Had my 1st cleaning service here. Had the air polishing service too. Dr joan is very gentle and detailed, whole process no discomfort at all. Recommend Dr Joan!

I've been seeing the same dentist for eight years. The dentist is very attentive and gentle, and the environment is clean and tidy.
My dad was told that X-ray is a must before extraction, but instead of doing a normal small part X-ray, they went and do a 3D X-ray for the whole mouth without mentioning on the price, which cost a bomb. considered very much weared off due to his age of 70 plus, with no dentures at all. My dad took it as hard selling as it is not a cheap procedure after all. My dad did mentioned that the dentist is no doubt very skilful and nice. Hence, if you visit this dental clinic, I would advise to discuss prices with the doctor on all treatments before starting on each procedures to prevent the same encounter as ours.
The braces I had done here turned out so well that I asked Dr. Shim to do my implants instead. Before the implants, Dr. Shim gave me a detailed 3D oral scan, which is much safer than a regular scan. Today is my second visit to The Smile Dental Lounge. Dr Shim was super professional and pay attention to details. I did a crowning and am very satisfied with the work done. Definitely recommended especially if you’re dentist-phobia! (I was one)

e starting, so I always knew what to expect. During the treatment, he made sure I was comfortable the whole time and kept checking if I was okay. I really appreciate that kind of care — it makes such a big difference! What impressed me most was how detailed and careful he was. He doesn’t rush, and you can tell he genuinely cares about doing the best for his patients. After the treatment, he also gave clear instructions and advice for aftercare, which helped a lot. Overall, I’m really happy with my visit and results. I used to feel nervous about going to the dentist, but after meeting Dr. Hung, that fear is completely gone. Highly recommend him and his team — definitely a clinic I’ll keep coming back to!

make retainer and scanning and both were unpleasant experience. The first time, my lips were pulled by both the dentist and her assistant when they did the scanning. It was unnecessary because I could have hold my lips according to my comfort level without them pinching it so hard. When taking the scan at the back of the mouth, I cannot open my jaw wider because it was too painful, but I feel like the scanning tool was being shoved to the back trying to force my jaw open. When I squirm and squeal out loud and tell them to stop or go slow, they force me to endure it. Then, yesterday, when I came, I just told dentist please be gentle, and right away the front of my bottom tooth was hit by the scanning tool. This could have been avoided. My teeth is already sensitive. If dentist is more careful, my teeth won't be hit by the tool. Now this caused me more worries. And again, when it came scanning the wisdom tooth, when I squealed loudly to tell them that it's painful and try to take the tool out of my mouth for them to go slower, they shoved the tool further in my mouth where it hurt my jaw, then scolded me for not enduring the pain . Honestly, I am deeply hurt by the service and how I was treated when I was in pain . If dentist was slower and more careful, maybe my experience would have been more pleasant. Now I'm worried about my bottom teeth that got hit by the tool and worried about my jaw, because it was forced to open too wide at a very fast speed when the tool got shoved to the back . The dentist should have adjusted according to my comfort level. I searched on Google, that if the customer raises her hand and informs of any discomfort, the dentist is suppose to readjust and try to make any pain as minimal or adjust to a more comfortable level like moving the tool more slowly and respecting the customer when she is squealing in pain . But instead, my hands was being pinned down by the assistant when I try to move the scanning tool to readjust it to fit my mouth so that the pain can be minimized . I am a paying customer . I am allowed to express if I am in any pain, and dentist is suppose to adjust according to my needs to make my experience a pleasant one. And please, avoid hitting or scraping customers teeth unnecessarily='(... Both experiences was a bit traumatic for me . I travel all the way, and both times left feeling more worried about my teeth and jaw. If it's not because of fast turnover time of retainer, I would not have came back .. Im still feeling very upset, because I have sensitive teeth and have been trying my best to care for it to avoid any chips on my teeth. And the customers jaw should not be forced too wide, as It can accidentally get dislocated . Please be more careful next time with your customers. Im still very sad about my experience and have trauma to go dentist.. Hope u can take this feedback positively and understand my feelings and worries . Thank you for the fast service for retainer and answering my questions nicely. Nevertheless, the process could have been more pleasant if it wasn't painful and more comfortable.
I used to have a real fear of the dentist, but that completely changed thanks to the incredible team at this practice. A huge shoutout to Dr Shim, Dr Hung, and the wonderful nurses for their patient, gentle, and caring approach. Their professionalism ensures every treatment is painless and comfortable.
