Dental Ave is definitely the best in Costa Rica! I moved here 3 years ago from NY. I’m originally Korean and usually go to Korean dentists because I feel comfortable with them. doctors did a great job, especially Dr. Fernanda. She was friendly, skilled, and patient. All the staff, including doctors, nurses, and front desk, are very friendly too. The clinic is clean and nice, which is very important to me. I’m very happy with the care I received.🥰

They are concerned for my best care and try not to increase costs , if possible. I was impressed actually. I wish they were in the U.S. Everybody in the office I have been treated by was noticably more pleasant to interact with compared to my dental treatments in the past, and just as competent per my experiences with dental treatment in the states.
I highly recommend this dental practice! Romy's welcome at reception is always very pleasant and Dr. Madrigal, with his holistic approach that I had been looking for for a long time but had never found, works miracles!!

team. I felt safe and pampered at all times. Both the surgery and the post-operative period were painless, very easy to tolerate, and the recovery was incredibly fast. (My surgery: Extraction of a crown and an infected tooth due to a failed nerve treatment, disinfection of the jawbone, bone graft, and dental implant.) The swelling was minimal, and I fell in love with my new dental hygiene products (Blue M), which also take care of my gut flora. With a highly professional approach, technological support, and incredibly kind staff, my experience exceeded my expectations! sensitivity. I was told the Flash whitening treatment is of ultra high quality because from Germany and absolutely safe, no need to worry about discomfort. What happened to me was horrible. I had to ask them to stop the treatment at the second of 3 rounds, as I was crying of intense nerve pain. Not only did they make me feel like I was crazy by telling me “you’re the first person to ever cry for this”, they tried to overcharge me at time of leaving! Forget a compensation for the failure of the treatment, that’s not in their dictionary. Eventually, I recovered from the bad experience and decided to give the clinic another chance because they really do appear to be the best in their field. I came in for a broken filling. I was told this time that Dra DaCruz was absent but that a new Dra was available and I could fully trust her as Dra DaCruz’s protegee. Although my filling was broken, I had 0 pain. I was expecting to replace the filling for an incrustation made in lab the same day, but after talking with the new Dra, she said it wasn’t necessary, we could simply repair the filling and adjust the occlusion in a way that would prevent further breakage. I was happy with this decision, except as soon as she started working in my mouth, she was nonstop chatting and giggling with the assistant about other clinics and what tools they use and the wife of this person and bla bla bla. The least professional dentist I have ever encountered in my life. I had to ask her to please stop talking and focus on the actual work!! Well, coming back home and off the anesthesia, I started feeling extreme pain when drinking water or eat. Clearly, she had left exposed dentina. I had to go back again the next day, get anesthesia again, and a third time in the same week! 3 appointments for one filling and honestly it was so badly done, I now have some pain, which I didn’t have beforehand and the filling has a patchy texture feeling. The last Dr first told me I should simply take painkillers.. I had to convince him that something was off and show him where exactly it hurts before he proceeded to seal the tips of my tooth that were damaged in the 1st appointment. I have to say this Dr was more professional and even offered to try the whitening system on only one of my tooth, which is a bit darker. But they asked 100$ for that after making me come 3 times in a week for the same filling which I will now have to have repaired again somewhere else. I declined and left feeling bitter about the whole situation. Literally don’t be fooled by the pretty office and know it all attitude, there is better dental care in the country. The new Dra is so inexperienced and bumped all the tools at every chance on my teeth, and really doesn’t take her work seriously, she’s not at all focused and lack respect as she gossips over your open mouth.
