Dear Ms. Balija, You came to Milicic Dent for help after having previously been to two dental clinics where you had one tooth treated for a long time. You were recommended to try to save the tooth once more by an endodontic specialist, which was done in our clinic according to professional rules. You were previously warned that we would perform endodontic treatment on the tooth and that if you continued to experience discomfort in that tooth, then there was no point in doing anything on that tooth a fourth time and that in that case the tooth would need to be removed. You agreed to the procedure, which, I repeat, was performed according to all professional rules. Unfortunately, after some time, you again experience certain discomfort in the treated tooth and in a discussion with you we make a joint decision to remove the tooth. Then you demand a refund for the previous procedures that were performed on you. It was explained to you that we cannot do this because we have spent our time, knowledge, and materials on the endodontic treatment that was performed on you and that you consciously agreed to the treatment, having been previously warned about the possible complications and final outcomes of the aforementioned therapy. The tooth extraction would have been performed by an oral surgery specialist at no additional cost, which you refuse and still demand a refund. Considering that we performed the treatment according to professional rules, we are not obligated to return your money, which is why you decided to write this review. During the second treatment, I mentioned this to the doctor, who excitedly told me "YOU BITE YOURSELF OUT because of the anesthesia", so shifting responsibility from the very beginning and blaming the patient for their mistakes! I know that I didn't "bite myself out" because I was very careful after the treatment and that it was all about the dry cotton wool and not me! During the second or third treatment, there was an agreement over the phone "we will do such and such a filling for so and so many euros", which was part of the offer I AGREE TO. So what I was supposed to do that day was included in that offer of 800 euros because there were multiple appointments. I came with exactly the amount of money that WAS AGREED to pay for that appointment. While I was in the chair, the doctor told me "today we will do this and that" without mentioning the price. I didn't answer anything, thinking that he was referring to the AGREED treatments. AS A PATIENT, I am not required to know the technical medical terms, let alone the price of something that he himself decided would be done on the spot, my task as a PATIENT is to prepare the money for what WAS AGREED OVER THE PHONE. I relaxed, expecting professionalism, and let the doctor do his job, THINKING THAT HE WAS LOGICALLY WORKING ACCORDING TO THE AGREEMENT AND THE PRICE I AGREED TO FOR THAT DAY... Only to end up at the reception desk and get a bill of 100 and a bit more euros for something that was not part of the offer. I had to call my parents to pay me the money and I was put in a very unpleasant and even embarrassing situation. I had a filling or repair between two units, namely two front teeth, which was done okay in the place where the problem was before (the upper part), BUT BROWN DOTS BEGAN TO COLLECT ON THE LOWER PART OF THE TOOTH IN A PLACE WHERE THERE WAS NEVER ANY BEFORE!!! They tried to convince me that it was pigmentation and that it was normal, even though I NEVER HAD IT BEFORE. In other words, they made another out of one problem. I understand that not everything can always be perfect, but FOR THAT MONEY, one expects a lot more. I gave two stars because they did one filling on the second one well, but that is not a reason to return... Next, THE MAIN REASON and shame of this office... I called and reported the problem, and asked to speak to the boss or head doctor at the next treatment to resolve the problems and concerns. When I came for my next treatment, they just sent me to the doctor's office where I had been before and continued working as if nothing had happened, while the head doctor LITERALLY sneaked up behind me so I wouldn't see him (I was lying on a chair), monitored the situation for a good half a minute and then walked out! So HE DID NOT INTRODUCE HIS name or surname, nor apologize, let alone consult me in any way. So after my request to consult with him, the head doctor DID NOT ESTABLISH ANY COMMUNICATION WITH ME! They offered to clean the area where the brown discharge had collected, but it continued to collect within a couple of weeks... The doctor who cleaned it kept assuring me that it was normal, but I know it wasn't because it had never collected in that area before. I continued to have problems with a brown dot in the same place between the two units even after cleaning, so I repeat, they created another problem from one problem (and it was on the lower part of the tooth, while the problem was originally on the upper part). They offered me to repeat the treatment, which is the bare minimum, but I didn't agree because they completely lost my trust. I forgot about all of that, and continued with my life, suppressing these traumas. Only to be called in for a check-up a year later. I really don't understand on what basis they got the impression that I ever wanted to step into their office again...

During any dental procedure, temporary mucosal reactions, such as aphthae or irritation, may occur, especially after anesthesia and prolonged holding of the mouth open. Such phenomena are not uncommon, nor can they always be clearly linked to a single cause. Our doctor provided a professional explanation based on clinical experience at that time, without the intention of minimizing your discomfort. As for the treatment plan and prices, in our practice, patients receive a preliminary offer of the overall therapy in advance, while individual procedures are calculated according to the work actually performed by appointment. During treatment, sometimes, based on clinical findings, the need for additional or modified procedures arises in order to achieve a high-quality and long-lasting result. Such decisions are made solely in the interest of the patient's oral health, and not arbitrarily or without professional basis. We understand that the situation at the reception was unpleasant for you and we are sorry if there was a misunderstanding about the amount of the bill. However, we emphasize that we never perform procedures that do not have a medical indication, nor do we intentionally withhold information from patients. Changes in color or pigmentation in the area of the fillings, especially between the front teeth, are a known and common occurrence and do not necessarily mean that the procedure was unsuccessful. In your case, additional cleaning and correction, as well as a repeat procedure, were offered, which we consider a correct and professional approach to resolving potential dissatisfaction. We are sorry if you got the impression that the communication with the head doctor was not what you expected. In everyday work, doctors often supervise and consult on therapies within the team, but apparently in your case this was not perceived as sufficiently direct communication, which we acknowledge. While we respect your decision to continue your treatment elsewhere, we believe it is important to emphasize that our goal has always been to provide professional, conscientious, and medically justified service.
