I've been a client for a few months now, and honestly, my opinion is... Once you walk through the door, you're in another world. Beautiful architecture, lovely paintings, artistic objects, not to mention they have some cosmetics in the bathroom. In my experience, this brings an air of elegance and respect for the client, because with so many delicious treats to eat on the avenue, who wants to…

smile at the dentist without brushing their teeth first? But now let's talk about the service... The receptionists are very attentive, helpful, clean, and organized. When they are doing any other task, one of the doctors takes on the role of receptionist, meaning the client doesn't wait for lack of attention, because the attention given there is meticulous. And now let's talk about my doctor, Robson. He's excellent, impeccably organized, clean, everything hygienic, always attentive, skillful, making any procedure as painless as possible. He's a doctor who does post-treatment follow-up via WhatsApp, always providing guidance and answering questions. The clinic welcomes you like a loved one is welcomed into their home, very cordial. 11 out of 10.
The whole team is attentive, especially Dr. Luciano who conducts my daughter's treatment very well, with caution, care, teaching skills and lots of affection! She loves going to Bucalle ❤️

The Clinical Team
Read the rest of the description
The strength of Buccale Odonto lies in its specialist team. Dr. Alvaro Jose dos Santos (CRO-SC 5293), a UFSC graduate specializing in Restorative Dentistry, brings decades of clinical experience to complex restorative and aesthetic cases. Dr. Luciano Theodoro (CRO-SC 4094), a UFSC alumnus with a post-graduate specialization in Orthodontics from UFPR, leads a significant portion of the orthodontic caseload. Dra. Bruna Theodoro Cury (CRO-SC 11656), also a UFSC graduate with an orthodontics specialization, completes the orthodontic team. Dra. Danielle Maya (CRO-SC 7738) brings expertise in facial harmonization, bridging dental aesthetics with aesthetic medicine. Dr. Vinicius Savio specializes in dental prosthetics and implantology, ensuring patients requiring tooth replacement solutions receive specialist-level implant and prosthetic care.
Orthodontics
Orthodontics is the clinic's hallmark specialty and has been since its founding. The team offers treatment with traditional metal brackets, aesthetic porcelain and ceramic appliances, and functional appliances for developmental cases in younger patients. Two dedicated orthodontic specialists allow the clinic to manage a high volume of orthodontic patients without compromising the attention given to each individual case. Orthodontic treatment is available for children, adolescents, and adults, and the team takes a long-term preventive approach that considers jaw development and functional occlusion alongside the aesthetic goals of alignment.
Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry
The restorative dentistry service, led by Dr. Alvaro dos Santos, addresses cavities, fractures, and wear with modern tooth-colored composite materials that restore both function and appearance. Cosmetic treatments include professional teeth whitening in both in-office and take-home formats, porcelain and ceramic veneers, composite resin veneers, and gum contouring (gengivoplastia) to reshape the gum line for a more harmonious smile. Custom occlusal splints for bruxism and TMJ management are fabricated in-house.
Implants, Prosthetics, and Periodontics
Dental implants are available for single and multiple tooth replacement, with in-house prosthetics capabilities including the fabrication of dental orthoses and prostheses ensuring that implant placement and prosthetic restoration can be coordinated within the same practice. Fixed and removable prosthetic solutions address partial and full tooth loss. The periodontics service provides professional cleaning, calculus removal, gum disease treatment, and maintenance programs that protect the supporting bone and soft tissue structures on which all dental work depends.
Facial Harmonization and Pediatric Dentistry
Dra. Danielle Maya's facial harmonization service offers orofacial aesthetic treatments including neuromodulator and dermal filler procedures as a natural complement to dental smile design. Pediatric dentistry provides child-friendly care from the earliest dental appointments through adolescence, with a brushing station and children's corner on-site to create positive associations with dental visits from an early age.
A Welcoming Clinical Environment
The six-room clinical facility is climate-controlled with audio and visual patient education tools, free Wi-Fi, a children's corner, and complimentary refreshments in the waiting area. These features reflect the clinic's commitment to a comfortable, unhurried experience that has kept patients returning to Buccale Odonto for more than a quarter century. Located on Avenida Rio Branco in the heart of Florianopolis Centro, the clinic is easily accessible by public transport from across the island city and the mainland district, serving both longtime Florianopolis residents and the international visitors drawn to one of Brazil's most dynamic coastal capitals.
