- My dental plan only allows the removal of gum tissue from 6 teeth per appointment (per month) - I have already undergone the gingivectomy procedure and other preventive actions with the periodontist But for those who know about this, even after removing the excess gum tissue, due to the maintenance appointments that move the teeth, they always returned to swelling, causing pain and bleeding constantly. But the situation is SO serious that both the orthodontist and the periodontist agreed that I needed to undergo the procedure to avoid further damage to my health, since it becomes very difficult to clean when the tooth is "protected" in the gum. That said, only after the PERMANENT removal of the braces would it be possible to perform a new gingivectomy, which this time would not require further adjustments since there would be no more maintenance. Did you understand everything so far? Perfect, let's get into the details of how it all happened: I have always received excellent care from the dentists at the clinic; they have all been cordial, professional, respectful, and people from whom I could obtain accurate and sincere information about dental procedures. In fact, I want to give special congratulations to all of THEM. They are the salvation of this clinic: Dr. Luciana, Dr. Mariana, and Dr. Liliane. However, regarding planning and organization, the clinic leaves much to be desired. It all started in September 2023, when I informed my current orthodontist that I would be leaving the city at the end of the first semester of 2024. Therefore, we would need to pause the treatment. In other words, 3 simple things; 1. Removing the braces 2. Gingivectomy 3. Retaining the braces I continued my maintenance appointments normally until January 2024, with the idea of doing the simpler things until April. But then something unpleasant happened: the orthodontist left the clinic :( I found out through a phone call with one of the employees. I remember she even said to me, "She didn't tell you?", I said "no". And up to that point, everything was fine, since none of this was the clinic's fault, right? Okay. Could a list of the patients of the dentist who left have been made, who for whatever reason had priority for treatment? Yes, but this minimum of organization is asking too much of the Orale group. Moving on... I managed to schedule the next appointment for MARCH with a new orthodontist at the clinic (and I only managed to thanks to Andréa from the Barra unit who scheduled me for Saturday). Terrible day? Terrible day, but I was determined to solve and do the three simple things mentioned above :) On the scheduled day, she didn't have my medical history, she didn't know anything about what needed to be done. I explained everything, as I did here. Could there be an organization of each patient's records to maintain a flow of care? It could be done, but that's asking too much of the Orale group. Since we couldn't do any of the three things, we scheduled a new appointment for the beginning of APRIL, where it would be possible to remove the braces. In the meantime, still in MARCH, I was seen by the lovely periodontist, a cleaning procedure was done, and we agreed that as soon as the braces were removed, a gingivectomy would be performed. Then, at the end of March, my appointment with the new orthodontist was canceled due to her leaving the Orale group. I tried to schedule with the clinic's new orthodontist, and (after much pleading) I managed to schedule for APRIL 2nd at the Caminho das Árvores unit. I told the receptionist on the phone to PLEASE inform the new dentist about my case, what it was about (braces removal - thing number 1), I explained everything to her as I did here, in an attempt to avoid going through the same situation I went through in MARCH. continues in the oral group BARRA....

I experienced a complication after a crown lengthening procedure performed by dentist Luciana Sales. I went through a very distressing period; I had a hemorrhage. I felt insecure and helpless. I didn't have access to her personal phone number and ended up in the emergency room!
I've never given a dentist a 10 out of 10, but Dr. Iuri deserves a 1000! He's attentive, calmed me down, and provided excellent service. He's a great professional and deserves all the praise!
