My experience with this dentist was very disappointing. I went to her office to treat a tooth problem that required a root canal, which she said was covered by my insurance. However, she said she would only do the root canal if I had an onlay implanted, with a price completely out of the norm: R$ 2,600.00, while in other offices the same procedure costs on average R$ 1,000.00. a quote several times, but she was slow to respond and insisted that I go directly to the office to have the procedure done without telling me the price. When she finally revealed the price, I felt that her main concern was financial, not my situation. Even so, I tried to maintain a dialogue, asking about other procedures such as cleaning and cavity treatments, which she had said she did under the insurance plan. After apologizing and saying that the onlay was beyond my budget, her response was extremely rude, just a curt "no problem". Even so, I mentioned that I would be having other procedures done with her, such as wisdom tooth extraction, and I asked again about cleaning and cavities. The answer? Once again, just a "no problem," without any further response to my questions. My suggestion: she is a professional who demonstrates technical competence, but the lack of empathy and the focus on excessive profit end up making the service far below expectations. Be prepared to deal with high prices and little concern for resolving your issues as a patient.
