A 10/10 dental clinic thanks to the enthusiasm and dedication of all the doctors and staff.

The dental clinic is clean, and the doctors and staff are professional and friendly. I used to be very afraid of dentists, but after coming here so often, I feel less scared, haha. However, probably because it's busy and has many branches, scheduling an appointment with a dentist is a bit difficult. The water flosser that Nk gave me wasn't very good; it broke after only 5 months of use, huhu.

About

What this clinic actually does.

True Dental (Nha Khoa That) is a specialist dental clinic established in 2007 by graduates of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, one of Vietnam's premier medical schools. The clinic operates two branches in Ho Chi Minh City: the primary location at 10 Nguyen Van Troi Street in Phu Nhuan District and a second branch at 254 Dien Bien Phu Street in the Xuan Hoa Ward of District 3. The clinic's Vietnamese name, Nha Khoa That (Genuine Dentistry), reflects a founding commitment to honest, transparent practice over the kind of inflated claims that have affected the reputation of some providers in the Vietnamese dental market.

The clinical team comprises five specialist dentists, each holding advanced qualifications: Dr. Ngo Long Phi, the clinic's chairman and surgical specialist; Dr. Do Thai Vinh Lai, Clinical Director and Specialist Level 1; Dr. Le Huy Toan, Dr. Pham Minh Phuc, and Dr. Thieu Quang Anh Khoi, each holding specialist credentials in their respective disciplines. This depth of specialist qualification across a five-member team is notably strong for a two-branch independent clinic and reflects a genuine commitment to clinical excellence over cosmetic positioning.

Dental implants are a core service at True Dental, with the clinic using GST implant systems and CT Conebeam imaging for pre-surgical planning. Conebeam CT scanning produces detailed three-dimensional images of the jawbone, mapping bone density, sinus anatomy, and nerve pathways with precision that conventional X-rays cannot achieve. This level of diagnostic detail enables the surgical team to plan implant placement with accuracy, minimizing procedural risk and maximizing the probability of long-term implant success. Single-tooth implants, multiple-tooth restorations, and full-arch rehabilitation using implant-supported prosthetics are all within the team's surgical scope.

Cosmetic porcelain veneers are performed using high-quality ceramic materials, applied to the front surfaces of teeth to correct discoloration, chips, gaps, and shape irregularities. The combined expertise of the prosthodontic and cosmetic dentistry specialists on the team ensures that veneer work meets demanding aesthetic standards, with results that blend naturally with the patient's surrounding dentition and facial proportions.

Orthodontic treatment is available in fixed and removable formats, addressing alignment irregularities, crowding, spacing, and bite problems. Traditional fixed braces provide comprehensive correction for complex cases, while clear aligner systems offer a less visible alternative for patients seeking a more discreet treatment experience. Orthognathic surgery consultation is available for patients with severe jaw discrepancies that require surgical intervention beyond what orthodontics alone can achieve, reflecting the surgical specialist credentials of the clinic's chairman.

General and endodontic dental services including root canal treatment, extractions, scaling, and restorations support the clinic's broader patient care mission. Root canal therapy is performed to preserve infected teeth rather than extracting them, maintaining the patient's natural dentition wherever possible. General cleaning and maintenance services help patients uphold the oral health standards necessary for long-term cosmetic and restorative treatment outcomes.

The clinic reports a 98.56% patient satisfaction rate, reflecting positively on both clinical outcomes and the overall patient experience. Open seven days a week, with hours from 8 AM to 7 PM on weekdays and 8 AM to 5 PM on Sundays, True Dental accommodates patients with varied schedules including those who cannot attend during standard working hours.

Both True Dental locations are situated in established inner-city districts of Ho Chi Minh City. Phu Nhuan District is a residential and commercial area bordering District 3, known for its quieter streets, cafes, and proximity to the city center. The Dien Bien Phu branch in District 3 is positioned in one of the city's most central and accessible areas. Both locations benefit from the extensive road and transport network that makes Ho Chi Minh City's inner districts navigable by taxi, ride-hailing service, or personal vehicle.

Questions

What people ask this clinic.

What dental treatments does True Dental offer?

