SOTA Dental Cancun

Highly recommended: Grace Dental Studio, Los Algodones, MX Dr. Nestor Marquez and Dr. Diego Marquez are highly skilled and dedicated dental professionals. Their office (Grace Dental Studio) is part of the Sota Dental Group. In March 2019, I contacted Sota Dental and sent in their online information request. Joshua from Sota Dental called me the same day and said he would send my information to their Los Algodones office. That evening DR. Nestor called me from his cell phone and spent a half hour telling me about All-on-4 dental implants and answering any questions I might have. I was impressed that the surgeon that would be doing my extractions and implants would spend this much time with a prospective client. He also told me that Grace Dental Studio is the only place in Mexico that offer the Crystal Ultra implant denture (manufactured in Phoenix, AZ). After talking to Dr. Nestor and reading about the superiority of the Crystal Ultra, I made an appointment for the All-on-4 surgery for early June 2019. During the 2 months before going to Mexico, I watched all the videos at Sotadental.com and gracedentalstudio.net. Dr. Nestor and his brother Dr. Diego have several videos posted on these sights. I would recommend anyone thinking about using their service, watching the videos is a great source of information. Also during this time I had several email conversations with the Grace Dental Studio staff. When I had a question, I always received a timely response. On June 4, my wife and I flew to Phoenix, rented a car and drove to the USA parking lot, just minutes (walking) to reach their office on the Mexican side of the border. It was very comfortable meeting Dr.s Nestor and Diego, as I felt I already knew them from the video and my phone conversation with Dr. Nestor. On that first appointment, Dr. Nestor did an examination of my mouth, and had a CT Scan done of my upper arch. He took impressions of my upper arch. Dr. Diego then wanted to take some pictures of my mouth so he could design the temporary denture I would have while the implants heal. Dr. Diego does not take his part of the process lightly. He took dozens of pictures from every imaginable angle. He treated the importance of the temporary denture looking and feeling as good as if it were the final product. Finally, Dr. Nestor invited my wife and me to his office to go over the CT scan and answer any and all questions we might have. He is friendly and accommodating, and his passion for quality dentistry was so evident. The next morning: Surgery Day. We arrived at 8:15am. At 8:30, Dr. Nestor took me to the surgery area and they began the IV sedation. Even though I was partially awake during the surgery, the only thing I remember is Dr. Nestor saying that we were done. It was amazing that I didn't have any sense of being drowsy, and that I was unaware that the surgery had even happened. They took another post surgery impression and fitted the temporary denture . My smile very closely resembled my natural teeth smile. Dr. Diego is a genius. Dr. Nestor prescribed some pain pills. During the course of the first day (as the numbness began to wear off), I took one of the pain pills. I took one more before going to bed (even though I had yet to feel any pain from the surgery). The next morning we went back to the dental office and Dr. Nestor did an examination of his work. I had not had any bleeding since early afternoon of the surgery day. He said everything was looking good. He showed me how to reline the temporary denture, which would be needed after the swelling from the surgery subsides. He told me if I had any concerns to call him on his cell phone. We chose not to have the followup appointment on the third day, and returned to our home in Oregon. It has been 2 weeks and I have yet to feel any pain from the surgery and I haven't used any more pain medication since that first 24 hours. I am looking forward to seeing these 2 great dentists and their wonderful staff on my next appointment .

I had 3 abutments and 3 crowns installed last week and everything went really well. The staff is helpful in everyday,, including organizing transportation to/from the airport and back and forth between clinic and hotel. Also had a telephone conversation before I went to Cancun to answer my questions and put me at ease. I can't recommend SOTA and Dental Design Studio.too highly!

My experience at Sota Dental was great. I was delighted from the beginning when I started getting in touch with Dr. Galvez and his secretary. Dr Galvez displayed a high level of professionalism. The medical assistants that work with him possessed high level of good moral character, and are quite welcoming. I grew up in the US, and move back later in life. But I could not find a good place when I needed a root canal treatment because of the cost of specialists. However, I discovered the reviews of Dr. Galvez in Mexico, that families in America could save some money and get service like home. Dr. Galvez with his team of staff, put a grin on my face during the short time of my treatment. It was very relieving. Dr Galvez was very dynamic and articulate in responding to my queries, prior to the treatment, an attitude I rarely experienced in America. Certainly, listening has played a key role in supporting my healing process, as well as improving the quality of the trust I was putting to the doctor. He really listens to your problems. Dr. Galvezes professionalism became appartent when he performed the root canal treatment. I had heard that root canal treatment is agonizing; however, the reverse was the case with Dr G. Among the benefits I got from the treatment, was my capacity to bite proficiently, and to be pain free. Dr. Galvez was passionate about seeing me regaining my health after our encounter in the clinic. Because his interest is pinned on the satisfaction he experience when a patient gets well, the cost is not always a big deal it seems like. He had options for me which was great. I saved some considerable $$$$ during my visit to his clinic in Mexico. If every dentist in America could behave like Dr. Galvez, dental would be fine at home. The professional attitude of Dr. Galvez cannot not be overemphasized. He prioritizes service in his work. Keep in mind; this is about your life. You can either spend your whole life doing what is ideal or loose it completely. Therefore, I recommend Dr. Galvez and the Sota Dental staff in Cancun to any patient in America and beyond who would like to a have perfect treatment. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for dental work! This was the best dental experience I’ve had.

