Why Choose Alberta Dental in Los Algodones?

All-specialties dental clinic in Los Algodones since 2012, with 10 specialist doctors, 70% savings vs. US prices, and free transportation from Yuma.

Alberta Dental has been serving international patients in Los Algodones, Baja California, Mexico since 2012. Positioned just steps from the US-Mexico border at Av. A & 2nd St, Suite 3, Plaza Cesar, the clinic has built its identity around a clear and compelling promise: all specialties, one clinic. Over nearly 12 years of continuous operation, Alberta Dental has developed a team of 10 dentists and specialists who collectively cover every major field of modern dentistry under one roof.

Los Algodones -- widely known as Molar City -- draws thousands of patients from the United States and Canada each year who are seeking high-quality dental care at dramatically reduced costs. Alberta Dental has established itself as one of the most comprehensive practices in this highly competitive market, differentiating itself through its multi-specialist team structure, patient-friendly services, and a warranty offered on all procedures.

A Team of 10 Specialists

Alberta Dental's clinical strength lies in the depth and breadth of its dental team. The clinic's 10 doctors bring combined expertise spanning implantology, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. All team members are bilingual in English and Spanish, making communication seamless for the clinic's predominantly English-speaking international patient base.

Dr. Hector Russel brings 15 years of experience and holds a D.D.S. from the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), supplemented by a specialty degree in oral implantology, surgical prosthesis and bone grafting, along with training in All-on-4 and maxillary sinus lift procedures. Dr. Jesse Escobedo, also a UABC graduate with 12 years of experience, combines dual specialty training in both oral implantology and endodontics. Dr. Noyra Ponce Hernandez is the clinic's periodontist, with 17 years of experience, certification from the Mexican Council of Periodontics, and an academic role as a periodontics instructor at UABC. Dr. Ahidaly Cortez Willes brings 12 years of experience in implant rehabilitation and digital smile design, while Dr. Emmanuel Perez Chacon and Dr. Alan Morales contribute expertise in implants, pediatric dentistry, and endodontics respectively. Dr. Yareli Canizales focuses on oral implantology and aesthetic rehabilitation, and Dr. Jose Ricardo Vazquez rounds out the team with general dentistry expertise.

Comprehensive Services

The clinic's all-specialties model means patients can address a wide range of dental needs in a single location rather than visiting multiple practices. Services at Alberta Dental include dental implants, All-on-4 procedures, full-mouth reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry, porcelain veneers, dental crowns and bridges, teeth whitening, root canal treatment, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontal care, oral surgery and tooth extractions, prosthodontics, and routine cleanings and checkups.

Patients dealing with advanced tooth loss can consult with the implant specialists to determine whether individual implants, implant-supported bridges, or full-arch solutions like All-on-4 are most appropriate for their clinical situation. The team's dual training in implantology and bone grafting means that many patients who might otherwise be turned away elsewhere -- due to bone loss or other complications -- can still receive implant treatment at Alberta Dental.

Patient-Centered Conveniences

Alberta Dental has invested in a range of services designed to minimize the friction of cross-border dental tourism. The clinic offers complimentary transportation from Yuma, Arizona, picking patients up and returning them after their appointments to eliminate the inconvenience of navigating the border crossing on their own. This shuttle service is particularly appreciated by patients undertaking multi-day treatment plans.

For patients who prefer to plan ahead, Alberta Dental provides free virtual consultations, allowing prospective patients to meet their assigned dentist remotely, receive a preliminary treatment estimate, and make informed decisions about their care before traveling. This no-obligation service removes much of the uncertainty that patients new to dental tourism may feel.

All transactions can be completed securely without requiring patients to carry large amounts of cash -- an important practical consideration for patients traveling internationally. Patient coordinators are available through the clinic's website to assist with scheduling, answer questions, and maintain clear communication between the patient and their treating dentist throughout the process.

