Totally recommend Chew Dental. I'm anxious at the dentist and the staff made me feel at ease. Natalia is my dentist and she is fabulous, very gentle and has done a great job looking after me and my dental health.

I've been a patient of David's since he opened his practise in Jenkins Street. No- one I know likes going to the dentist nor the bill that follows but I've found David great in that he appears to be totally up-to-date with technology and has all the latest equipment to undertake full dental work. David always talks through the options on any extensive work whilst quickly giving you quotes at the same time to allow you to make sound choices. I've found his work to be excellent with thorough follow-ups to make sure that all is good, and I've found his pricing acceptable remembering that no-one likes a dentist bill. A great team at Chew Dental with friendly reminders so you don't forget your appointment, a smile with a cheerful hello when you walk through the door, and a friendly goodbye when you leave. If anyone's looking for dental work I would certainly recommend David and his team.

I visited this clinic due to tooth pain and had a consultation for about 7–10 minutes. I was advised to remove two teeth (including a wisdom tooth) immediately and replace them with implants, with an estimated cost of around $5,990. No alternative treatment options or medication were discussed at that time. The next day, I visited another dental provider for a second opinion. They advised that extraction was not urgently required and offered the option of root canal treatment instead. I proceeded with that treatment and am now feeling much better at a significantly lower cost. Later, I received an invoice and follow-up regarding consultation fees. While I have now settled the payment, I felt uncomfortable with the initial experience and the urgency suggested without discussing other possible options. I would recommend patients consider getting a second opinion before proceeding with major dental procedures.

Response from the owner 3 weeks agoDear Johny, thank you for your review. Yes, you came in for an emergency toothache and were quoted for two teeth needing to be removed with $400 each. I am not sure where the cost of an implant came from as it is not a common practice to place an implant in wisdom teeth area. As you were in pain, we offered to stay back and see you after hours without any additional after hours fee but you fail to turn up for your appointment. We are glad that you had your teeth sorted elsewhere in the end and we wish you the very best for ongoing care.

Overall nice practice but I got a thirty minute hygiene appointment for $140. He straight away said it would take two and did my bottom teeth for 30 minutes. Didn't even polish them a bit arbitrary given I went there on the price.
