Origin Oral Surgeons

I have been meaning to write a review for Origin for many months, unfortunately life has been a little hectic over the last year. I have had trouble with my front incisor/first lateral since I damaged it in 1999, over the years there had been many many operations to save the teeth including apicectomy, root canals and failed implants. In 2024 I was referred to see Soo-Wee who advised me that replacement of my existing implant, bone and gum grafting would be best course of action, the operation was also performed under sedation. This was completed and it has quite literally changed my life. I cannot thank Soo-Wee and the whole team for their hard work and expertise in rectifying many years of average dentistry, restoring my faith in the profession and above all the care and concern they showed in my obvious dislike of dental procedures. I hope to never have to have another large scale dentistry in my life, but If I do I know I will be coming back to this practice. The practice itself is modern, well designed with easy access, they have access to state of the art equipment at the forefront of the industry. The staff are attentive to your requirements and both the pre and post Operation care is flawless. I can say without a doubt that this is probably one of the best (or in my opinion THE best) oral surgeries throughout the whole of New Zealand. This clinic has been instrumental in regaining my ability to eat all the food stuffs that had caused me issues in the past, and improved my overall health both mentally and physically. If this review had the option for 10 stars it would be given. class these 5 as 10! Couldn’t recommend Soo-Wee, Jessica and the wonderful team at Origin enough. They made the experience of getting my wisdom teeth removed comfortable and the recovery and aftercare was a lot easier than I expected, thanks to the team.

I had to remove a wisdom tooth as I was travelling. I was quite anxious about it, having to go through surgery during a travel is not exactly what you hope for but dr Jessica and her team were absolutely perfect. The extraction was done under local anesthesia and it was completely painless. The recovery was incredibly smooth, no pain, no swelling, no bruising. Thanks to them I’m ready to continue my travelling without any worries, thank you and would 100% recommend this clinic!

I recently had my wisdom teeth removed and the team were amazing! They were so kind and informed me on everything that was happening. My surgeon Soo-Wee did an amazing job on the surgery and made me comfortable. Would highly recommend them.

I just wanted to say how unexpectedly wonderful both mine and my partner's experience has been with Origin Oral Surgeons. Soo-Wee is not only an exceptional oral surgeons, him and his staff have the highest level of customer services skills I have found in Dunedin! Soo-Wee always made me feel comfortable and that wouldn't have Been easy given I am highly sensitive about getting any dental procedures done. Not only did he take time out to make me feel comfortable he custom made my procedure to ensure I was feeling the most comfortable I could. He is a genuine person and amazing at what he does along with the patience and in depth knowledge he has makes him a phenomenal surgeon ! All of the nurses there are amazing and take care of you in the most gentle and thoughtful ways. The lovely receptionist Chanelle and Fern were absolutely so wonderful and it was always a treat to see them all. I couldn't recommend Origin Oral Surgeons more for anyone wanting both excellent pre and post Oral Surgery care !

I recently had my wisdom teeth removed and was genuinely impressed by the level of care. The team was professional, friendly, and made what could have been a pretty uncomfortable experience surprisingly smooth. The procedure itself went far better than I expected, and the recovery advice was spot on. All in all, not a bad way to get three teeth pulled out. I highly recommend the team at Origin.

Five-Star Care from Nurse Alice & Dr. Soo Wee! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I came in for all four wisdom teeth extractions feeling super nervous—no sedation experience and a real fear of needles. My friend got her wisdom teeth out a couple of months before and recommended I go to this team and Dr. Soo Wee because she had such a great experience. From start to finish, Nurse Alice provided exceptional care—her clear explanations, calm reassurance, and genuine compassion kept me informed and at ease every step of the way. Dr. Soo Wee was fantastic too—cracked a few jokes that kept me relaxed, and performed the procedure flawlessly.
