I said I wanted to get my teeth cleaned and get braces, they said they would do an evaluation (I imagined it would be for the braces, as is routine), but they didn't schedule my cleaning. Initially, my experience was great, read to the end and pay attention to your contract! I contacted the clinic because I needed to get my braces put back on. I scheduled an evaluation and had them put on the same day, which met my expectations. That day my cost was: R$750.00 for the braces + R$180.00 for cleaning + x-ray (I don't remember the price) + R$150.00 for monthly maintenance. Top-notch…

tch service, everything paid, everything clarified. However, problems started to appear. At the maintenance appointments, it was always the same thing: only wire replacement (I use interconnected braces, without elastics, which is more expensive and requires more maintenance). Eleven months passed, and I received the news that I needed to wear elastics (for at least another year and six months). During those 11 months, nothing was done. I refused to wear them and informed them that I would remove the braces myself. On that day, I was not informed of the cost, exams, time frame, or any other information. I waited until the next appointment and informed them that I would be removing the retainer. However, I was told that I would need a specific appointment with more time to make the retainer mold, and that there would also be an additional cost for making this mold (R$550.00). In short: + 1 month because the mold can only be made at the next appointment, as it wouldn't fit in the usual appointment time. + 1 month until the mold is ready. Two more months of maintenance to be paid for, even though I said I wanted to remove it. To top it all off, I completed 12 months of the contract, and the next maintenance appointments will have a price adjustment (from R$150.00 to R$165.00), meaning they pushed months on me that wouldn't have been necessary if they had explained this entire removal procedure to me. The service at reception is wonderful when we accept and agree with everything that is said, and also when we present our credit card. NOTE: I was told that all of this is in my contract and signed by me. A clinic that presents itself as high-end while neglecting to provide basic information to clients in order to obtain a higher monetary return.

We would like to clarify that the mold and retainer are separate procedures from orthodontic treatment, performed after the braces are removed. They involve laboratory costs for fabrication and finishing, which is why there is an additional cost. The retainer is optional, and the patient has complete freedom to have it made with us or elsewhere. However, it is important to remember that not using a retainer can compromise the result achieved throughout the treatment, as teeth tend to move naturally after the braces are removed. I recently visited the Sorridents Clinic on Rua dos Andradas and started treatment. I'm really enjoying it; the professionals are good, the staff are helpful, and the prices are reasonable.
