Beverly Wilshire Dental Kuala Lumpur

Scheduling an appointment on fairly short notice was easy. The dentist is located in a high-rise. After checking in at the reception desk with my passport, I was given a card to go upstairs. The dentist and a medical practice share the floor. I asked for X-rays, since it had been a while. The machine takes a complete set at once, which was much less of a hassle than bitewings. The consultation and cleaning went well. I didn't catch the name of the dentist, but she did a great job. I told her about sensitivity to the ultrasonic scaling, and she made adjustments to make it problem-free. The cleaning was done with something that seemed like a jet of baking soda solution. It seemed to do a great job. My previous dentist in Dover, New Hampshire had been pushing to replace a filling with a crown for a few years. I was concerned about over-treatment (which I've experienced with other dentists in the US) and because crowns have a limited lifetime. I asked the dentist at Beverly Wilshire, and she said everything looked healthy and fine. I would definitely come back here for dental care.

My wife and I researched dental offices in KLCC and this one had good reviews and was close to our location so we set up appointments online. It was very easy and straightforward. We are VERY happy with the service received. The X-rays were the same as we experienced elsewhere as was the cleaning. This will be our go-to dentist if we are ever back in KLCC. Highly recommend.

I confessed to the sweet and kind doctor yesterday, I haven’t seen a dentist in over 10 years. (😱) So I went in a little nervous, and I felt more than a little insecure about the cavities I knew I had. Turned out I had 7! But the doctor could not have been any sweeter. And the whole process was very comfortable. Once again, thank you so much for your great service and for getting me through so quickly and effectively. Update: I’ve just had an appointment with another dental clinic in Kuala Lumpur about my jaw pain and they have made Beverly Wiltshire look even worse. Trust me, this place is not going offer you a high standard of patient care. They do not see patients they just see money. They did less than the absolute minimum for me. And this has been proved by the support and treatment the dentist I saw today has given me from just one appointment. Also, as someone else has suggested I’m pretty sure this clinic has fake reviews. You can tell by looking at the profiles… I’m actually so disappointed with this dental clinic. I went there suffering with symptoms of TMD. I provided details of my issue before my appointment yet I was placed with a dentist who told me she was not a TMD specialist and I would need to arrange another consultation with the specialist. I paid for that appointment and was referred to Datin Dr Norma Jalil. I was given her card so I could look up her credentials on the website before my appointment. I was feeling positive she would help after a disappointing start. I turned up for my appointment the next day and was in the dental chair a maximum of 5 minutes before she offloaded me with a painkiller prescription and sent me away. She did not even explain the cause of TMD other than to ask me if I was stressed (to which I said no). She did not talk to me about bruxism or anything else. She did not explain to me what I can do to help relieve my symptoms in other ways. She gave nothing in terms of recovery time - if I would even recover. I had to ask about this and all she said is it will come and go. I left feeling upset, more confused and more hopeless than before I contacted the clinic. I got so much more help from just messaging my NHS dentist back in England. I think they didn’t see enough $$ above my head. I’ve never had such a useless experience with medical care. To top it off, for both appointments I had to follow up with the receptionist to get my appointment time. If I’d left it, I don’t think I would have even heard back. In hindsight, this would have been a better result.

I went to this dentistry to remove one of my teeth for preparation for the implant. Overall I had a very long surgery for removal, it was pretty traumatic, however, I should admit the surgeon removed the tooth fully. There are a few points that might be problematic. The surgeon is in the clinic only twice a week so in case if u have complicated removal u would need a reschedule. If you complication after a removal that also would need to wait until the surgeon is in the clinic. It was also unclear but looks like general practitioner does implants as well, which I find very odd and I think for quality implant customers would prefer implantologist that solely focuses on implants. Lastly, I was prescribed way too much antibiotics(625mg) that made me very sick even though I have no stomach issues. I had to take antibiotics for two rounds as well. So you have to advocate for yourself in case they prescribe antibiotics in the clinic.

She agreed to contact me later that day but I did not hear from her/ anyone from your clinic since then. I'd appreciate it if you took the time and effort to return the call before posting anymore updates here. I'm keen to know what necessary action you have taken to improve your customer service. I came across Beverly Wilshire (buy 1 free 1 scaling & polishing RM180 promo) on Google and decided to go there today. Dr. Tan and her assistant were friendly and have done a good job sharing on-going teeth whitening promotions, highlighted areas of concern regarding my teeth and even discussed options with me. The whole procedure was pleasant and completed in less than 45mins. Upon payment, I was surprised when I was charged RM150 for consultation on top of the RM180 procedural fee and RM15 registration fee. Admin assured me that I don't have to pay a single cent in my next visit. Also, one would think that complimentary valet parking means free parking, but in my case, I had to pay RM10 to park in designated valet spot for Beverly Wilshire Dental (valet #6) in the basement and it cannot be waived. Anyway, having to pay such high amount/ consultation fee for scaling and polishing is a first for me as I've paid less for the same, if not better dental service elsewhere.

Dental tourism here. After some investigation I went to 2 dental practices in KL for a check up with the idea of choosing the 'best'. I chose BW Dental and Dr Ying Yin. She didn't upsell me, in fact she did the opposite and made a compelling case that this was the right approach. I liked that she had 'soft', precise hands. Noticeable when she did the anaesthetic injection, didn't feel it. 8 crowns and one filling well executed. Cannot recommend her highly enough. They're a little more expensive than comparable, about 10%. Worth it, no question.
