Dear Bengisu, Thank you for providing us with more information so we can locate your medical history and the WhatsApp conversations we had with you. The name you gave us was abbreviated and didn't match the one we found on Google, but we have everything. I'll try to answer your message. You requested an appointment at our clinic to review an ongoing orthodontic treatment that hadn't been planned or reviewed by us. Therefore, for us, you are a new patient, and we need to start the diagnosis from scratch to rule out any pre-existing conditions that need to be treated before resuming orthodontic treatment. Yes, we told you that a CBCT scan was necessary (which is not a CT scan, but rather a high-definition, ultra-low-radiation 3D radiological scanner. This type of machine is very difficult to find in a conventional clinic). The reason is that in this initial diagnosis, as we informed you, we found several conditions unrelated to orthodontics that made it necessary to obtain more information about them and propose solutions. Apart from these, when a patient comes to us with orthodontic treatment already started at another clinic, we need to know the position of the tooth roots in relation to the bone. This is because we frequently encounter patients whose tooth roots have been partially displaced from the bone during previous orthodontic treatments, which is very detrimental to the patient. Therefore, it is essential to know this beforehand, as it significantly limits what can or should be done and what can be achieved with orthodontic treatments without further harming the patient. We charge €65 for the panoramic radiograph, because that is the cost of this radiological test and because you requested a copy in writing. In Spain, by law, we are obligated to provide the medical record upon request, but not the diagnostic tests; these are only provided if the patient pays for them. Regarding continuing orthodontic treatment started at another clinic with another doctor, as explained to you, this should not be done without the patient providing their orthodontic study and the necessary radiological tests, nor if the patient has other unresolved conditions. Since you provided nothing, we indicated that we could proceed, but starting from scratch. You did not see an orthodontist, even though we scheduled an appointment, because you declined to attend. You asked us for a diagnosis over the phone, which is not possible without seeing the patient. We understand that patients sometimes believe things can be done according to their own understanding, but to avoid side effects, it is best to follow the established medical protocols. We also understand that your time is valuable, and we were unable to explain clearly that to achieve your desired results, we must not skip essential steps or appointments to avoid unwanted complications. We hope you finally understand that our approach is not based on any kind of sales tactics. Hello Tyler, thank you for your comments. About the free consultation that you mention that you found in our web. As we explain on it, we give for free the consultation, our knowledge, the diagnosis. But to make proper diagnosis we must take a HD full mouth xray that is 65€ and is the only thing that you paid. Machines as this there are not many in the world. Are ultra low radiation and high definition. We made other diagnosis that you did not pay as the intraoral pictures, the transillumination diagnosis… But we will consider your comment to avoid future misunderstanding. Kind regards.

Good morning Andrea. Thank you for your message. We appreciate that you were satisfied with the cleaning and gave us 5 stars. On the other hand, we would like to clarify your review by stating that the initial reason you came to see us on November 30th was to have a suture removed from surgery you had at another clinic in August. We performed the necessary examination. We took intraoral camera photos to show you the condition of your mouth and performed a full high-definition panoramic X-ray, for which we charged €65. This X-ray is essential for a correct diagnosis, especially when the sutures have been in place for a significant amount of time. Sutures should not remain in the mouth for more than 2 or 3 weeks, and in your case, they had been in place for over 12 weeks. This is very problematic as it can lead to serious bone and gum infections. The cleaning cost €70. We charged €20 for suture removal. There was no charge for the examination and complete diagnosis. There was also no charge for diagnosing with transillumination lamps. What you may have forgotten is that you scheduled and paid for an appointment with our Periodontics specialist, an appointment you have not yet attended and which we strongly recommend you do. Before charging you anything, we informed you of each of the prices and the reason for your need for the treatment, showed you the photos, and explained all the necessary procedures. Good morning. Thank you for your message; it allows us to explain our working methods to our patients. As I mentioned yesterday, dentistry has changed significantly in some countries over the last five years. This is all thanks to the great technological advancements available today. With current equipment, we can see inside the teeth in ways we couldn't even imagine before. Our protocol, as explained to you yesterday during your consultation, for the accurate diagnosis of a patient consists of: 1. Taking a full mouth X-ray using an ultra-low radiation, high-definition machine. 500 times less radiation than other similar machines. 2. Analyzing the X-ray image. 3. Visually examining the mouth. 4. Using transillumination lamps to detect cavities, cracks, and fractures. 5. Using 3D scanners, if necessary, to assess other pathologies. 6. Providing the patient with information and a treatment plan. The two small X-rays your daughter brought yesterday, when asked what part of her mouth they showed, were not clear enough. They were manually developed (a technique that fell out of use many years ago in Spain) and do not provide sufficient information for diagnosis because they are not high-resolution images. As stated on our website, we do not charge for either the examination or the diagnosis. Yesterday, we did not charge for the first visit, just as we do not charge any patient. We provide our knowledge and time free of charge when making the diagnosis, but we do charge for the images taken, which are essential for a correct diagnosis, using our X-ray machines. These machines are only found in modern dental centers. I regret the negative impression you had of our dental center. I hope you can find a dentist who can offer you the service you are looking for.
