The doctor doesn't force anything; she explains everything patiently and thoroughly, establishes rapport with the child, is gentle, cares about the child's well-being, and is also friendly and entertaining, which has a very positive impact on our daughter. I should add that our case isn't the easiest one, as our daughter has already had one tooth extracted and is undergoing treatment for another, but I have complete confidence in the treatment and can rest assured. doctor's attitude and demeanor would be somewhat different. Magdalena Kฤpisty is definitely a good specialist, and I don't doubt that, but as for her approach, I don't think it's entirely accurate โ generally, it turns out that everything is fine if the child listens and cooperates, but if not, it's a big problem for the dentist. She tried to explain and explain, but after the first 10 minutes, I heard that she didn't see it and that it was best to put the child under general anesthesia and have the remaining teeth done at the same time. And I heard the word "anesthesia" a few more times... it doesn't look good, it looks like business as usual. When I asked if my dad could come in, I was told she was running out of time, and our visit really didn't last long โ it was only in the first 15 minutes. I also heard a few inappropriate comments, in my opinion, like: "If you don't let me, I'll go home, Auntie's coming and you, and we have the afternoon free," or "I don't have time, you have to give it quickly." What do such words mean to a 6-year-old? They're unnecessary. My negative response to treatment under general anesthesia prompted a mocking response from Mrs. Kฤpista, who said, "Oh, well, Mom, you can keep trying." Time was pressing from the very first minutes, so I decided it was pointless, and I took my child, thanked her, and left. The ladies did seem to repent and came out to see us. My daughter decided to try again, but it still didn't work. In my opinion, since 2023, when I came with my son and they quoted me treatment under anesthesia along with four healthy children, which I consulted with several dentists, nothing has changed, and there is even more emphasis on treatment under anesthesia.

Thank you for your feedback. We'd like to address this post in two parts. First, the doctor will present the visit from her perspective, then we'll address the rest of the post. Dear Doctor, For much of the visit, I focused on building trust with your daughterโpatiently explaining the sedation process and encouraging her to practice "breathing" through the mask together. Unfortunately, despite our combined efforts and several attempts, your daughter was unable to accept the sedation maskโshe cried, said her nose hurt, and didn't want to continue the visit. Inhalation sedation requires the child to breathe calmly and regularly through the maskโwithout this, further stages of the procedure, especially one like a tooth extraction, would be not only ineffective but also dangerous. My suggestions for alternative treatment methodsโincluding pharmacological sedation or general anesthesia (these were not the only treatment options I presented)โwere based solely on my concern for your daughter's safety and comfort, as well as the effectiveness of the treatment. They were not an expression of impatience or a "businesslike" attitude, as you perceived. I would also like to emphasize that I personally do not perform procedures under general anesthesia nor do I derive financial benefit from them โ I only recommend them in situations where other methods prove ineffective or insufficient. The words I said, which you deemed inappropriate, were intended to calm the stressful situation and reduce tension โ however, their delivery could have been perceived differently, which I sincerely acknowledge and will take into account in the future. Magdalena Kฤpisty We do not wish to leave the rest of your post unanswered, so we will address your comments below. After reviewing the visit documentation, we regret to note that you omitted some rather significant facts (it is possible that you forgot them or they did not fit the overall narrative). During your last visit, due to the patient's lack of cooperation, you were presented with various methods for resolving this difficult situation. First, the doctor who conducted the consultation suggested daily home exercises with a sedation mask and adaptation visits to prepare the patient for treatment. An alternative to these suggestions was a short pharmacological sedation procedure with an anesthesiologist. However, you did not use any of the solutions we presented (either two years ago or now). We should add that during the 2023 visit, you asked the doctor to prepare a cost estimate for treatment under general anesthesia as one of the treatment methods. During this consultation, other treatment options were also presented. After this visit, your child was also scheduled for standard conservative treatment, but you canceled this appointment the day before the scheduled treatment via text message. Furthermore, you accuse us of a lack of professionalism in the form of an incorrectly conducted examination in 2023. You claim that you consulted with several other dentists (!!!), and none of them found treatment needs in the four cases. These teeth were qualified by our doctor for conservative treatment due to decalcification in the fissures. We have full documentation from the day of the visit, including photographs, so we stand by our diagnosis and are fully confident in it. Finally, we want to ask a question. Of course, we're glad you returned to us after two years, but since you claim that several dentists (!!!) questioned our opinion on the indicated treatment needs (we also interpret this as a lack of trust on your part), we wonder what happened (or perhaps didn't happen) that made you decide to continue treatment at our clinic with your second child? A great place with a great approach to children. We've been going regularly since he was a year old. From his first visit, the nurse was able to convince him it was nothing to worry about. Now he goes every six months and isn't afraid of the visits at all.
