and that's where I met Dr. Dayra. Honestly, I had high expectations for Dr. Dayra because of her TikTok videos and Instagram. It had also been very difficult for me to find an orthodontist in Copiapó who could finish my case. When Dr. Dayra saw me, she was kind, but when I wanted to start treatment, she didn't want to take my case. Perhaps because I already had braces, she didn't want to get involved. They made up a story at her office that she had other commitments and couldn't take my case. Then, at Integramedica (where I was getting my orthodontics), the head dentist suggested I continue treatment with one of the doctors she worked with, who happened to work with Dr. Dayra herself. We talked to see if she could take my case, and for no reason she refused. I was desperate, not knowing what to do. I felt quite upset because, especially if you haven't had good results with previous orthodontics, all you hope for is to find a professional who is willing to help you. While I don't know her work, I was disappointed with this attitude. A professional should be professional in every aspect, and this seemed very unethical and unprofessional to me.

As you correctly stated, you have a 5-year treatment history, and your current diagnosis is: Class II malocclusion with an 80% deep bite (ideally 20%) Incisal edge wear of approximately 1/3 of the lower incisors Canine and molar relationships in Class II TMJ clicking upon opening and closing Lower midline deviated to the left Treatment: Orthodontics - Surgery I explained all of this during the evaluation, and based on my 26 years of experience, I knew I couldn't assist you. I refunded the consultation fee so you wouldn't feel I had charged for the evaluation and wasn't going to perform the orthodontic treatment. I agree to continue orthodontic treatment if I'm sure it will help the patient; otherwise, I don't agree to subject them to many more years of orthodontic treatment with a correction rate of only 60-70%, and my good name will be at stake. I continue or perform orthodontic treatment with the conviction that the correction will be at least 85%, and that's not your case. After analyzing everything you've written, I believe I made the best decision not to take your case, knowing that your treatment expectations are very high and very difficult to achieve. I think you should also upload another photo where I refund the consultation fee and you reply, "Thank you for your honesty." I should have been more sincere when you came to my office. I hope it was clear to you why you shouldn't continue with your orthodontic treatment.

I requested a quote for orthodontic services, as it's a clinic that offers orthodontic services, but they didn't even ask me to come in for an evaluation (taking x-rays or whatever they require to treat you), they just refused to perform the service.

I don't know why you're making this comment. Appointments can be scheduled at +56 9 7437 7506. We would be happy to schedule an evaluation for orthodontic treatment. During the evaluation, we will determine your oral health status and explain your treatment options, including the treatment duration, the percentage of correction achieved, and the treatment costs. I will then provide orders for x-rays. These x-rays will determine whether or not you can begin treatment, as your bone and teeth need to be evaluated. I hope this answer has been helpful.
