Christian Urrego Odontologia

Professional dental cleaning is one of the practice's featured services. Scaling and polishing removes tartar and plaque build-up from all tooth surfaces, including below the gumline, reducing the risk of gingivitis and periodontitis. Regular cleaning appointments every six months are the most effective preventive intervention for most patients, and combining a cleaning appointment with a comprehensive dental examination allows the dentist to assess the overall state of the patient's oral health, identify early decay or gum changes, and advise on any treatment that should be planned. For dental tourism patients visiting Colombia for a relatively short stay, a comprehensive examination and cleaning is often the most practical first appointment, establishing a baseline and identifying what further treatment may be worthwhile.

Dental crowns are a core restorative service at the practice. Crowns are recommended when a tooth has lost substantial structure through decay, fracture, or previous large restorations, or following root canal treatment. The crown rebuilds the tooth to its original shape, protects the remaining tooth structure from further breakdown, and restores normal biting function. Crown preparation typically requires two appointments -- preparation with a temporary crown and a follow-up appointment to cement the final custom-fabricated restoration. The cost of dental crowns in Colombia is significantly below North American and European prices, making crown treatment one of the most frequently sought-after services by dental tourism patients.

Tooth whitening is the other featured cosmetic service. Professional whitening using higher-concentration bleaching agents produces faster and more controlled results than over-the-counter products. In-office whitening can be completed in a single appointment, making it practical for patients with a limited timeframe. Take-home whitening systems with custom trays allow patients to continue whitening after returning home at their own pace. Whitening is frequently combined with other cosmetic treatments such as veneers or bonding as part of a broader smile improvement plan, and is one of the most cost-effective ways to refresh the appearance of the smile.

Root canal treatment is available for teeth with infected or irreversibly inflamed pulp tissue. The procedure removes the diseased pulp, cleans and shapes the root canal system, and seals the tooth permanently. A crown is placed after endodontic treatment to protect the tooth and restore function. Composite fillings address cavities of various sizes. Removable dentures provide functional tooth replacement for patients with multiple missing teeth.

Cosmetic dental services beyond whitening include composite bonding and dental veneers for patients who want to address the shape, size, or colour of their teeth more comprehensively. Smile design planning supports patients in developing a clear aesthetic goal before committing to irreversible cosmetic procedures. Dental implants are available for patients with missing teeth who want a fixed and permanent replacement solution.

Patients considering Christian Urrego Odontologia for dental care in Cali or Jamundi should contact the practice in advance to confirm appointment availability and discuss treatment requirements. A written cost estimate in Colombian Pesos for all planned procedures should be obtained before travelling. International patients should confirm the clinic's location relative to their accommodation and plan adequate time for all required appointments.
