery site became infected, leaving a cavernous hole in my gum line. I understand infections can happen, but I was surprised when one dentist there blamed me despite me following the aftercare instructions closely. I shared that I felt this was inappropriate, and Dr. Vargas did apologize on her behalf. Because my wedding was coming up, I returned for a temporary bridge (which I paid for), since going without a front tooth wasn’t an option. The bridge has held up for the last year, but Dr. Vargas did caution that it likely won’t last long. My gum line has improved somewhat, though it isn’t normal, and because I have a gummy smile, the issue is noticeable. I still have small pieces of bone coming through (last surgery was a year and 4 months ago) so I hope the gum line will continue to fill out… However, when the bridge eventually falls out, I’ll need to decide how to address the gum line and whether to move forward with another implant or a different solution. I had also mentioned ongoing pain in a previously filled back molar. The pain didn’t resolve, and during my last visit the filling was redone, which thankfully did help. However, the dentist also shaved down the upper and lower molars on that side so they “wouldn’t touch.” I didn’t realize how much this could affect my bite, and I wish I had understood enough to decline. Since then, my bite no longer aligns naturally - especially at night - and I’ve developed significant grinding, TMJ issues, jaw tension, and radiating pain near my eye that I never had before. I cannot begin to explain how frustrating and painful this new issue is continuing to be. A local dentist questioned why this approach was taken knowing all the problems it would cause. I now need corrective work, such as onlays or another form of bite restoration, but this may be complicated by how deep the filling is; adding additional material could risk irritating the tooth again. I also do not want to lose more teeth... The decision to significantly reduce the height of my back molars on one side has put me in a difficult position, creating a problem that is expensive to address and likely difficult to resolve. This also does not account for my husband’s experience, which involved separate unprofessional issues. Dr. Vargas apologized for the situation and stated he would address it with the dentist involved. Overall, my treatment has led to ongoing problems - some unresolved and some entirely new - which have been painful, stressful, and costly to address. I’ve shared my concerns with the clinic, and they have offered to fix the issues under warranty. However, given the complications I’ve already experienced, I don’t feel comfortable returning. I wish my experience had aligned with the many positive reviews that led me to choose America Dental in the first place. Instead, I’m left dealing with multiple problems and the impact they’ve had on my daily comfort and dental health. I’m grateful for the removal of the root canal tooth, but unfortunately, beyond that my overall experience has been far from what I’d hoped for.

every question. I have never experienced this level of care and being heard by a doctor anywhere else. I’ve had crowns, wisdom tooth removal, root canal, fillings, and cleanings here and been a patient for a few years now and I could not trust them more or recommend them more. I fly from miami to go here and it is so worth it. The prices are very very good and fair for the level of service and care as well! So grateful to the entire team as someone with really bad dental anxiety I will never go anywhere else. They are very conservative in recommending you only work you genuinely need done. There is no up selling, their care for you is their number one priority, not the bill at the end. They actually care about you so much and want you to be healthy and are so ethical and wonderful

y were "holistic." - The extraction was extremely painful, he didn't use the proper anesthesia. One of the only times in my life I almost fainted because of it. They barely used any ozone and sent me on my way. Unfortunately I've been in the dentist chair a lot over my years and this was bar none the WORST experience I've ever had and it wasn't even close. Never had an issue like this was getting work done.
