Hi Maycon, unfortunately dentistry isn't like medicine, which allows for telehealth consultations. Even if it could, the professional would still be paid for. For a dentist to create a treatment plan that addresses the main complaint and identifies the root cause, a personal evaluation is necessary. In-person consultations involve several professionals, from reception and cleaning staff to dental assistants and finance personnel, not to mention indirect staff... we also need supplies and equipment to provide the best possible treatment. Even for the first consultation, we have exorbitant expenses. We haven't updated the price list yet, but it will be adjusted soon, as consultations have always had annual adjustments, and procedures went several years without adjustments. However, we are updating the price list according to the cost of materials, which unfortunately have increased significantly since the pandemic, an unusual increase, in addition to the other measures we had to take to avoid cross-infection. For example, all rooms are disinfected every day with ozone gas, in addition to the investment in equipment. We have weekly maintenance, as the gas kills microorganisms but damages our hoses. Even so, we choose to use it because the health of our clients is priceless. We take care of everyone as if they were our family, because that's how we would like them to be treated. We are not even taking into account how much the professionals here invest in training and courses to stay up-to-date. Unfortunately, you and your wife left with a bad impression of our clinic. We are sure you would change your mind if you chose to take care of your oral health here. The most important part of the treatment is the diagnosis. It wouldn't be fair to give you a price quote over the phone and then have the dentist diagnose you with a root canal, crown lengthening, a core and crown, or an onlay, for example... the price is significantly higher in such a case... or that the tooth cannot be restored. In short, even if you come in person, we still need radiographic and tomographic exams because we can't see what's in the root... here we work in a multidisciplinary team and evaluate complex cases as a team. We are truly concerned with offering the best dental treatment to our clients. We are very sorry!
