am sitting here in pain needing another root canal as we speak and I just can't fly back every year to fix the bad work that was done. They did some absolute horrible work on me and absolutely overcharged me for the shoddy job they had done on me. I absolutely feel taking advantage of and I would not trust these people at all. I would do your research and find a more reputable company even though these guys have good reviews don't be fooled. They should be ashamed of themselves! 😡😡😡

She was warm, patient, understanding, and treated me as if she had known me for years. She asked for pictures, reviewed everything quickly, explained the process, and helped me understand that I needed All-on-6 upper and lower. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, her kindness gave me the courage to move forward. She truly cared about me—not just as a patient, but as a human being. Hazel coordinated every detail. When I arrived in Costa Rica, Juan was waiting for me at the airport, smiling, kind, and ready to help. Hazel even came to meet me personally on my first day to make sure I didn’t feel alone. That meant so much to me. The moment I walked into Dentavac , I felt surrounded by love, warmth, and professionalism. Maria, Rocío, and Isabel greeted me with genuine kindness. These women are extraordinary—gentle, compassionate, and completely devoted to making sure I felt comfortable and supported. Their hearts are truly in their work, and you can feel that in every interaction. My surgeons, Dr. Acosta and Dr. Báez, were absolutely incredible. They explained every step to me with patience, clarity, and confidence. They worked with such precision and teamwork that I instantly trusted them. Their calmness made me calm. Their confidence made me brave. And the techs… their excitement for me was real. They celebrated my new smile with me as if they were celebrating a family member’s milestone. They even surprised me on my birthday with cake and singing. I will never forget standing there, emotional, surrounded by people who truly cared about me. It wasn’t just kindness—it was heart. I walked into this experience scared. But because of Hazel, Juan, Maria, Rocío, Isabel, Dr. Acosta, Dr. Báez, and the entire team, I felt held, supported, and lifted every step of the way. They turned something that could have been frightening into something beautiful. I never once felt alone. I never once felt unsure. Every single person there made me feel seen, cared for, and safe. Dentavac didn’t just give me a new smile—they gave me confidence, comfort, and a sense of family during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. These people truly have their hearts in their work, and their compassion is something I will carry with me forever. I recommend them with all of my heart. They are not just a dental clinic—they are extraordinary human beings, and I am endlessly grateful for every single one of them.

here who participated in my care were superb. For anyone here researching in advance of having similar work done and may be anxious about it, I will describe how it went for me. I was examined and x-rayed on the afternoon of the day I arrived. The following afternoon was the surgery. I was put under IV sedation that was described as "conscious sedation" but I remember nothing after the anesthesiologist inserting the needle until all the work was done. From the next day on I had minimal pain and little swelling, I think a testament to the skill of the surgeon Dr. Calvo. For the rest of my time in San Jose, there were short daily appointments at the clinic where they worked on the temporary denture. The poking and prodding at my gums was a little uncomfortable, but really almost nothing during the entire process rose to the level of "pain". Besides being far more expensive, I also don't believe I could have gotten better care anywhere in the USA. I'm very glad I decided to go to Dentavac clinic.

Rica by the professionalism of DentalVac and it's empoyee's. We were picked up at the airport and driven to our hotel by Juan, who is great! He was our chauffeur during our time in country. Dr. Baez explained the procedure and was sure to answer all my questions. To be sure, the procedure was NOT a vacation but Dr. Baez's entire team made sure I was as comfortable as possible. Dr. Acosta was great and Nico, the person that actually made my implants, explained all that went into making the teeth and fitted and refitted the implants until they were as perfect as can be. And Hazel, what can I say about her? She was my personal assistant during our stay. She scheduled my pickups with Juan, let me know what's going each day and what time. She was the one that recommended a few of the hotels to stay at before we even arrived so we could make reservations. And Rosy! She was the lady that had the most important task of making sure we paid. I think I scared her once when my credit card was declined and I think she was ready to check with Dr. Baez. But all turned out well, as my credit card was approved after I authorized it. And I must mention Dr. Carr, the person that inserted the posts. I don't remember much of that procedure, but after being convinced to use IV sedation, it went well. All in all, the team did a great job and took care of me. And beyond the people mentioned above, all the girls in the office, x-ray, assistants, hygienist, front desk and any title I forgot were great!! Oh, one last thing, the price was roughly half of the quotes I got in the states!

set up a time to get all my work done. In the space of 3 days, I got cavities filled, a root canal, wisdom teeth extracted, implants and more. It was SO much work and was done so expertly and with so much care. I had never been to Costa Rica before, and was nervous about all of it. Hazel, the patient coordinator, was on hand to provide me with so much info and support - before I arrived and while I was in country. The dental team was equally impressive and the care exceeded any level of dental care I’ve ever received in the USA. The dentist explained everything to me in great detail - I didn’t feel rushed or dismissed. Even the view from the dentist’s chair was stunning! (See pic attached). What was very different from dental care in the USA is that the specialists come to you, instead of you going to the specialists. I needed to see an endodontist and an oral surgeon - both of whom work at multiple practices but came to DentaVac to do my work. It was a one-stop-shop! And an affordable one. The work I had done would’ve cost me over $20,000 in the USA. In total, I’ll spend around $7,000 in Costa Rica. They even threw in a teeth cleaning for free! I added on some time to be on the coast during my recovery, which was quite literally a tropical paradise. I spent 3-4 days in Cahuita and so appreciated being in a warm and beautiful environment while my mouth recovered. As a single woman traveler, I felt safe at all times, and in all it was a seamless and enjoyable experience - something I never expected to say about dental surgery in a foreign country! I 1000% recommend DentaVac to anyone needing dental work done. I’ll be back for a followup visit in July 2025 and can’t wait to be back! A HUGE thank you to the DentaVac team!!!
