We visited this dental clinic with our child. We have had successful and positive visits here before, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. During this appointment, our child was clearly uncomfortable. Instead of responding calmly and professionally, the doctor behaved in a rude and impatient manner, increasing the pressure rather than trying to reassure the child. When our child said that the procedure was unpleasant, the doctor reacted in an ultimatum-like way, demanding an immediate decision on whether we would continue or not. That was definitely one of the worst experiences in the clinics. Shortly after that, the doctor ended the appointment herself, visibly irritated and unprofessional. There was no attempt to de-escalate the situation, show empathy, or adapt the approach to a child patient. This behavior is unacceptable in pediatric dentistry. Children require patience, calm communication, and emotional safety. Unfortunately, this visit failed on all of those points. Outstanding dental clinic. I’ve messaged them via WhatsApp, got an appointment booked for next day in less than 5 minutes. All staff spoke perfect English. My dentist - Dr. Joana - was polite and professional. Got my chipped - front tooth fixed in under an hour for €150. The facilities and equipment are super clean and modern, and customer service is 10/10. On a busy day I recommended parking in El Corte Ingles just across the street.

However, the clinic has serious operational issues that affected my overall experience. The biggest problem is refund handling. My insurance covers 70% of treatment costs, but even after insurance confirmation, the clinic keeps the money for too long instead of refunding it promptly. The process repeatedly follows the same pattern: • I have to send reminder emails, • the clinic asks again for bank details I had already provided, • the refund is still delayed, • and I’m encouraged to leave the balance for future treatment. From a patient’s perspective, this looks like systematic delay rather than a clear and transparent reimbursement process. There are also scheduling issues: even when arriving on time, waiting times can be long, and this can stretch the treatment timeline. So yes, the treatment itself was good — but the administrative side (especially refunds) was not. Patients should not have to chase their own money.

I went to have a filling done on a tooth that had become too high, and I returned to the clinic 4 hours later to have the tooth in question ground down. Without checking which tooth had been restored (as she had done 4 hours earlier), the dentist Joana Lourenço proceeded to grind down the tooth opposite the one with the filling. As she said, "the support point is completely eliminated." She did not admit the mistake, and this was confirmed by Dr. Miguel Alves (an excellent doctor who made me return to the clinic), who corrected the tooth that was causing problems and also polished the tooth that had been erroneously damaged. The clinic immediately polished the tooth damaged by the other dentist but did not offer me any compensation for the damage. The incident was recorded in the complaints book. If you schedule an appointment there, I recommend avoiding the aforementioned employee.
