The dentists took the time to answer all my questions during the multiple appointments and never made me feel rushed. I really appreciated how they explained my treatment options in a clear, honest way. The office itself is spotless, modern, and equipped with the latest technology, which gave me extra peace of mind. I have never seen this at an American dental office - and the view from the office is amazing! I usually get uneasy about dental visits, but this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. I am so disappointed with the American dentistry for so many reasons (exorbitant high cost, poor service, lack of attention and compassion, bad dental service, etc). I left feeling well cared for and confident about my dental health. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a team that is professional, compassionate, and genuinely invested in their patients’ well-being. I will be visiting this office to get mine and my family's dental needs taken care of in the future - That is right! I would rather visit Cleo Dental in Costa Rica while enjoying the country's beauty and a good food (casados and picadillos) than to get free cleanings in the USA. are so much cheaper than the ones you buy in the USA, and they are made of the same high quality material that implants in the USA are made from. They did an excellent job, and my husband is very happy with his implants and his new smile. Also, the views of Costa Rica from the office on the 18th floor are so amazing! Honestly I did not think that at my age I stand a chance to fix my mouth and now I don’t have enough words to praise them. The best dental experience, if there is such a thing.

(the form “Health Pass” is all digital and when completed you receive a QR code that you keep on your phone to be shown at the airport. (even though you fill out the Health Pass, I would still advise that you bring hard copies of your Covid test results and your Insurance contract) My flight was semi-filled. Not every seat was taken and there seemed to be an empty seat between almost everyone. The crew was on top of making sure everyone kept their face covered (except when drinking or eating) All went well on the flights. (both ways) When I got to Costa Rica, I was met at the airport by my driver. He handed me a clean mask and asked me to put it on, disposing of the mask I had worn on the flight. My driver was arranged by Cleo Dental/DR Castro. To minimize my exposure to multiple drivers, Cleo Dental required I use the same driver each day to and from their office. Each time I got in the car, I was provide hand sanitizer and asked to sanitize my hands. When I got to my hotel, I approached the front desk to check in and was immediately asked to step into the adjacent rest room to wash my hands. I then checked in and went on to my room. Given that CR had just opened to US visitors there weren’t many people staying at the hotel. (prior to coming to CR, Cleo/Dr Castro had explained to me that I would need to agree to basically self-isolate at my hotel and not be going out on the town at night. I agreed) The next day, when I arrived at Celo Dental, I noticed that they had white tacky sheet laid across the doorway floor. As I walked across it I could feel a light tackiness. (evidently some sort of sanitizing the soles of your shoes?) Next, I was greeted at the front desk where I was asked to present my prior covid test results and my health insurance contract. Then I was asked the typical series of covid symptom questions, thermal temp scan and blood/oxygen level measured. Each day when I returned, I the same protocol was followed. Everyone from the DRs to staff was wearing masks, face shields and gloves which I noticed were being changed frequently. I was very pleased with the work that was done and I am looking forward to returning to complete my smile work early next year. I wrote this review was to share with others who might be considering a trip to CR for dental work. By keeping in a bubble (limited outside exposure) you can minimized risk. Dr. Castro is interested in working to keep you healthy. In doing so, he is minimizing risk to you, to himself and to his staff. Cleo Dental understands, “we are all in this together”.

If and when I do need further dental work, I will be heading to CLEO to have it done! Oh, and an added bonus? Costa Rica, its people and cuisine make it a great place to visit!

Memo, the dentist’s driver picked me up from the airport and took me to the hotel. The hotel was discounted 40% because I was affiliated with Dr. Castro. The hotel also served special soft meals due to Dr. Castro. I have never met anyone as meticulous as him and his team. Everything had to be perfect or he redid it. I am 51 years old and have had a lot of surgeries. I have never been treated as well as I was there. The whole team is just unbelievable. I can’t say enough good things about every single one of them, especially Dr. Castro and his daughter, who is also a dentist at that office. I will forever be a patient of theirs even for the most minor work! Thank you CLEO!! I love all of you!❤️❤️

On my first day in Costa Rica, Dr Eduardo Castro Sittenfield and his daughter, Dr. Juliana Castro Lapeira (DDS and Prostodontist, University of Michigan) spent many hours with me discussing many different options to find what would be best for me. Many of the other dentists offered only the standard All-on-Six procedure. My treatment was completed in 2 visits to Costa Rica. One in August and another in February. Dr Castro leads an amazing team of professionals with laser-like focus, not only on providing the latest and highest quality technical procedures, but also on the human side of dentistry. Even though the office is usually busy (they are popular for good reasons!), I always felt that everyone in the clinic was pulling for me and truly cared about me. Everyone from the dentists, to the assistants and technicians, to the front office, to the driver and everyone else were extremely competent in their tasks and were always cheerful and ready to help me in any way. In addition to the amazing organization and people, the technology and expertise is just as amazing. Dr Castro told me that he had the first zirconia mill in Costa Rica decades ago. My bridges were made on a brand new mill using the latest technology. CLEO Dental continues at the forefront today, being only the second clinic in Latin America to install this latest high-technology equipment. My bridges were designed on a computer graphics CAD system, and plastic bridges were made for me to try for days at a time before cutting the zirconia bridges. Everyone in the clinic works tirelessly for the best outcome of their patients. As my work was nearing completion, I could see and feel the excitement of Dr Castro. He is a man who loves his patients as well as his work. This is also evident from his charity dental work in the Peace Corps and for the foster children of San Jose, Costa Rica. I truly feel that I am part of a loving family at CLEO Dental. I am really looking forward to my next checkup! I find it hard to believe that I've found such a caring and competent dental clinic anywhere on the planet. I am very thankful. I strongly recommend that you consult with CLEO Dental no matter where you live. The quality of the care and expertise is worth the trip. Plus, Costa Rica is a great place to visit!
