c office and surgical rooms are super clean and comfortable, including Dr Vargas’ preferred classical music and soothing atmosphere. The doctors and their support staff are all wonderful and caring professionals and provided myself and my wife with advanced specialized dental care normally reserved for the wealthy. The office coordinator, Maricela is talented in her personal care and was very helpful to us prior to our arrival and during the entire week of our dental work. We searched extensively in the USA, hoping to find a reasonable holistic dentist, but was unable. Instead, we were very fortunate and blessed to have located the absolute best in Costa Rica at America Dental. Dr. Vargas and his entire team treated us like family and dealt with us in a very respectful and honest manner. Dr. Vargas is a man of integrity and humility, despite being a superbly qualified holistic dental physician and surgeon. Very noteworthy, to the extent that it may sound unbelievable, nonetheless, during our whole week of extensive dental care for myself and my wife, including many surgical removals, five root canal removals, fillings, many zirconia crowns, numerous bone grafting, and seven zirconia implants, plus plasma and ozone therapy; consider this very remarkable truth…. that never once during the full week of daily extensive and costly dental work, did the office ever ask us for any advance payment or allow us to make payment for all the dental work we received each day, not until after Dr. Vargas completed all of his work, was payment requested. That type of old-fashioned patient care and trust is simply unheard of in the USA. I am very thankful for Dr. Vargas and the care he provided to my wife. He and his team were a blessing to us, and we are grateful to be added to his family of patients. We look forward to our future visits and dental care from this unusually gifted and trustworthy holistic dental physician and surgeon. America Dental is very flexible and accommodating to their patients, including being considerate of your travel schedules. Don’t worry or stress over all of your appointment times, the office schedule is not rigid and patient care is priority. They have a way of making it all work out for you, including working very late each night as needed. Helpful notes, America Dental clinic is located in a very nice area, across the street from the well-established Costa Rica Country Club. It is very easy to get around by walking or the bus, or Uber usually very quick and less than $3 USA. Several restaurants are close by, even a new Krispy Kreme. Walmart is just a few minutes away if needed. Our favorite restaurant was Raw, just 50 yards from the clinic, an organic all-natural healthy venue – with really unique recipes and all-day breakfast. The U.S. Embassy is very close, walking distance, on the same main street, which was a comfort to know. The area is safe with security personnel visible at most retail areas and police easy to identify. We walked the streets at night to shop and eat, and never felt uncomfortable. The main hospital, the Marriott, Residence Inn and the mall are walking distance from the clinic, or a $3 Uber ride. Maricela had arranged for our pickup and shuttle to the hotel, which was very helpful. The Uber to the airport at the end of the trip from America Dental was only $11. Overall, absolutely outstanding dental care from an amazing holistic dental surgeon, in a state-of-the-art dental clinic, combined with a special touch of personal care and trust that is very rare to find in the USA. My highest regards and recommendations for Dr. Vargas and America Dental. 10 Stars!

do not have to pay a lot more money because they didn't answer the phone. Not sure what the point of an emergency number is if you won't answer it out of hours when emergencies can occur. I would give 5 stars but since they are not answering their emergency number I gave 4. I hope they can learn from this and can evaluate their emergency phone/on call procedure. I would expect this element of the care to be seamless because they give a very high service in the clinic. If they see this comment and can rectify the situation I will amend my review.

Dr. Jiménez's personalized guidance and counsel regarding the scope of recommended work, materials, and color specifications for my dental crowns were absolutely on point. I had expressed my desire for natural-looking teeth rather than the artificial "Hollywood-white" appearance, and she understood my goal perfectly. Her recommendation of using translucent-zirconium and a specific color grade was the key to achieving a realistic and stunning result. Furthermore, during my visit, I requested additional procedures beyond our initial agreement. Dr. Rebeka and her assistant went above and beyond to accommodate my requests, displaying an extraordinary dedication to ensuring my satisfaction. I was amazed by the state-of-the-art equipment and best quality materials known within the industry. These resources coupled with an on-site lab, achieved excellent results in record time. Now, having been back home - FL USA - for two weeks and showcasing the remarkable results, there are at least four of my family members and friends who are ready to head to Costa Rica for equally stunning results. I am one sincerely pleased Floridian and highly recommend America Dental to anyone seeking top-notch dental care without breaking the bank.

The first face you will see at America Dental and the person I would like to single out, aside from Dr. Vargas, is Marisela. She is the kindest and most diligent person who does everything to assist in helping you navigate your dental experience while in San Jose, Costa Rica. My daughter needed her whole mouth reconstructed after a car accident caused her to eventually lose all her teeth. She had tried regular dentures and snap-on dentures, neither of which worked for her. She was becoming reclusive due to not having teeth. After Dr. Vargas finished his work, her smile is beautiful and she is ready to go out into the world. Thank you Dr. Vargas and everybody in the office that made this happen!! -Laura Leite

They did it all plus addition of whitening and mouth guard for a little over $8,000. They were always very pleasant, informative, and Dr. Jimenez and Dr. Vargas were very helpful to make sure I was totally satisfied with the progress being made. I became very fond of the kind staff and have to say I miss them! Yes, they were that nice! Going there was the perfect choice and I highly recommend them! I told Dr Jimenez in my not so good Spanish, that she was an artista de la boca! (Their English is very good so no worries if you can't speak Spanish.) Very satisfied.

I am so grateful for their work and my teeth are beautiful, functional and amazing! Truly life changing! Having the lab in house to make and adjust the crowns is so great and fast.Their location is very convenient and close to CIMA hospital. I would recommend staying in walking distance, it makes it very easy, with lots of great restaurants close by, and a very safe environment. I am beyond happy with the work I have received and plan to return for more work on my bottom teeth in the future. And you get to go to Costa Rica! 100% recommendation
