1. Records. Scans, photographs and x-rays, then a digital plan of how the teeth will move.
2. Aligners are manufactured and issued in sets. Small attachments may be bonded to some teeth to grip them.
3. You wear each set as instructed, commonly 20 to 22 hours a day, removing them to eat.
4. Reviews every few weeks to check progress.
5. Refinement aligners if needed, then retainers to hold the result.