Quality Assurance and Value

Alberta Dental stands behind its work with a warranty on all procedures -- a commitment that communicates genuine confidence in the quality and durability of its clinical outcomes. Patients can also expect savings of up to 70% compared to equivalent dental work in the United States, without any compromise in materials, technology, or the qualifications of the treating dentists.

The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., providing accessible hours for patients planning day trips or extended stays in Los Algodones.

For patients looking for a clinic that genuinely offers the full spectrum of dental specialties in a single, coordinated environment, Alberta Dental delivers on that promise with a deep, experienced multi-specialist team, thoughtful patient-friendly logistics, a warranty on all procedures, and a strong track record built over more than a decade of serving international patients from across the United States, Canada, and beyond.

My first visit to Alberta Dental was during the pandemic after copious research . Nervous canโ€™t begin to explain my feelings at first . I had extensive work done there which was streamlined into a five day period ( that which is truly magical after having months of lag time in the states at dentists ) I felt at ease immediately and back then it was Griselda and now Grace is always available to work with you via text. Ive continued to return to Alberta Dental . Now bringing my husband and friends in for great dental care! Better than ANY Iโ€™ve had in California ! Good luck to you all!

Within 5 days the crown separated from the post and they assumed no responsibility, would NEVER use them again. Had to spend major $$ to fix their mistake.

Wife and I went in for a teeth cleaning and they seem to have done a good job. They said they would give me free x-rays but they never did now Iโ€™m guessing because Iโ€™m 80 years old that they try to convince me that they gave me the x-rays Which I am smart enough to know better. They wanted $2800 to work on the two teeth that they did find they were bad which was also overpriced and not necessary. I went to another dental shop costing me an overnight stay but I got the two teeth just pulled because that werenโ€™t necessary. One was a wisdom tooth , that shouldโ€™ve been removed 50 years ago. Hope somebody read this because itโ€™s important that you use caution, if you go to this dental.

Clinic response ():

Response from the owner 2 years agoWe are sorry to hear about your experience. We have reviewed our records regarding what happened in your case, and as our doctor mentioned at the time, you would be referred to a specialist who would then perform the necessary X-RAY to determine the most appropriate treatment for your case. Unfortunately, you chose not to take that option and decided to go to another clinic.

Standard low end dentist office. I do not recommend for any services; they will use the excuse of their standard procedure to get X-rays first to identify all dental cavities/ issues to get the most work out of you. Staff are students out of practices with very low matters. Get use to hearing them bad mouth other patients. Leonardo Vazquez Martin was who did the check in and spoke very poorly and acted stand off ish to any concerns the patient had. Worst experience in a Mexican environment.

Clinic response ():

Response from the owner Edited 2 years agoWe regret to hear about your experience. Unfortunately, your name isn't in our records... Could you please let us know under which name your medical record is registered with us? This will allow us to review the treatment you received and identify where the issue lies so we can take appropriate action. I have personally taken the task of reviewing your history, but I have not been successful in locating your name on our system.

