At the same time, we are very sorry that you are interpreting a referral for a diagnostic test ordered by a licensed physician with many years of experience in this way, questioning his competence in this area. Our actions are always dictated by our concern for the health of our patients and the desire to provide the best possible care. We, as physicians and Artdentina staff, repeatedly demonstrate this. Therefore, we are even more concerned that you accuse us of attempting to extort money by performing a test whose price is publicly available, even though our dental center is structured in such a way that the doctor who treated you receives no benefit for ordering the test. Therefore, it is not in his best interest to order unnecessary tests. On the contrary, he always tries to weigh whether such a test is necessary, thus promoting patient satisfaction and his image. It is also worth clarifying a fundamental issue at this point. You came to us with a panoramic X-ray. However, the doctor ordered a CT scan, which was necessary to diagnose a structure that was unclear in the X-ray. Panoramic X-ray to determine the appropriate treatment method. Before the examination, you were informed of its purpose and consented to the procedure. It is also true that the examination had to be repeated because the initial CT scan did not capture the structure of interest, which can happen, for example, if the patient moves slightly during the examination. Despite this, payment was only charged for one CT scan, so we cannot agree with your accusation of greed. At the same time, we want to reassure you. With modern equipment, the radiation dose is significantly limited, and the examination is performed in accordance with all procedures. During the examination, the patient wears a special protective apron made of lead rubber, which effectively blocks X-ray radiation. Please trust us that if there were any health risk from a repeat examination, the appointment would be postponed. The health and safety of our patients is our top priority, and we strive to provide the highest quality services, and diagnostic imaging is essential for proper treatment.
