I had dental work in late May 2025 and an extremely pleased with my Hollywood smile that I now have.Dr. Belen Barrantes was my dentist and she did an amazing job in creating my new caps and I am so happy I listened to her recommendations regarding the color of my teeth. Overall, I feel very lucky and extremely pleased that Belen was my dentist. Dr. Gabriela Sibaja is the patient coordinator and is a practicing dentist so she is quite knowledgeable when explaining the procedures. She actually helped my dentist when they were gluing my crowns. I spoke with Gabby in April probably 4 times and then scheduled procedure for mid May. Overall, Colina Dental is a clean modern facility with excellent employees that gave me a Hollywood smile at a reasonable price.

After alot of research into Dental care in Costa Rica I selected Colina Dental based on reviews of many facilities, and contact with Gabriela the patient coordinator for Colina. My husband has been going to his family dentist in the States for over 74 years. After the original dentist passed ,his son took over the practice... It hasn't gone well. My husband's 78, Dental health deteriorated until I knew he needed to be pressured into better care, what better way to accomplish that than to add warm weather, beautiful countryside and a perfect Dental experience. Selecting Colina was the absolutely correct choice. His entire Dental array has been restored using the best crowns available. His smile is that of the man I married 40 years ago! I needed Dental care as well. I had Dental trauma from previous care. I was barely willing to consider having a broken tooth repair while I waited for John. Dr Belen Barrantes told me she could guarantee I would be gently treated with compassion and have no pain. Wow. She was true to her word. She was patient and professional in every way. I now have a new beautiful smile and believe I can continue to feel secure with my Dental care in the future. We will return to Colina Dental for our continued care. The on-site Dental labs allowed for 2 separate temporary fittings of our crowns before our final Circonia crowns. The result is perfectly fitted crowns with No spaces between the crown and gums! I also needed a root canal, whoo... They called in a specialist who does nothing but root canals... It was done, PAIN FREE in less than 20 minutes. My tooth is now painless. Such professionals of the highest caliber along with up to the moment technical labs and equipment makes Colina Dental the choice. The only choice. My eternal appreciation to the entire staff of Colina for our beautiful pain-free smiles. You are good people.

I'm 72. I had some serious work done at Colina a few months ago replacing my uppers with a permanent denture on implants and implants and crowns on all the lowers. It took two visits and a total of about 3 weeks to get it done. After a few months of getting used to these new teeth, I can say I'm thrilled. Colina Dental is simply outstanding. They were wonderful to work with and I fell in love with all of them. I never before thought I'd ever say that I missed my dentists, the technicians, and the office staff.

My experience started with staying at Colina Inn as a guest meeting patients that couldn't speak more highly of the dental practice. When I decided it was time to see a dentist they were the obvious choice. It was a great decision. From the first communication by Dr. Sibaja to walking out the door after my appointment they shocked me with the quality of service. First, the communication of Dr. Sibaja is unmatched in my experience. I was greeted by every staff member with professionalism and kindness. I wish I could give a 6th star. Once in the chair I was in the expert hands of Dr. Rebeca Phillips. I was nervous as it had been awhile, and my father was a dental surgeon. Not only did Dr. Phillips treat me so well, she is gentle, clear, and hands down the best dental experience I've had since my father. He would be impressed with this office and this doctor. I'm grateful that I found Colina dental. Thank you Dr. Sibaja and Dr. Phillips!

Get ready for a long winded and detailed review! If your like me you will appreciate it! I needed a good deal of dental work done (four front crowns replaced, cavities, replace old amalgam fillings, a cleaning and a check on an old root canal). The work was looking to cost me over 12,000 dollars. I had heard of people going internationally for medical/dental vacations and decided to do research on that option. Given my personality (complete type A ) I went full throttle into learning EVERYTHING that I could about traveling for dental work. I live in the southwest (US) so the first phase was me trying to find dentists in Mexico as it seemed the easiest and most logical place to go. All I seemed to go up against were sites and google searches that pushed you towards specific practices, fake reviews, pushy sales type patient coordinators, and horrible communication. You also can’t have any contact with the doctors prior to arriving, so that is a big red flag for me. Many of these dentists are not specialty trained as prosthodontist’s which you should insist on if you want cosmetic dentistry done. I was about at my wits end, felt overwhelmed, and the more I went down the rabbit hole the more I became super nervous about traveling internationally for the work. My last effort was reaching out to an old neighbor, remembering she had gone to Costa Rica for dental. Was the best decision I have ever made. The practice she recommended , colina dental, was INCREDIBLE. From my very first contact to the day I was taken to the airport after a week of dental work, I was BLOWN AWAY by the kindness and professionalism. I’ll say it again..BLOWN AWAY!! Dr Gabriela Sibaja was my patient coordinator. She was extremely communicative, very informative and absolutely lovely. One of my days where I had some extra time, she asked if I wanted to accompany her to pick up her little boys from school and go to her fave papusa place. I mean, C’mon! I felt like family! Dr Luisana Echandi did all my dental work. I have had a lot of dentists in my life (the big stuff started with a horse accident at 14yrs old). Never had ANY of them been soooo thorough nor as much of a perfectionist as she. Multiple times I would have the lab tech, the founder Dr Maricarmen, Dr Echandi, and Dr “gabby” standing over me discussing the most minute details for the creation my front crowns. It was like nothing I had ever experienced. Every step was discussed, she showed me all that she was doing and never pushed me to have extra work done. It was always in my control what I did and did not want to do. Such a relief. The office itself is modern and Clean. The technology used is top notch and they are very punctual with appointments. The drs and staff are fastidious about sanitation. A clean freak like my self very much appreciated the constant changing of gloves, gowns, and tools. They were better about it than my last dentist here at home. I stayed at the little BnB the practice owns and that in and of itself was a 5 star experience. If you go, and want a lovely place to rest your head in between appointments or breaks in dental work, this is perfect! Two steps away and you’re in this modern, super clean, welcoming spot. The crowns are more beautiful than I could have hoped for!!! Yes, I even cried tears of joy when I saw the final crowns placed. Real tears! They even fit more comfortably in my mouth than the original ones I had done 13 years ago. Crazy, but I even pronounce certain words better and more accurately. Who knew that could be a benefit?!?! The experience overall was more stars than there are in the sky. ❤️ Thank you to the whole team at La colina.

I love the professionalism, as everyone is very well prepared; the cleanliness and atmosphere of the clinic and also the use of state-of-the-art equipment and technology at affordable prices.

I am not a dentist's fan. I was recommended this dentist by a friend who had some work done and they were impressed. After receiving my diagnosis in the US for 6 implants and crowns as well as the estimate; I thought I would give them a try. Wow. Not only do they have all the services in 1 location, but they decided to do everything in two trips. With the amount of savings this is one on my few correct choices in my life. The treated e with compassion, care and kept me informed. Owning a small B&B next door was an added plus. There is also a nice Argentinian steak house close by you should try!