I have been with Dr. Galvez for two years (since he was at another clinic) even when it takes time for me to go to Cancun. It’s worth the travel just to get treated by this amazing clinic. My appointment was with Dr. Galvez & his new staff and I've never found a dentist that's as honest, reliable and attentive as he is. He knows what he is doing, and you can tell by his attitude and professionalism. Some dentist will tell you that you need to have multiple procedures even when it's not needed, like some that I was with before -- one that I went to said that I need crowns when I did not need it at all. While the last one before him/her did some work without my approval and charged me a lot! I can definitely say that with Dr. Galvez, you are in good hands he made me feel comfortable. I had a couple of root canals and I was very scared at first but it turned out good and well done. I had no pain after he cleared up my infection. It was like I was a whole new me! The staff around him was very friendly they made things really easy for me. Communication with the secretary was perfect. The environment was very professional they even helped me save with options and packages for the kind of treatments they have. The clinics' service was great and it's very accessible. You can easily find the office near the SUPERRAMA supermarket. They even called me before my appointment date to check since I forgot to call them days prior and made me understand everything I need to know before flying to Cancun. They made everything easy for me. I can say that this is the best Dental service I’ve had. All of the medical service I've had, I’d give this clinic a 5-star rating in terms of professionalism, efficiency and their staff. I would definitely come back again

To Dr. Galvez and the staff of Sota Dental: Thank you for asking me to write a review about my experience. I have nothing but good things to say. Here’s my story. I considered it quite a big leap taking off to Cancun for extensive dental work. It was not easy relying on email to communicate with a dentist that I have not met and seen in person. The good reviews I read about Sota Dental made me decide on this and now I am sure that I made the right choice. Discussing with Dr Galvez about my dental problems made me comfortable even if it was through the phone. Besides the fact that dental work up is super expensive where I live, my mouth had some different problems. With Sota Dental, I felt relieved that my case was given priority and there would be no delays. They said they could fit it into a normal vacation time. When I flew to Cancun, I did not have to wait for long because a driver of the clinic was waiting. She took care of my luggage and immediately led me to wait in the car that took me to this very nice hotel. Since it was my first time in Cancun, this was perfect. The driver gave me some tips about where to eat, and I appreciated this gesture. She said she will pick me up after a few hours so I can get some rest and relax a bit. I had my first appointment on the same day I arrived. After I freshen up and changed into comfortable clothes, my guide was back and said we will pass by some tourist attractions since it was on the way to the clinic. I enjoyed this part. A very warm and very professional welcome was waiting for me at the clinic. The staff quickly x-rayed me and with no waiting, the dentist explained to me what needed to be done and how long it will entail. I definitely needed a root canal for a couple of teeth and some needed fixing - all these they can do with a fraction of cost compared to US prices. Dr. Galvez personally attended to me, answered all my questions which made me comfortable with the person. I never had a pleasant experience with a dentist before this, and this one was tops. He is so polite! His English was flawless which made me more at home. I was asked if I wanted the procedures made immediately or want to have this the following day. Since the dental work up was what I came for, I said better to have this over and done with. They said that we can start after an hour and that I needed to eat before anything else. Dr. Galvez asked one of his staff to accompany me to the Starbucks across the road. Quite cool The clinic exuded a pleasant scene. It smelled good and was very clean. For people who are afraid of dentists, this place will take away that fear. I saw some locals and some patients from the UK being attended to and they were smiling and pleased with the service. We talked about how much they liked coming here better than home. It was very relieving to meet people like myself. After the fine meal, we went back to the clinic and Dr.Galvez got straight to the work. Professional, precise, fast and with a bit of humour too. His English is perfect and you can tell he is a professional. I think I even fell asleep for a bit. He said that I have to go back before I go back to the US so they can check that everything is doing well. It's been 3 months since I got back from Cancun. I had 2 root canals, cleaning and fixing some chipped teeth. Dr. Galvez and his staff are the best for me. They gave me a very good experience from the hotel accommodation to the short tour of the city. I am definitely recommending Sota Dental to my family and friends and will go back if another dental problem happens.

Publish their price list but then quote almost double for procedures that NOT even close. Bait and switch.

SOTA Dental walked me through the entire process as they connected me to an amazing clinic in their network and made it all very, very easy. Everyone speaks fluent English and there were no surprises. They are professional. I was thrilled with the clinic and the people that did my work, who are highly educated and very skilled cosmetic dentistry artists in a office nicer and more up to date than many I have been in here in the US. I get compliments on my beautiful teeth all the time. I am not the most trusting person, so if I say you can trust SOTA to guide you well, I mean it.

I would highly recommend that if you are considering dental implants that you give them a call. The process was fast an efficient and the quote I received was the price I paid after completion. The price was 1/3 the cost of the procedure quoted to me in the States. You will find the staff to be highly trained and very accommodating! They have a great concierge service and they book everything for you and provide a car and driver for all office visits! I am enjoying my new smile and enjoying being able to eat regular foods again without pain!!!

I am in Cancun right now and went to the location on the map, I could not find the facility! Could someone tell me if they have moved?

From the moment I was even interested. The staff was more than helpful. Helped me set up everything. They were very honest and caring. Would def recommend!!