True Dental is a specialist clinic founded in 2007, with branches in Phu Nhuan and District 3 in Ho Chi Minh City. The clinic covers a range of dental disciplines including implants, cosmetic dentistry, restorative work, orthodontics, root canal therapy, and periodontics. With nearly two decades of operation, True Dental has built depth in complex cases, including full-mouth rehabilitation and implant-supported restorations. Both branches are staffed by experienced specialists, giving patients access to multi-disciplinary care under one clinic network.

How do True Dental's prices compare to what I'd pay in Australia or the US?

At True Dental, patients from Australia, the US, and the UK typically save 60-75% on major dental procedures. A dental implant including the crown, which might cost USD 3,500-5,500 at home, is generally in the range of USD 750-1,200 at True Dental depending on the implant brand. Porcelain crowns and veneers that run USD 1,200-2,500 each in Western countries can often be done for USD 280-500 per tooth. Even for patients who factor in return flights and a 7-10 day stay, multi-procedure cases nearly always result in significant net savings.

What credentials does True Dental hold?

True Dental has operated under Vietnam Ministry of Health licensing since its founding in 2007, and its longevity in the Ho Chi Minh City dental market reflects a sustained standard of care. The clinic's specialist team holds qualifications from accredited Vietnamese dental faculties, with many dentists having completed additional postgraduate training in their respective specialties. The Phu Nhuan and District 3 branches operate to consistent protocols. Patients can request information about the specific credentials of their treating specialist as part of their initial consultation process.

Is there English support at True Dental?

True Dental has staff who can communicate in English and is experienced in managing international patients from English-speaking countries. Treatment plans, cost breakdowns, and aftercare instructions are available in English. For complex cases involving multiple specialists, the clinic's coordinators help facilitate communication throughout the process. If your specific language needs go beyond English, it is best to raise this at the time of your initial inquiry so the appropriate team member can be assigned.

How many days should I plan for treatment at True Dental?

The time needed depends on your treatment. Crowns and veneers typically require 5-7 days in Ho Chi Minh City, covering preparation, temporary fitting, and final bonding across two or three appointments. Routine treatments like whitening or fillings can be done in 2-3 days. Dental implant placement needs 5-7 days and a return trip 3-6 months later for the crown. Given that True Dental has two branches and a specialist team, scheduling is generally flexible. Many patients structure a 7-10 day trip to combine multiple treatments, making the most of being in Vietnam.

What implant brands does True Dental use?

True Dental uses a selection of internationally proven implant systems including Straumann, Osstem, and MegaGen. Straumann is the Swiss-made system with the most extensive global service network and the longest clinical data, which can be important if you need future implant work done by a dentist in your home country. Osstem and MegaGen are South Korean systems with strong performance records and are widely used across well-regarded Asian clinics. Your specialist at True Dental will explain the differences and recommend the most appropriate option for your clinical situation and budget.

Can crowns, veneers, or other restorations be finished in one visit?

Yes, for most restorative and cosmetic treatments. Crowns and porcelain veneers at True Dental are completed within a single visit to Ho Chi Minh City, usually across two appointments over 5-7 days. The first session handles examination, preparation, and temporary placement; the final restorations are bonded a few days later. Root canal therapy followed by a crown can often also be completed in one trip. Implant surgery is the exception, requiring a second visit for crown placement after the healing period. True Dental's two-branch structure provides scheduling flexibility to fit your available days.

What technology does True Dental use in its clinics?

True Dental uses digital X-ray and 3D CBCT imaging for detailed diagnosis and implant planning. Intraoral cameras are used during consultations to give patients a clear view of their dental condition. The clinic uses CAD/CAM-assisted workflows for crowns and prosthetics to improve fit and efficiency. For orthodontic cases, digital records support accurate bracket or aligner planning. With nearly 20 years of operation, True Dental has progressively updated its equipment to reflect contemporary clinical standards while focusing on the specialist-level care that is central to its identity.

What aftercare support is available when I return home?

True Dental provides detailed written aftercare guidance for all treatments, including diet, oral hygiene, and what symptoms should prompt you to seek attention. Remote follow-up is available via messaging and video call for patients who have returned home. Digital records, X-rays, and treatment summaries can be forwarded to your local dentist to maintain continuity of care. For implant patients, True Dental can provide your dentist with the implant system details needed for future crown work or maintenance. SmileJet's treatment coordination support is available if you need assistance communicating with the clinic post-treatment.
