My comment isn't about the doctor's procedure; they apparently don't use the "doktortakvimi" website as their appointment system, and they called 10 minutes before the appointment to let me know. If that website isn't available, why are the appointment hours active? Oral surgeons are preferred, and this isn't a "let's go to another doctor" situation.
Dr. Özgür Gözlüklü successfully placed 3 implants in my wife's upper and lower jaws despite her osteoporosis. Other doctors had said that implants would not work for her jaw, and he never did any unnecessary procedures. We are extremely satisfied. I will now have them done myself and recommend them to everyone.
I absolutely do not recommend this clinic. They sold a simple night shift patch for 25,000 Turkish Lira to a customer—I'm not talking about a patient, I'm talking about a clinic selling it. Regarding Mr. Özgür's response, I just saw your comment and I'm saddened. I didn't say anything negative about your medical practice or insult you; I only said that the price you set for the night guard is exorbitant. Yes, my 20-gauge extractions went smoothly, and I didn't criticize that either, but in this economy, 25,000 Turkish Lira for that guard is still far too expensive. I'm not a doctor, but I've watched many videos, and they all use the same type of guard. Two weeks ago, when I went to another dentist for jawbone resorption, one asked for 4,500 TL for bone powder, and another for 16,000 TL – you can imagine. Furthermore, you didn't even issue an invoice. Again, I say, don't go to a doctor without researching prices and doctors. This is just my opinion. You didn't even call me to ask why I didn't come for treatment or check-ups. If you treated me like a patient, not just a customer, my follow-up would have been done meticulously. I do not recommend your clinic regarding pricing. You told me the registration fee, but you didn't mention that it also included the inspection fees for the following months, so how was I supposed to know, Mr. Özgür?

I am Dr. Özgür Gözlüklü, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. The patient in question presented to me in February with complaints of jaw joint pain and teeth grinding. Upon examination, I was informed that the patient had wisdom teeth that were positioned improperly, causing what we call primary contact, and that he was experiencing jaw muscle spasms due to teeth clenching. He was diagnosed with a chronic jaw joint disorder, medically known as temporomandibular joint dysfunction. Consequently, I personally informed him that his wisdom teeth needed to be extracted first, followed by a splint treatment that he would need to wear for at least six months, requiring twice-monthly checkups. After all the pricing information was provided, the patient agreed to the treatment, and the procedure began. However, the patient never attended any follow-up appointments after receiving the splint. We have the records. Splint treatment is much more than just a plastic appliance treatment where we hand the patient over and tell them to use it and get better. In this treatment, routine checkups and adjustments, performed twice or once a month, are the most important part of the treatment. Without these, what the patient calls a simple aligner is useless. The fee in question isn't the cost of a "simple aligner"; it's your six, perhaps even longer, months of follow-up and examination fees. Indeed, unlike the splints you mentioned in your comment, which cost 2.5,000-3,000 TL at other centers, this is a special appliance made from digital impressions and printed on 3D printers from extremely costly, biocompatible resins. I'm sure the patient in question used the phrase "simple aligner" knowing these differences when writing this sentence. Otherwise, he should be aware that he could legally defend himself against this accusation. To serve as an example for other patients reading this comment who come to me for joint treatment, I'll include photos of the splints made at my clinic and the splints made for 2.5,000-3,000 TL at the end of my text. I am a physician who is referred to and referred patients by many doctors in the region for joint treatment. Temporomandibular joint treatment requires high attention, care, dedication, and motivation. If you browse the comments, you'll find the thoughts of many patients who have benefited from my joint treatment. New patients also read these comments and are motivated. Temporomandibular joint patients who believe they will never recover respond much faster to treatment and become more motivated when they see other patients recover. I would like to emphasize that the legal and moral responsibility of any patients who read this comment and become discouraged lies with the person who wrote it. I have never considered my patients as clients, nor will I ever consider them. This is one of the greatest insults I can receive. If the comment is not removed, legal liability will be taken. In conclusion, I can say that your condition cannot be cured with a 3,400 lira plate (which is essentially useless; not even a single lira worth of benefits). A joint splint and six-month follow-up are required. The fee covers not only the plate itself but also the six-month follow-up. All these details are explained to the patient in detail from the outset, as pricing is a crucial point of collaboration. We are disappointed that you are criticizing a treatment you already knew what would be done and how much it would cost, four months later. We are disappointed because we couldn't reach you during every single treatment, including the extraction of four wisdom teeth, and you weren't our patient.
