I am an older woman, and like many of my age group had bad experiences at the dentist when I was younger. However I can honestly say I enjoy going to Lumino, they treat me kindly and the actual Dentist makes me laugh, but also does a good job.

I attended a teeth hygiene appointment today with Mildred Reburiano, and the service was COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! I was seated at 4:04 pm, and the entire "cleaning" was rushed through and finished in less than 20 minutes — including teeth polishing. When I questioned how this was possible, especially when their website clearly states appointments take 45–60 minutes, Mildred Reburiano tried to point to a broken clock to justify the rushed session. When I showed the real time on my phone, she casually brushed it off without any apology or effort to correct it. Despite not having a professional clean for over three years, I was told my teeth were "already clean, and I am good at flossing" — an utterly careless and dismissive comment. It was obvious she had no intention of doing a thorough job. I can still feel plaque on my teeth even after the session, proving it was not done properly. Instead of taking responsibility, Mildred wasted time making irrelevant personal conversation, ignored my clear requests, and treated the appointment like a box-ticking exercise rather than a genuine healthcare service. I am more than willing to pay for a proper, thorough teeth hygiene service, but today's visit was COMPLETELY NOT WORTH IT!!!! The appointment felt UNPROFESSIONAL, RUSHED, and showed a complete LACK OF RESPECT FOR PATIENT CARE!!!!! I raised my concerns with reception immediately after. Absolutely would NOT recommend this clinic based on my experience today. Patients deserve better.

I was recommended Jacob grieve as a dentist by his colleague at the dunedin dental school. When I turned 18. Jacob always does a great job with all the treatment I have been receiving since 2000. His whole team from the hygenist to assistants and receptionists are so welcoming and friendly. I recommend knox dental lumino the dentists to anyone looking for a new dentist. Thank you to the team at knox dental for taking care of my oral health. Til next time 😊

One of the hands down best dentists I’ve ever been to. Grady is absolutely fantastic. Great at explaining everything, what she is doing, why she is doing it and what your choices and options are. Her calmness, kindness, confidence and communication is second to none. Definitely recommend and good at what she does!
