ParoDent (Centrum zubni pece MUDr. Dubravska) is a specialist dental care centre located at Londynska 2209/58 in the Vinohrady district of Praha 2, Prague, Czech Republic. The clinic is founded and led by MUDr. Edita Dubravska, a certified periodontologist and practical dentist with over 30 years of clinical experience and specialist certification from the Czech Dental Chamber. ParoDent's name directly signals its primary clinical focus: periodontology, the branch of dentistry concerned with the health of the gums and supporting structures of the teeth.
The clinic is equipped with surgical microscopes and 3D X-ray imaging, reflecting the technical demands of specialist periodontal and oral mucosa work. It operates with extended hours from 07:00 to 20:00 Monday through Thursday, and until 15:00 on Fridays, with a multi-dentist team supported by dental hygienists and administrative staff.
Periodontology is the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of diseases affecting the gums and the bone and connective tissue that support the teeth. ParoDent's specialist focus in this area, backed by MUDr. Dubravska's formal Czech Dental Chamber certification as a periodontologist, places it among the relatively small number of Czech dental practices offering genuine specialist-level periodontal care.
Periodontal disease is one of the most prevalent and consequential dental conditions in the adult population. It begins as gingivitis, inflammation of the gums caused by bacterial plaque accumulation, and can progress to periodontitis, a destructive condition in which bacterial toxins and the body's immune response together cause resorption of the alveolar bone and destruction of the periodontal ligament that attaches the teeth to the jaw. Untreated advanced periodontitis leads to tooth mobility and ultimately tooth loss. Despite its prevalence, periodontal disease is frequently under-diagnosed in general dental settings, making access to a specialist clinic like ParoDent particularly valuable for patients with persistent gum bleeding, deep periodontal pockets, receding gums, or unexplained tooth mobility.
Treatment at ParoDent for periodontal disease is structured and evidence-based, typically progressing through initial intensive scaling and root planing to remove subgingival deposits, followed by reassessment, surgical interventions where required to access deep pockets or regenerate lost tissue, and long-term supportive maintenance. MUDr. Dubravska's 30+ years of clinical experience in this field means the clinic has managed a wide spectrum of periodontal presentations from early gingivitis to advanced Stage IV periodontitis, and can provide treatment tailored to each case's complexity.
A specialisation in oral mucosa diseases sets ParoDent further apart from general dental practices. Conditions affecting the soft tissues of the mouth, including recurrent aphthous ulcers, oral lichen planus, candidal infections, geographic tongue, and leukoplakia, require diagnosis and management that goes beyond the scope of routine dental care. MUDr. Dubravska's expertise in this area allows the clinic to investigate and treat mucosal conditions that may be missed or inadequately managed in a general dental setting, and to identify any lesions requiring urgent medical investigation.
ParoDent's investment in surgical microscopes supports both its periodontal and general dental clinical work. Microscope-assisted periodontal surgery allows the surgeon to visualise the root surfaces, bone defects, and soft tissue architecture in fine detail during procedures such as flap surgery, bone grafting, and guided tissue regeneration. This level of optical magnification improves the precision of periodontal surgical interventions, supporting better tissue healing and more predictable outcomes. The microscopes are also used for other precision dental work including endodontics and complex restorative procedures.
Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) provides three-dimensional views of bone levels, root anatomy, furcation involvement, and sinus structures that are essential for comprehensive periodontal assessment, pre-implant planning, and surgical procedure design. The availability of 3D imaging in-house at ParoDent supports more precise diagnosis and treatment planning than is possible with conventional two-dimensional radiographs alone, and reduces the need for patients to visit an external imaging centre before their periodontal treatment can proceed.
Alongside its specialist periodontal and oral mucosa services, ParoDent provides comprehensive general dental care. Patients can receive routine examinations, restorative treatment, endodontic therapy, and professional hygiene cleaning within the same clinical environment as their specialist periodontal management. This integrated approach is particularly valuable for patients with complex periodontal conditions who also need restorative or prosthodontic work, allowing their entire dental care to be coordinated by a team that understands the periodontal context of every clinical decision.
Professional hygiene appointments are a fundamental part of periodontal maintenance. At ParoDent, hygiene appointments are designed within the context of each patient's periodontal status, with subgingival cleaning targeted to the specific pocket depths and affected areas identified in the patient's periodontal chart. Supportive periodontal therapy at appropriate recall intervals is the most effective way to maintain the gains achieved through active periodontal treatment and prevent disease recurrence.
MUDr. Dubravska trained at Charles University in Prague and the 2nd Dental Clinic at the General University Hospital, one of the Czech Republic's most prestigious training environments for dental specialists. Her dual certification as a practical dentist and periodontologist from the Czech Dental Chamber, combined with over 30 years of clinical practice, positions her as one of Prague's most experienced periodontal specialists. The clinic she has built around her expertise reflects a clinical model in which specialist knowledge is combined with general dental competence to provide holistic care for patients with complex oral health needs.
For patients in Prague or visiting from abroad who require specialist-level periodontal diagnosis and treatment, management of oral mucosa conditions, or comprehensive general dental care within a periodontally informed clinical environment, ParoDent offers a rare depth of specialist expertise in a modern, well-equipped Vinohrady practice.

I am a doctor who did his internship with Dr. Matějka. I am surprised by the extent of his knowledge and the top quality of professional procedures. If I personally had problems with "periodontal disease", I would go to him.

I visited the clinic for the first time and I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised. The entire process from ordering to the treatment itself was carried out professionally and without unnecessary waiting. The staff was nice, helpful and willing to explain everything. The doctor seemed very professional and at the same time human. During the treatment I felt calm and in good hands. It is clear that he does his job with confidence and experience. Overall, I rate my first visit very positively. The services are at a high level and I can recommend the clinic without hesitation.

A big thank you to the entire team at Parodent Clinic. They are truly professionals in their field, from the doctors, to the dental hygienist, who I visit regularly, to the very kind and helpful reception. I would especially like to highlight the very human and professional approach of Dr. Pospíšil and his lovely nurses. The doctor repaired all the damage that my former dentist unfortunately did. My teeth now look completely untouched, I have never seen such beautiful fillings as the doctor does.

I've been going to Parodent for over 20 years, that says it all. Everything is fine at Parodent - the professional care of all the employees is something normal here, after all these years you kind of take it for granted. Keep it up and thanks.

I have always had an exceptional experience at Parodent. The level of care I’ve received over the years has been truly outstanding, from dental hygiene appointments to more complex dental surgeries. The dental hygienists, especially David Thál, whom I see regularly, are absolutely wonderful. They are incredibly thorough, gentle, and knowledgeable, and they consistently make every visit feel comfortable, calm, and reassuring. Their care and attention to detail truly make a difference, and I always leave feeling well taken care of. After a failed root canal at another office, Dr. Staněk was able to correct the issue, and I haven’t had a single problem since. That experience alone solidified my trust in this practice. I travel a very long distance just to come to Parodent because I trust the entire team - their expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail are unmatched. The office itself is modern, spotless, and welcoming, and everyone I’ve interacted with has been kind, patient, and genuinely caring. I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else and recommend Parodent without hesitation.

I sought out a periodontist after long-standing gum problems. I was diagnosed with incipient periodontitis and needed to address it. I underwent a deep cleaning and extraction of all eights. I was terribly afraid of it, but the professionalism of Dr. David and Stanek put me at ease right at the beginning of the procedure. Everything went smoothly and my gums did not hurt at all after the extractions and cleaning. I was back to normal the next day. Thank you for the professional approach and painless process! Mgr.
