I was recommended the best dentist in Colombia and I got porcelain veneers done. I can tell you and I recommend her, she's excellent.
I went to Cartegena specifically to inquire about the Dental Tourism. I had previously chosen a different Dentist, however, this particular clinic was nearer to my hotel. I made an appointment and was required to pay $200 for the evaluation and x-rays. receptionist gave me THREE separate estimates for the work. All were very expensive. $38,000, $37,000 and $36,000. The reason I had chosen Cartegena was because I was told it would be significantly LESS than the USA. This was a lie. The receptionist told me I needed to make a deposit to hold the lowest price. I asked her if I could make the deposit when and if I decided on the procedure and she told me that I needed to make a deposit to hold the price. I ASKED her if I would get the deposit back if I changed my mind and she told me yes. The deposit was $1,000. I made the deposit. Less than a week later, I asked for it back. That is too much money to give to that clinic. They wanted me to fly back twice and spend a week the firat time and two weeks thw second time on my own dime PLUS pay them over $36,000. They gave me the run around for over a week and then just ignored me. Meanwhile this clinic makes millions off of foreigners but they refuse to give me my $1,000 back. Make it make sense. They have all these great reviews, but to me they are just common thieves. Their office is very soothing and calming, but their business practices are ruthless!

I found this dental office on google search and checked out the website which had 5 star reviews, so I decided to book a teeth whitening session. I never meant Dr. Tarsys Loayza nor did she give a consultation. When I arrived and after paying $220.37, I was meant by someone with a mask (no introduction) and given a gown, head and feet cover and led to a room where I was meant by another person…

with a mask still no introduction. At no time was I told I would be getting a teeth cleaning, which was excruciating to the point where my back tooth was damaged. I had the procedure done on January 24, 2026, with ongoing tooth sensitivity. Too much time was spent on the teeth cleaning than the actual teeth whitening. I did see a difference, but not as white as expected. Also, I have dental insurance back home, so I don’t pay for teeth cleaning, and I found teeth whitening in the United States for under $100. So, to sum it up, if you have insurance don’t waste your time here on teeth whitening it’s more expensive in Colombia than in the United States. The three star rating was based on misleading information, the teeth whitening desire and the lasting effect. My advice is to do your due diligence. This is my feedback on my experience, ultimately, the choice is yours. Please see the photos before and after, as well as a photo from their website and the last photo two weeks after the procedure.

Thank you for everything and hope to see you next year. Best, Sue Ellen.” 1) At our clinic, we are extremely careful and rigorous with our biosafety protocols, both for our staff and our patients. This is why the use of face masks is mandatory. Furthermore, we have highly qualified staff dedicated exclusively to the care of our patients. The protection provided to you is in accordance with international biosafety protocols, which allows us to be among the top clinics in the world. As a patient, I am grateful for this type of clinical management because it protects me from all diseases and microorganisms that could affect my health. 2) Laser whitening consists of LIGHTENING the natural shade of your teeth WITHOUT DAMAGING THEM. For example, in your case, your teeth were shade A3 and ended up at B1, which is an excellent shade. You were informed via WhatsApp that the cost of the procedure included a deep dental cleaning and that the entire procedure would take approximately one and a half hours. To obtain the best results, a deep dental cleaning is necessary, especially when patients arrive with a LOT OF TARTAR, as was the case with you. That's why your appointment took longer than usual. I reiterate that we are very responsible in our procedures and adhere to ethical and academic standards. 3) The molar you mentioned was full of food and has a deep cavity, which you should have treated. Dental cleanings don't damage teeth; on the contrary, they reveal the cavities and raise the patient's awareness of poor hygiene. We recommend you visit a dentist to have the deep cavity removed or to have the tooth extracted. 4) We give all our patients recommendations that they must follow to the letter for long-lasting and optimal results. It seems you ignored our recommendations because 99% of our patients recommend us. Look at how healthy your teeth look in the last photo you attached to your comment; compare the change they've undergone. This was her comment, and we felt she was satisfied: “Thank you for the photos. I wish they came out whiter. But I do see the difference. I know you did a lot of tartar cleaning.
