I've been to this clinic three times and each time the service is excellent from start to finish. The staff is extremely kind and professional and the work is top notch. But the final result didn't stop there, I had Dr. Rafael who extracted my wisdom teeth, Dr. Daniela who took care (and takes care) of my oral hygiene and Dr. André who even entertained my son while I was being treated. Finally, Dr. César Signori who did the dental restorations, the final touch, an essential step that had been considered since the day of the first evaluation. In the backstage area, there are names that cannot go unnoticed: Dona Fernanda, Thayná, and recently Mariana. Thayná, besides being a kind and 5-star woman, always listened to my difficulties and did more than possible to help me achieve my dream of having a perfect smile. I was able to follow Mariana's evolution within the clinic. If I'm sure of anything, it's that this is a clinic and a team that I will carry with me for life and that I recommend to all my friends and family. My own 4-year-old son will be treated here. I went to this clinic, the doctor was very attentive, however the receptionist seemed very greedy, only thinking about money and showing no empathy towards the individual case of the client, which in this case is me. You were first seen at our Alinea Lisboa clinic for a root canal assessment. Given the complexity of your case, our specialist suspected the possibility of a broken file inside the root canal. As a precaution and to ensure your safety, he referred you to a radiology center for a CBCT scan — a standard and responsible diagnostic procedure in such cases. Because you mentioned urgency due to an upcoming trip, we accommodated your request and promptly scheduled you at our Alinea Estoril clinic with another endodontist, Dr. Nuno. At no point did he state that the exam was unnecessary. On the contrary, when asked, he confirmed that if his colleague had requested it, it was with your best interest in mind and based on clinical judgment. Dr. Nuno completed the root canal treatment and the final restoration in the same session — an outstanding result, which we have documented in detail. As Clinical Director, I personally reviewed your radiographs, spoke to both treating doctors, and verified that the treatment was conducted with excellence, according to best practices. At the time of payment, you demanded a €50 deduction for the CBCT scan done externally. Our front desk team politely explained that we cannot deduct fees related to exams prescribed by a medical professional. You were informed of all costs in advance, approved the treatment plan, and were never charged for anything beyond what was agreed. Your public statement suggesting that we are only interested in money is unjust and inaccurate. At Alinea, no treatment begins without the patient’s full informed consent and acceptance of the quote. This was true in your case as well. We also attempted to contact you directly to clarify matters, but our calls went unanswered. We understand that dental treatments are not always pleasant, and we sincerely wish that every case could be resolved quickly, painlessly, and in a single visit. However, as you certainly know, medicine is not an exact science — it requires time, diagnostics, and responsible decision-making. Numerous aligners arrived late, and, at times, I found myself using the same aligner (designed for a 10-day wear in theory, and crafted from a fragile plastic) for over three months! Professional Dedication: - Anticipated: A lead orthodontist deeply committed to ensuring the treatment's optimal outcome and genuinely concerned about the end result. - Actual: It resembled more of a "customer processing" routine than a meticulous "Before and After" evaluation. Why? Because he knew that with a little extra effort, he could have achieved significantly better results, but he displayed a complete lack of care. Perhaps their priorities are overly inclined towards sales, disregarding clients who have faithfully adhered to them throughout the entire treatment. I've exhibited immense patience and understanding over the past three years, rescheduling only twice. The last time I had to reschedule, they provided me with an appointment over one month later, fully aware of my impending move to another country. It's now been more than two months beyond the promised date for receiving my retainers. Mea culpa: My own fault lies in opting for their ostensibly more affordable "in-house version of Invisalign treatment," termed "Digital Aligners." Regrettably, it resulted in substantially higher costs, an extended treatment duration, and, ultimately, mediocre results.
