Svedent is a specialist dental clinic in Sofia, Bulgaria, co-founded approximately 15 years ago by Dr. Svetoslav Velichkov and Dr. Denitsa Kafelova, two dentists who graduated from the Medical University of Sofia and built the practice around a shared commitment to high-standard, patient-centered dentistry. The Clinical Team

Dr. Svetoslav Velichkov is a co-founder and the clinic's lead implantologist. A graduate of the Medical University of Sofia with a master's degree in dental medicine, Dr. Velichkov has completed extensive postgraduate training and specializes in implantology and aesthetic dentistry. His expertise encompasses single and multiple implant placement, complex implant-supported prosthetics, and the integration of implant treatment within full-mouth aesthetic rehabilitation plans.

Dr. Denitsa Kafelova is the clinic's specialist in periodontics and periodontal surgery. A co-founder alongside Dr. Velichkov, she has pursued deep postgraduate training in gum disease treatment and periodontal surgery. Dr. Kafelova is also highly skilled in pink aesthetics -- the management of gum tissue appearance as a component of smile design -- which she integrates into complex treatment plans that require both hard and soft tissue refinement to achieve an ideal aesthetic result.

Dr. Mila Gorbunova has been part of the Svedent team since graduating from the Dental Faculty of the Medical University of Sofia in 2009. She focuses primarily on pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, working with both children and adults on teeth alignment using removable appliances including trainers, splints, and clear aligners, as well as fixed orthodontic systems in both metal and aesthetic bracket options. Dr. Gorbunova frequently contributes to the clinic's team-based multidisciplinary treatment plans.

Dr. Bozhidar Kafelov joined Svedent in 2009 as an endodontist and has dedicated his career to root canal treatment and aesthetic composite restorations. He is recognized beyond the clinic as an educator, having lectured and taught courses in Bulgaria and internationally on endodontics and composite restorative dentistry since 2011. His teaching role reflects the depth of expertise he brings to clinical practice at Svedent.

Dr. Roksana Todorova has been a member of the team since 2012, the same year she won the student endodontics competition at the Sofia Dental Meeting. She graduated from the Dental Faculty of the Medical University of Sofia in 2013 and has since developed her professional focus in endodontics, the restoration of endodontically treated teeth, and aesthetic dentistry.