Frequently Asked Questions

What treatments are available at Alberta Dental? โ–พ
Alberta Dental is a full-service clinic covering virtually every dental specialty under one roof. Core offerings include dental implants, crowns, bridges, veneers, orthodontics, root canals, oral surgery, periodontics, and cosmetic procedures such as teeth whitening and smile design. With 10 specialist doctors on staff, patients with complex or multi-specialty needs can have different aspects of their treatment handled in the same facility rather than being referred across multiple offices. This makes Alberta Dental a practical choice for patients who want to complete a comprehensive treatment plan during a single trip to Los Algodones.
How much cheaper is dental care at Alberta Dental vs. the US? โ–พ
Alberta Dental advertises savings of approximately 70 percent compared to US dental prices, which aligns with what most patients report. A porcelain crown priced at USD 1,200 to 1,600 in the United States typically costs USD 350 to 500 at Alberta Dental. Implant packages that would run USD 3,500 to 5,000 per tooth in the US are generally available in the USD 900 to 1,500 range here. For patients needing several crowns or a full arch restoration, the total savings can easily cover the cost of travel and a few nights in a nearby hotel, leaving a significant net benefit.
Is Alberta Dental accredited or certified? โ–พ
Alberta Dental has operated since 2012 and maintains professional certifications aligned with recognized dental standards. The clinic's specialist doctors hold credentials from accredited dental programs and continuing education bodies in Mexico and North America. While specific international accreditation details are best confirmed directly with the clinic, the team's long track record since 2012 and the breadth of its specialist roster speak to the institutional credibility of the practice. Patients are encouraged to ask for credentials documentation during their consultation.
Do the dentists at Alberta Dental speak English? โ–พ
Absolutely. Alberta Dental has been serving American and Canadian patients since 2012, and English is a standard working language throughout the clinic. Both clinical and administrative staff communicate comfortably in English, so you can expect clear explanations of your diagnosis, treatment options, and pricing without any language barrier. This is especially helpful when navigating complex treatment plans involving multiple specialists, since you can ask questions and get direct answers at every stage of your care.
How many days do I need for treatment at Alberta Dental? โ–พ
Planning depends on the scope of your treatment. Simple restorations such as fillings or a small number of crowns can often be completed in 2 to 4 days. Implant placements with temporaries generally take 4 to 6 days to allow for placement, healing assessment, and fitting. More extensive full-mouth cases may be spread across two visits. Alberta Dental also offers free transportation from Yuma, Arizona, which makes it convenient for patients staying across the border and traveling over for day appointments rather than booking accommodation in Los Algodones.
What implant brands does Alberta Dental work with? โ–พ
Alberta Dental uses established implant systems suited to each patient's clinical requirements. The specific brands in use are best confirmed during your consultation, as choices may depend on bone quality, the type of restoration planned, and the implant specialist's preferred system. Leading global brands such as Straumann, Nobel Biocare, and Zimmer Biomet are commonly found at high-quality Los Algodones clinics, and Alberta Dental's specialist roster is trained to work with premium systems. During your quote request, ask which brand will be used and request documentation of the implant's manufacturer warranty.
Is it possible to complete implant treatment in just one visit? โ–พ
In many cases, Alberta Dental can place an implant and attach a temporary prosthetic during a single visit, so patients leave with a functional tooth replacement. Whether same-day loading is appropriate depends on bone volume, overall oral health, and the number of implants being placed. All-on-4 cases, for instance, are frequently completed with a temporary arch on the day of surgery. Permanent restorations are then placed at a follow-up visit after osseointegration, which typically takes three to six months. The clinic's specialist team will assess your eligibility and explain the realistic timeline during your initial consultation.
What technology does Alberta Dental use? โ–พ
Alberta Dental invests in modern diagnostic and treatment technology to support its specialist team. Digital radiography, panoramic imaging, and intraoral cameras are used for accurate diagnosis. For implant planning, cone beam CT scanning provides three-dimensional views of bone structure that traditional X-rays cannot capture. CAD/CAM systems and digital impression tools reduce turnaround times for crowns and prosthetics. With 10 specialist doctors and the equipment to match, the clinic is set up to handle complex cases that many smaller practices would need to refer out.
What happens with aftercare after I go back home? โ–พ
Before you leave Los Algodones, Alberta Dental provides detailed written aftercare instructions and a copy of your treatment records and X-rays. Remote follow-up is available via email or messaging for any questions about healing, discomfort, or care of new restorations. If something requires in-person attention, the treatment documentation makes it straightforward for a local dentist to assess and continue your care. The clinic is experienced in supporting patients across the border and understands the importance of remote communication for patients who cannot easily return for minor issues.
How do I request a quote from Alberta Dental on SmileJet? โ–พ
You can start by finding the Alberta Dental clinic profile on SmileJet and using the free quote request form. Attach any recent X-rays or photos of your teeth and describe the treatment you are looking for. Alberta Dental will review your information and respond with a personalized estimate. If you need transportation from Yuma, Arizona, mention that in your message since the clinic offers a free shuttle service for patients. SmileJet gives you a central place to manage your inquiry and compare options from other Los Algodones clinics side by side.
